Learn the secrets behind making pasta from scratch during a half-day workshop in Florence. Join a hands-on cooking class to prepare ravioli, tagliatelle, and spaghetti, plus authentic sauces for each type of pasta. What to expect
Arrived at the meeting point we are waiting for you no later than 10 minutes after the agreed time (only in case of emergency contact +393931050885) The class will be a 2 minute walk from the meeting point As soon as you arrive, you decide the menu based on the chef's instructions and your tastes (so always remember to report what you don't like if you have allergies) We start preparing pasta and sauces (about an hour) Short break for a refreshing aperitif (about 15 minutes) We continue with the execution for ravioli, tagliatelle, spaghetti or other pasta that we decided to prepare (about 45 minutes) In the end we eat and drink! I remind you to use proper clothes because you will be in a real kitchen so, for your safety and comfort, if possible not short shorts, no too wide and long sleeves, low-cut dresses and gathered hair. Absolutely no heels

This was to be the highlight of our Florence trip, and it did not disappoint! It was a small group, my husband and two lovely ladies from Minnesota. Chef Vary made us feel extremely comfortable, reminding us that 'its just pasta,' if we made an error, or had to recheck instructions.

We made three different pastas and sauces. Chef Vary shared the tasks equally between us, explaining everything as she went; she's extremely well organised and slick. We then adjourned to the wine tasting, where we met her husband. What a lovely couple and a delightful store with lots of very interesting items to browse.

Next we rolled our pasta, and began the cooking process. It was heaps of fun, and although I made a couple of technical errors, that was great, because when I reproduced the pasta at home yesterday, I could easily recall the error. Better to make the mistake under Chef Vary's watchful eyes.

Finally, we got time to sit down, eat and drink. The food, and the wine were delectable! The pasta melted in our mouths, the sauces were simple, but bursting with flavour. The conversation equally as enjoyable, and as we were travelling alone it was nice to socialise, which is another reason I chose this activity.

As I have already mentioned, I made pasta at home yesterday and my children and two pasta addict grandsons can't wait for me to give them a pasta making lesson.
Seriously, if you are even considering this - book now - you won't regret it!

Highlight of our trip!
We had the best time at Chef Vary’s class. Our group consisted of great chefs and people who had never cooked and we all loved it and learned a lot! The food was the best pasta we had in Florence (and we had a LOT of pasta in Florence). We will definitely be returning!

The highlight of our holiday!
A fantastic course and excellent value for money. Chef Vary was organised, hospitable, very knowledgeable and generously shared many ‘trade secrets’. We prepared Gnocchi, tagliatelle and ravioli and had enormous fun. The course is a good level of challenge yet not stressful and the Chef adapted the various tasks to suit individuals competencies. Eating dinner with a complimentary glass of excellent wine in the immaculately clean and warmly decorated dining room was ‘the icing on the cake’. Highly recommended.

This was such an amazing experience. My friend and I attended the class with one other couple. The couple who runs this class is extremely hospitable and really know how to give you a great time. The food we made was absolutely delicious. This was my first experience with a cooking class and it could not have gone any better. I enjoyed the intimacy of the small group.

THE Most Fun Experience We Had In Florence

This pasta making class was the gem in our trip to Florence. Chef Vary not only taught us how to make 3 kinds of pasta (ravioli, gnocchi, and spaghetti in our case), she did so with humour, and in a way that was easy to understand for non-chef folks like ourselves. Before we knew it, we had made some truly delicious dishes.

Thank you Chef for the great experience as well as the knowledge that making fresh pasta can be done easily and with local ingredients. And a special thank you for accommodating our last-minute scheduling. We had booked a wine tour for the day (elsewhere), but that tour ended up being cancelled. Chef Vary was kind enough to take us in on short notice, and upon hearing about our previous wine tour misfortune, Chef's husband sampled with us some of their wines (they were all amazing, but the pepper-infused was the favorite).

This whole experience turned what had been a particularly frustrating day into our MOST memorable evening in Italy.

If you have the opportunity, please take a class with Chef Vary, you will not regret it!

Chef Vary and her husband were great host! We were not the easiest folks to accommodate, but yet they did. It was a wonderful cap to an amazing trip. We had never made fresh pasta before and we got experience with three different types. We can't wait to try them at home! All the ingredients were fresh, in season and local, which I loved! The herbs and vegetables were amazing! The place is also very lovely, it had a sophisticated yet homey feel! We felt right at home and really enjoyed our time! We would do it again in a heartbeat! This is a must do!!

Fun with pasta

This was one of our most fun experiences in Florence. The class was in a large modern and spacious kitchen. Chef Vary was a great teacher and host, along with her significant other. She was knowledgeable, warm and funny. We made three different types af pasta with three different sauces using local seasonal ingredients. There were only three couples so we were able to sit and enjoy our pasta along with some great wine and conversation in a quiet, intimate atmosphere. Chef Vary offers several different classes and I would definitely recommed that you try to book one while you are in Florence. Its a nice break from all the sighseeing.

Fantastic Experience!

In Italy for our honeymoon, and couldn’t miss out on this cooking class! Small group keeps it interactive and everyone gets hands on experience. The chef was educational yet hilarious, the wine was superb, and the pasta dishes fresh and delicious! Once you make fresh pasta you won’t want to go back to store bought. We highly recommend!

Chef Vary and her husband were fantastic. They were wonderful hosts, and Chef Vary gave excellent instruction to us all, while interjecting humor along the way. Oh, and the Pasta was fabulous! I highly recommend this experience, for a fun-filled and delicious evening, specifically with Chef Vary.

What a fabulous learning experience. Chef Vary was so much fun and informative! Our group was made up of eight couples from different English speaking countries. The kitchen where we worked was well designed and Chef Vary moved through it with talented ease. We made several types of noodles and 3 different sauces. All good and flavorful. We learned how to prepare fresh artichokes on a stems and enhanced our chopping skills. All in all we had a blast! My husband wasn’t sure he would enjoy doing this, but he really enjoyed himself!!
