I loved the details offered through this purchase. Great stories that helped me feel immersed in the history. Things I may normally have glanced at and kept walking were suddenly more interesting and amazing.

I had a poor experience with appyguide. 1. it’s not an app but a web page (requiring login every time opening the page). 2. Videos require fast internet (which I didn’t have on my smartphone as a tourist). And no audio-only records. 3. Very few points of interest with very basic info. Let’s take Pisa as an example - only 3. Bottom line - I wasn’t able to enjoy the guide. It’s definitely far from the commercial version to be sold for current market price. I regret spending money on it. Hopefully in the future it becomes a useful app. But at the moment it’s far from it.

AMAZING APP! This APP is a perfect find! It has SMART AND ENGAGING STORIES ABOUT ART AND HISTORY. It made me see Florence in a different light and fall in love with it even more! The app also has wonderful restaurant and bar recommendations! I went to multiple restaurants recommended by the app, including Fishing lab, Obika mozarella bar, and Locale bar, and could not have been happier. Delicious food and amazing cocktails. The app is very user-friendly. You can download the content and use it without access to wi fi. I can't wait to go to Florence and use it again!

The short stories on this tour app transport you back in time by offering context to all the beauty and art that surrounds Florence. Walking around with this app and uncovering the history of this fenomenal city improved my experience 100%.

We have visited Florence on many occasions. Group tours are not what we like and usually the audio guides in the museums have very basic content. Friends had recommended this new app and we enjoyed exploring Florence with Appy Guide. We downloaded the app on our phones and had short audio stories available to listen while we visited the city. Some really famous art historians contributed and the content is of great quality. For now they only have Florence as a city guide, but if they expand to other cities I would definitely use them again.

I am not someone who writes any reviews. Period. However, after the founder of this startup reached out thanking us for choosing their audio guide and asking if we could leave a review, I couldn't say no. What can I say, we drove all across Europe from Finland to Italy, and Florence was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. What a beautiful city! We loved every bit of it and Appi Guides was definitely helpful to better understand the city. I had a bit of a problem with the registration (it was a little too long and at times a little too complicated in my view), but once done we didn't regret downloading this application. The tours are really really interesting. Plus, what we enjoyed particularly with my wife is that you can pick and choose what to listen to. So we walked around, listened to some tours, went for lunch, then listened to some more, then went for a glass of wine and listened more. It was really relaxing. Didn't feel the pressure of having to follow anyone. Just doing it at our own pace. Definitely, worth your time! I hope they add Finnish and other locations too. As for Florence, we can't wait to go back there! Would recommend it in a heartbeat!

I was rather skeptical when our hotel recommended that we try an app to tour the city. But because it was free and because of Covid we thought that perhaps it’s not such a bad idea. And what a pleasant surprise when we downloaded it and realized that this audio guide is created by our favorite BBC historian Andrew Graham-Dixon! We watched so many of his art history shows back home and now he was doing a tour of Florence for us. Just wonderful!
