We had the pleasure of participating in free tours of Florence with Manuel, and we can not help but warmly recommend it. His preparation and passion for the city are evident right away. He managed to make every corner of the city a fascinating tale, mixing history, art and curiosity with an involvement that made the tour really special. His ability to answer questions and adapt to the rhythms of the group made the experience even more enjoyable. If you want to discover Florence in an authentic and interesting way, Manuel is undoubtedly the guide for you!

Our guide Alberto was absolutely fabulous! The tour was a perfect length and packed full of information.
Because of the tips and suggestions that the guide gave me, the rest of my day in Florence was spent savoring the perfect samples of the city.
His English was excellent, his knowledge of Florence and history was extensive, and he encouraged participation and questions.
I booked the store for $3.21 and I tipped him 20 euros even though he suggested 10 at the end of the tour. I would say it was well worth it.
Grazie!

I recently joined the Medici family tour with AllAroundFlorence, and it was truly one of the highlights of my trip to Italy! The tour was the perfect mix of history, art, and fascinating stories. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, and you could tell they loved sharing the secrets of Florence’s powerful Medici dynasty with us.
We explored beautiful sites like the Palazzo Vecchio and the Medici Chapels, and every stop came with rich details about the family’s influence on Renaissance art, culture, and politics. I particularly loved hearing about the intrigue and rivalries within the Medici family—our guide made it all come to life, almost like a historical drama.
The small group size also allowed for a more personal experience and plenty of time to ask questions. By the end, I felt like I’d really been transported back to Renaissance Florence. I’d highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Florence and wanting to understand its unique history from a truly engaging perspective. Thank you, AllAroundFlorence, for an unforgettable experience!"

Total bait and switch….try to lure you in with almost free tour and then spend final 30 minutes of tour describing how much money you should pay and to please write review but only if it’s a positive review. Hardly saw anything and guide just wanted to hear himself tell stories. Do not waste your time!

We're sorry you were not satisfied with our tour. This tour is based on donations at the end, which each customer can choose to give voluntarily. For this reason, the guide surely explained how the tour works at the end (certainly 3 minutes, not 30 minutes, which is surely an unreasonable amount of time). We're not sure if this is why you left a one-star review. However, as you can see from other reviews, yours is one among around 5,000, and our tour consistently receives 5 stars from our participants. Therefore, we believe this review does not reflect the quality of our tour and may be misleading for other participants.

I have taken many walking tours throughout different cities in Europe, and this is the best one I have ever taken. Signing up was easy, and they sent a confirmation message over WhatsApp with a location pin to find the meetup point which was very helpful. Once on the tour, my guide, Giacomo, did an outstanding job balancing history with modern stories as he covered art, architecture, food, the Medici’s and more. I felt that I got such an in-depth experience learning about Florence thanks to this tour and I would recommend it to any English-speakers, whether it is is their 1st or 10th time in the city.

Camilla is an absolute gem and is so knowledgeable. She took us to hidden gems around Florence. The way she tells the history of each place and it’s importance is so heartfelt and interesting it feels like you are reading a beautifully written novel about Florence. We learned so much on her tour. She is the best tour we had in all of Italy and def a highlight. We wish she had a daily tour because we would have loved to learn more from her. By the end you feel like you have a best friend in Florence by the end of the two hour tour. We are still talking about all the insight and knowledge we gained from Camilla’s tour. Book this tour- she should be charging at least $80 euros per person that is how amazing this tour is. At the end we were in a crypt, in the absolute dark and Camilla (who is a singer as well) sang Ave maria with the beautiful acoustics of the crypt- we had goosebumps and tears by the end. All senses are incorporated in this beautiful tour. Book this tour and thank me later.

Our walking tour of Florence with Manuel was an absolute highlight of our trip.
He brought the city to life with fascinating stories, expertly weaving together Florence's evolution from its Roman origins through the Renaissance and beyond.
We were captivated by the tales of the famous figures who once walked these very streets, and Manuel painted a vivid picture of where they lived and worked. The tour was engaging, informative, and a truly delightful way to experience the rich history and culture of Florence.
We highly recommend this tour with Manuel to anyone looking for a deeper understanding of this beautiful city.

Visiting Florence with Manuel was like immersing yourself in a daydream. This tour was perfectly organized and allowed us to discover every corner of the city, making every moment unique and memorable.
Florence is a city that enchants, but exploring it with an expert guide and such a well-thought-out itinerary has made it even more special. If you have the opportunity to visit, do not hesitate: it is an experience that you will carry in your heart forever.

Such a great tour around central Florence. Samona was great - full of great historical knowledge, fun tidbits, legends, and humor! We got to see probably 6-7 squares and sections of the main city part of Florence and saw the beautiful buildings and churches and learned about the family and artists that shaped the city. I recommend doing this in the beginning of your trip like we did, she gives some good recommendations of other places to visit and some tourist tips

Hola! You don't need any tickets, it's a walking tour so you're only outside. No paid visits is included. It's a free walking tour so normally no need to pay anything to book it, only at the end in form of tip to the guide.

Do we need to purchase admission ahead of time for all the sites, or do we purchase while on the tour?
Written 16 July 2022
This tour doesn't go inside anything - so if you want to go inside something you need to purchase tickets and go before / after the tour. The tour itself is along the streets and shows you where to go if you want to
