About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Brock H0 contributionsGreat for small group, couples! The 4 of us really enjoyed the hour or so at the Cantina and the aperitif and white and red wine tasting! The tour was very interesting, but a fair amount of stairs.Written 11 October 2024
- danieller5450 contributionsFun and delicious! This was easily our favorite meal of the trip. We loved the truffle hunt--it was so fun and joyful--but the real treat was the lunch and wine that followed. I have a gluten and dairy allergy and they planned the meal so thoughtfully around me. It was spectacular. The food was fresh, unique and delicious--loaded with fresh truffles. And the view was stunning. The wine is special. And the family was so very kind. I cannot say enough good things about this experience. It is casual and informative and delicious. Highly recommend!Written 4 June 2024

- 480sarahhh0 contributionsBOOK THIS TOUR!!For first time visitors to Perugia I HIGHLY recommend this tour.We were so lucky to have the lovely Marika to show us around below and above this beautiful city. She was highly knowledgeable but also FUN..There is a lot of historical information to take on board when trying to understand how Perugia began but she showed us everything with such patience and without any rush or worry about time constraint. She gave us some top class tips for restaurants which became the highlights of our wonderful short stay in the area. She thought it was very special that we were from Cumbria (UK) visiting Umbria (Italy) and drew so many interesting Roman connections between the two distant regions..so much we have since researched and all fact!!Thanks so much Marika!!Written 17 April 2024
- Destination6278660 contributionsFantastic! Don’t miss this experience.Fabulous experience! Beautiful dogs and ladies led our tour. The country side was was lovely. The lunch was very delicious and included the truffles the dogs located and wine produced at the farm. I especially enjoyed the eggplant parm prepared by Mama. Met a sweet couple from Calgary on their honeymoon. Very nice visiting with them. Highlight of our trip!Written 7 October 2023
- Paradise6064800 contributionsA great day!Laura and her family made this day wonderful. Her dog Dado is so smart and found truffles for the delicious lunch and wine we enjoyed after the hunt. The view at lunch was beautiful and made for a fun, informative and delicious time.Written 19 September 2023
- TomTraveler20200 contributionsDon’t miss this!An excellent guide; informative and helpful. One of our best experiences in Italy so far. As we are “older”, we appreciated how he managed the pace. Michaela was a delight in every way.Written 9 May 2023
- nn550 contributionsLovely small winery with a family feelWe were driving along and intrigued by the “Mozart wine tour” experience. We walked in on an impromptu visit with a large group of 12 people (including kids) and were warmly welcomed with a great deal of patience and flexibility. The explanations of the wine and the technique of using music to improve harvest and grape quality were great. We would definitely go back.Written 10 August 2022

- Juliemaior0 contributionsFantastic experience at Tili ViniWe booked a tour of the Tili winery on our last day of our stay in Assisi. We were transported to the winery from our hotel and also later returned. The owner took us on a very informative tour explaining the process of the winemaking and the fact the entire process is all organic with no chemical additives. Every season they go through a 2 step process. First for the DOC and then for the organic. They also make olive oil. She had some in a vat and when she opened the cover it was the most amazing aroma of pure olive oil. We tasted all the wines offered White, Rosato, Pino Noir blend, and two additional red wines. We were served bruschetta, cheeses, bread and olive oil salad and biscotti at the end. The whole experience was so enjoyable and would highly recommend this to anyone who is in the Assisi vicinity and loves wine or would like to learn a little more about wine.Written 31 October 2021
- maj1270 contributionsAssisi and Perugia group tourAntonella clearly loves history and loves sharing it with people. Her excitement about the art and architecture was infectious. We highly recommend her for history buffs!!! We had a fantastic time.Written 27 September 2021
- 81gregz0 contributionsGreat!!!The tour was great, we highly recommend it. Michele took our 2 families to main Perugia attractions, told us very interesting stories - despite hot weather the pace was good and our kids were interested and engaged. In my mind 2 hours is optimal to learn enough about the fascinating story of Perugia. Grazie Michele - you are a great guide!!! Definately worth the money :-)Written 14 August 2021
- 931danak0 contributionsUnable to find tourMy husband and I waited at the directed spot from 11:45-12:30 (for the 12:15 tour) and never found the group tour. We waited outside and inside, trying to find the tour guide. We went inside the tour office to check if the ladies working at the tourist desk knew where our tour guide might be, but they told us to just take the 12:30 general tour (which was not what we paid for). I am disappointed that this was the outcome, since we paid so much for this tour and didn't get to experience it.Written 31 December 2019
- 515shilah0 contributionsInteresting history, excellent food!Touring the caves was a interesting bit of history. But the highlight was definitely the food. The restaurant was a lovely family owned restaurant, and it had a comfortable atmosphere. Orvieto is a lovely town, don't miss this one, worth the time.Written 9 October 2019
- Hcelliott3270 contributionsMy favorite day in ItalyThis was just a perfect tour...Allessandra was wonderful, the sisters who own the farm couldn't have been more gracious...The truffle hunt was fun, but the food and conversation that followed were priceless!! I cannot emphasize enough what a wonderful experience this was. David (who handles the booking) was very easy to communicate with via email and we had no issues whatsoever.Written 7 October 2019

We traveled from Assisi to Perugia via the monorail. I would highly recommend this form of travel between the 2 areas. Perugia was interesting. We only spent a couple of hours there. Long enough to go into church and visit the museum Pozzo Etruscan that housed the 3rd century BC well. Very interesting if you are interested in hydraulic engineering.
There was also an antique/flea market with lots of curious items on sale. Just a shame the luggage allowance on flight home was not enough. Perugia is worth a visit.
