- Texash12070 contributionsAn Uffizi MustThis group has the most warm, interesting, and friendly guides. I highly recommend a guided tour of the Uffizi gallery. It will help you glean more information, back stories, and appreciation of the amazing collection. Special thank you to Guido! He is very thorough and clearly loves talking about art, Italy, and history with his guests.Written 24 January 2024
- 184mattiar0 contributionsPerfect day in Tuscany!Perfect day! Our driver was always on time and very gently and relaxing. The guide was super informative and kept our attention at the best! Time into the city was just perfect and or wine tasting was just amazing! Perfect day!Written 22 January 2024
- B49ISjenniferg0 contributionsA+ experienceGianna provided an excellent tour. Because our small group tour turned out to be a private tour, we were able to enter the museum a bit early. A couple of hours with Gianna felt like a 3 credit class in art history. Her knowledge of art history is deep, and she was able to help novices like us to understand the art we viewed on an even deeper level. Thanks, Gianna!Written 6 January 2024
- iselj20220 contributionsGreat experienceOur guide was so informative and so friendly, a great experience! We loved all the information she was able to provide us with and allowed us plenty of time to take photos and enjoy the art.Written 12 November 2023
- nicolah5570 contributionsAbsolutely amazing! My husband and I went on the tour 1st November. Our guide who I think may have been called Jan (?) was superb. She was so knowledgeable and her enthusiasm was a delight! There were only 4 of us on the tour so it felt very personal. She showed us things we never would have seen and understood if we had been on our own. The way she moved through the different styles of art through to the Renaissance period was excellent. The history that we learnt was so interesting and gives a great grounding for other sites and places we visited. If you are thinking of doing this tour, do it! It was the best guided tour I have ever had, amazing!! Thank youWritten 5 November 2023
- robiny1390 contributionsGreat guide and well managed museumExcellent guide and well managed museum. Good flow throughout. Guide gave very good stories and call outs. Covered a lot of information in short amount of time. After tour we went back to museum to look closer at some of the sculptures and paintings. We did visit during low season so crowds were smaller than venue manages during high season.Written 4 November 2023
- L6847MTkarenb0 contributionsGreat wine tasting relaxing dayLovely day, lots of driving in a mini van - started with a quiet 1 1/2 drive to winery, which was full of fog - when we hit to winery it was a cool tour with a lovely tasting and generous food set up, then we had lunch about 30 min away at a beautiful spot that was closing for season in the next few days - the views were stunning & lunch was very good, then off to next winery which was lovely & a tasting which was nice but nothing special. We ended with a trip to a fortress town where we stumbled upon their annual archery festival & then back in van for 1 1/2 hour drive home . Was lovely relaxing tasty day & better to be in a van (we were a group of 4 - could have sat 8 - so we were very comfortable) than a bus Recommend trip but know there is a driver only, whom is not a guideWritten 29 October 2023
- TJK8080 contributionsA fun day in Wine CountryWe took this day-trip tour from our 'home villa' in Florence and we would do it again. Getting out of the busy city and into the countryside was exactly what we needed after days of museums & churches. Not a ton of walking on this tour-again exactly what our sore feet needed. The drive on the highways was very nice in a modern small van that had wifi (!). The wineries we stopped at were great. The lunch stop in the quaint town of Pienza was fun to stroll around in.Written 28 October 2023
- cheaptravel_100 contributionsSo glad I went into this beautiful museum--love statues!I went here alone and went fast, but loved it. I love statues and this place has great ones! It is in a beautiful courtyard and building. I could have spent more time if someone wasn't waiting for me. Very worth the money.Written 12 October 2023
- msl07070 contributionsLong awaited trip …….We chose the early morning tour and were warmly welcomed by our guide Elisabetta who guided us around the main renaissance art works . Elisabetta generously shared her knowledge of the art and set it in the context of history explaining the stories behind the paintings and sculptures. Elisabetta’s explanations were detailed and she also brought the paintings to life as she described the artists and their relationships with their patrons and muses humorously and with passion. Thanks you so much Elisabetta - we loved this tour and learned so much ! 🏴 🇮🇹Written 12 October 2023
- Tour8298130 contributionsPaid for skip the line but had to wait 45 minutes after finally finding the guide.I went to the place I was told to go. Could not find anyone with a sign. Asked several other guides and finally found another couple also looking. Called the number on the email. No answer. The call was returned but I did not speak Italian. Fortunately another guide was there and called the number and we were told to wait. We were to be there at 11:30 and it was now 11:50. Finally a guide showed with the sign and another couple. Got in the skip the line line but it was no such thing. Didn’t enter until 12;30. A total frustrating experience and not what we paid for.Written 11 October 2023

- 384linderd0 contributionsThe statue of David is a must see!Our guide was very good and easy to understand, although we still had to wait almost 30 minutes in line. The tour was supposed to be one hour and 15 minutes and like I said 30 minutes was spent in line outside waiting to get in even though we had skip the line tickets. Don't spend $45 for the skip the line tickets. Buy a cheaper ticket and go on your own. And there were almost 15 people in the group not 9 like advertised.Written 3 October 2023
- SinjinBC0 contributionsHighly RecommendedMust see when in Florence. Definitely a better experience with a tour guide and ours was able to give us a lot of information you’re just not going to get seeing it on your own or using an audio guide. Small groups make all the difference as you can easily interact with guide.Written 1 October 2023

This tour was well worth the price. Our guide was Christiano or Chris. We got in quickly and our guide took us to the most prominent pieces of artwork. The tour lasted about 2 hours, and our guide did a wonderful job of explaining the artwork and why the Medici family was important. I highly recommend this tour if you want to get in quickly and you want a more personal explanation of the artwork. When we were done, we went back to our favorite pieces and explored more of the gallery.

We've done several guided tours this trip and the tour of the Uffizi with Angelo was far and away the best. The gallery is so large and so packed with people and works of art (in addition to the architecture of the building itself) that is is hard to make sense of it all. Angelo did an excellent job creating a narrative thread connecting themes and works over art over time. He's a lively storyteller with just enough bite to keep my 22 and 25 year old sons engaged in our tour. We went unguided to the Accademia the next day and that visit was enhanced by all that we'd learned from Angelo the day before.

Highly recommend Keys of Italy! Our tour guide (Sara) was very knowledgeable and did a great job providing an overview of classical and renaissance art with enough detail to be engaging, without being overwhelming. She answered all our questions and was very attentive to the needs of the group. We were in good hands with Sara! She also did the Academia Gallery tour with us, and it was superb.

My wife and I spent five days visiting many of the great attractions in Florence. Our visit to the Uffizi Gallery as part of the small group/skip the line tour tour was outstanding. The treasures it holds are truly magnificent but what made it more special was our guide, Ricardo Lisa. We prefer to be part of a small group and the additional fee was well worth it. We were lucky enough to the only ones in the “group”. Our guide, Ricardo, was incredibly knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. His passion and love for what he was doing and sharing with you was very evident. Any question we asked of him resulted in an eloquent and insightful response. In many cases he shared pictures to further emphasize his explanation. Be sure to set aside at least 3 to 4 hours to truly enjoy all the gallery has to offer. Even with the skip the line access it is far better to visit the gallery early in the day. The lines we witnessed on our departure wrapped around the plaza.

Truly enjoyed our tour with Giacomo. He provided interesting details on many of the paintings, was animated and appeared to enjoy his job. He was easy to understand and the small group tour was great as there was a much more personal attention.

Mariza was a fantastic guide for our Uffizi Gallery tour. She is an art historian who gave us an amazing tour. She not only talked about the “must see” works, but also the history of the building, and differences between artists and periods/styles. If you’ve never been to the Uffizi (we had not), I highly recommend going and hiring a guide from Keys of Italy to help navigate the museum. If you’re really lucky, Mariza will be your guide.

Annette blended art history with interesting stories of the time periods she was covering in the art. We were whisked from one notable piece to another. We could have never managed the Uffizi without someone as knowledgeable as Annette.

Our guide Fabrizio was really knowledgeable and took us through the gallery explaining the development of western art and its rich cultural roots. He showed us examples of different stages and had a wealth of anecdotes about different painters. With a small group of 8 everyone was included in the discussion.

Riccardo is an amazing guide. Attentive, courteous, knowledgeable and well spoken. He put history in context of the art and engaged everyone on the group, including our teenage daughter! The tour ranks high also because we did not have to wait in line like everyone else, Riccardo knew what floor the most significant art pieces were and led us right to them providing thorough explanation each time. After we completed the guided tour we had time to explore the museum on our own.
I highly recommend this tour.

If you want guided tour to Uffizi make sure you ask for Ricardo. He is knowledgeable and spent most of his time explaining about all paintings. This is my 5th time visiting Uffizi with guided tour and 1st time with Ricardo and found many fascinating facts that I didn’t know! You must ask for him when you book this tour.

WE have always booked our tours of the gallery with an English speaking guide as our second language Portuguese almost always results in ending up in a Spanish speaking group, which is not the same and can be quite troublsome. Better bad English than no Portuguese. In any event just get back to the booking people and make sure they know your preference Italian French Spanish and English are all quite easy to find. Just ask before you go so that you don't end up as the only English person in a predominately foreign to you language.
