Great food selection, favourite being the street food (lampredotto) which we returned to many times during our trip. Our lovely tour guide Lucrezia also gave us loads of recommendations for other places to try and gave us great tips for avoiding tourist traps. It was also fun chatting to the other guests in our little group, great vibe overall. Well worth it particularly at the start of our trip as a nice intro to Florence.

Fantastico. We’ve done a food tour before but this one, in Firenze, was stand out. Sylvia was/is an excellent host, very knowledgeable and her love of her city and its food is apparent in her enthusiasm and delivery on the tour. We ate plenty and an assortment of local dishes. It’s also a great way to get your bearings on the city to walk around after. Sylvia recommended a few restaurants (non tourist traps) and we visited one, La Chicca: Simply excellent.

Although we had been in the city for a couple of day, Paolo took us to parts we had not yet visited, and introduced us to local artisans, who gave us delicious foods to try out. We really enjoyed the tour, and have already returned to a couple of the places we visited with Paolo.

Marilisa was an incredible host! Knew so much about Florence and the history of the town- but most importantly she was FUN. So many times on tours the hosts get very serious and it doesn't make the tours enjoyable. The food was also incredible. We would definitely recommend this tour, and Marilisa.

Secret Food Tour in Florence was a terrific way to kick off our week there. Lots of delicious food, inside information and off the beaten track ideas. Marilisa was wonderful - even went out of her way to help us when we met at the wrong Piazza for the start!

My husband and I try to do a food tour in every new country we visit as it’s such a great way to get to know the area, best restaurants and what local foods that should be sampled during your stay. The secret food tour of Florence was one of the best ones we have ever done. Our brilliant and knowledgeable tour guide Marilisa made our day so enjoyable. We were given so much interesting historical information about the Santa Croce area, the important sights we should visit, the other main areas of Florence and the best place to eat. All our questions were answered with wonderful detail and lovely historical stories that gave us wonderful impression of the fabric of Florence. Some of the food we tried included local cheeses and cold cuts, Chianti, local fruit from the food market (which was a fascinating place that we are planning on going back to), tortellini with a delicious ragu sauce, Lampreddotto, Coccoli (cuddles), incredible fresh Gelato in flavours I’ve never seen before, local espresso and Italian breakfast pasties. Impossible to pick a favourite but the secret stop (not included here because it’s a secret!) was pretty special and now I look out for it at restaurants. Marilisa was such a friendly and passionate host and I hope if you book, which you should, that she is your guide.

Paolo provided an incredible tour. While we got to walk around the city and try local foods, Paolo also provided rich history and tiny facts that would have been overlooked otherwise. I could not recommend a better experience in the city of Florence

Our Secret Food Tour in Florence was absolutely amazing. We were so lucky to have the lovely Gerardo take us on the tour. From the very start, Gerardo took care to take a route to our first destination via streets where there was shade as it was roasting hot. This attention to detail as well as all the amazing insights and knowledge of Florence made it an extremely interesting and rich tour. The history behind the foods and the wines that we tried was equally so. My husband and I had been recommended by a friend to take the tour.
