What a fantastic way to spend 3 hours! Good value too, considering the amount of kit and guidance that you get. Pietro and Paola are a really fab team - friendly and welcoming but organised and efficient too. Once we were kitted out, Pietro led the actual canyoning and was brilliant - just the right combination of fun, reassuring but also encouraging everyone to have a go at higher jumps too, if they felt able. I was pretty anxious about doing it (58 yrs old, not massively confident swimmer or great with heights!) but really loved it in the end and would definitely encourage anyone to do it (as long as your moderately fit and agile) as it’s a fab way to see this beautiful gorge.

So glad we booked this experience with Firenze Rafting. Zeno was a fantastic guide - really entertaining and very knowledgeable. The pack rafts were really stable and easy to navigate. Initially suspicious teenagers surprised themselves by thoroughly enjoying the tour. Stopping for refreshments under the Ponte Vecchio was really special. A word of warning - don't look up at the bridge details when your sunglasses are perched on your head - otherwise they will become a permanent part of the Arno ;). Post kayak, Zeno recommended a walk up Piazzale Michelangelo which is close to the meeting point for Firenze Rafting - so glad we listened to his advice - a wonderful view not to be missed, especially at sunset. However long your visit to Florence make time for this wonderful excursion down the Arno!

A great activity! We went out at sunset and had some beautiful views of Florence from the river. The guide, Jarno, was excellent. He shared interest facts about Florence, the bridges and the architecture around. He also kept the mood light and fun! Highly recommend.

We had an amazing afternoon with Pietro scrambling, jumping and swimming though the beautiful waters of the gorge. Thoroughly recommend this trip, you experience the canyon in a unique way and even drank water from the natural springs along the way. Scary enough to keep teenagers entertained and fun for all!

The taxi company let us down so we struggled to get to the start point for the kayaking. We called the number we had and it was answered by Xeno promptly. Explained the situation and he said to let him know when we got a taxi with estimated arrival. We arrived just 5 minutes late but Xeno was still setting up the kayaks anyway. There was just 4 of us in total so after safety talk and explanation of how to paddle etc we set off down the river towards the bridges. There was a small rapid section which everyone went down with ease then onto Ponte Vecchio. All through the trip we were advised on the history surrounding the river as well nearby. There wasn’t a question that couldn’t be answered by Xeno. On the whole it was great experience, away from all the crowds. We even had advice on where and what to do afterwards - which we undertook even though we were a little damp - more to do with the fact that we sweated more then got splashed !! Thoroughly recommend the 2 hr kayak trip in the morning to anyone looking for something different to do in Florence away from the thronging crowds.

We had a fantastic time! Our guides Pietro and Jack were very entertaining and knowledgeable about the area. We never felt rushed and were able to enjoy the river at our own pace! I highly recommend booking a tour with these guys as my whole family really enjoyed the trip! Great adventure!

I took a few of my friends on this trip as it was 2 of their birthdays, 1 turned 25 and the other 27. Our guide, Pietro, was amazing… couldn’t have asked for a better one! So friendly, helpful and made the experience so much fun. There were a couple of interesting stops during the rafting experience like jumping off a 5m rock jump! We all had such a laugh and I would highly recommend. Thank you Pietro and to the rest of the team who made it such a memorable experience!
