Wine Tasting at a Medieval Castle in Chianti
From US$100.00
Take a break from the bustling streets of Florence and head out into the countryside of Tuscany on a half-day wine tasting tour from Florence. You’ll travel to Chianti and visit a vineyard housed in a 12th-century castle. This tour is perfect for those with little or no wine tasting experience; you’ll learn about proper tasting technique, sample an array of wines, and enjoy a delicious Tuscan lunch.
What to Expect
You’ll meet your guide in central Florence and then take off for the Tuscan countryside in a comfortable, air-conditioned van for a day of wine tasting fun.
After enjoying a relaxing ride through the green hills of Tuscany, you’ll arrive at a family-owned castle for a tour of its vineyards. Your guide will teach you about the history of winemaking traditions in Tuscany and you'll learn about the different types of grapes used to make wine in this region of Italy and sample grapes straight off the vine.
From here you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the castle including a chance to view the vast collections in the family’s wine cellar. Finally, you’ll enjoy a sommelier-guided tasting of the wines made on-site at the castle plus a Tuscan-style lunch.
Your half-day wine tasting tour of Tuscany will conclude with a drop-off in central Florence.

Fabulous tour

We picked this tour at the last minute and it was worth it! Loved the tour of the castle and it's history. The wine tasting was awesome and so was the lunch after in the castle.

Hello, I believe they do the tour every day but you do need to book at least the day before, 2 days before would be better. Enjoy Italy, it’s wonderful.
