      Fantastic Private Transfer
We booked a private return transfer for our group of 9 from Geneva Airport to Avoriaz and this is our 2nd time booking with GVA Transfers. We had the pleasure of having Paulo from Portugal as our driver on the return journey. He was at the meeting point when we arrived and he is such a pleasant person. Before we set off he offered us sweets, introduced himself to our group, reminded us to wear seatbelts and provided estimate journey times. Paolo is very accommodating, professional and his driving is so smooth and he was very careful considering the many hairpin turns. We felt very safe, welcomed and had a very pleasant journey. Thank you GVA Transfers and most of all Paolo! He is a gem!

      A trip not to miss
Our trip to Chamonix Mont Blanc was fabulous! Our private driver, Aristotle, was absolutely the best. He spoke great English, was very attentive and informative. We had a bit of mountain sickness, due to the high altitude. Because we had extra time, due to not staying up on the mountain long, he took us to a beautiful waterfall. We paid for the all inclusive trip and it was well worth it. Having the tickets to the cable car lift and train and the wonderful lunch at theRose des Ponts was well worth the cost. The private drive was very comfortable. We are so happy that we didn't miss the chance to see the beautiful area of Chamonix Mot Blanc. Even with the mountain sickness, we are so happy that we made the trip. It was nice to have a private driver, over taking a group tour. We were able to go at our own pace. Due to medical issues, we use canes. Not having to keep up with a group was an extra plus. Aristotle was very sweet and caring and took wonderful care of us. We would hire him again. He was just that wonderful!

Chamonix private day trip from Geneva
Booked a private day trip for 2 persons to Chamonix in early July. Konstantinos was our driver and guide and was wonderful. He expertly guided us to Aiguille du Midi Cable car + Montenvers Cog railway and the Ice Cave. He recommended a wonderful place for lunch and was extremely helpful throughout the day. He made the trip fun and stress free.

      Must One-day trip from Geneva
Chamonix in one word was breathtaking(of course at an altitude of 4600m, Oxygen can be a issue. LOL). A beautiful trip from Geneva into the French Alps is highly recommended. To make this even better, we had one of the kindest and sweetest person who drove us from Chamonix to Geneva. Mr Marzio offered us perfect and safe service. He had stayed in India for a while and had lot of stories to share when he found out that we were from India. Would say it was one comfortable drive back after delightful sites of the Alps.

      Disappointed
I am real disappointed!! I filled out in GVA website my full details also i shared my details agin by email before i arrived. I surprised when i arrived, there was a small Toyota prius waiting for me it didn't fit for our luggages even after couple of tries. the driver took a video of the situation and send it to his boss In the end the driver called the manger to arrange another car he failed as asked us to check with UBER!! I top of that the rejected to refund me 100%

Services not fully delivered as advertised
This review reflected the misrepresentation that the local agent made to its customers. In the description of its services, it offers private transportation and private guide. What we received was only the transportation part. The driver was kind and courteous enough to drive us along the Lake Geneva, but he was not familiar with the places or the cities on route nor any tourism info. As such, we felt we only got part what was advertised and what it was worth. The tour operator failed its job to provide full services as what it advertised.

      Big disappointment
At the suggestion of the hotel, hired a private tour from GVA Transfers for Geneva because of the heat and steps in bus. We were told it would be 2 hrs long with guide and would go by the Old Town, which it did not, along the lake, and to the UN area. Cost 8 times what 2 bus tickets would have cost and went the same route as the bus with the same recorded (and outdated) commentary! Driver nice but not a guide and not able to answer questions. So basically a waste of a lot of money. Should have taken the three separate tours with another company, including the mini-train in Old Town, and suffered through the heat. Or paid for a private taxi.

      Disappointing experience
Our guide Alex was very nice and tried to help us navigate this tour. Despite asking for an English guide, Alex and I had trouble communicating. This tour takes you to locations but you still have to buy tickets - which is clear. However when we went the crowds were so big that getting a ticket to the top of the mountain proved to be undoable. We wouldn't have been able to go up until 3pm and we couldn't come back down until after 6pm, putting us back in Geneva too late. If you can book your tickets for the attractions before the trip then maybe this would have worked better, but without knowing when we'd arrive at a given site I didn't know how to make the ticketing work. Disappointing because we were looking forward to being on the mountain.

      Great day in the mountains
Aristotle was our private guide Chamonix/Mount Blanc. He was so personable and friendly, we felt like we had known him for years. Paying for private tour with him definitely made a difference with getting tickets on the gondola and train rides. He gave us tips what to do and where to do it. He hung out with us for a while but also gave us our private time. He took us on a really nice and short hike to a waterfall that had a café where we had beer and wine. It was a hidden gem off the beaten path. We were not rushed at all. He was a great driver who knew a lot about the area. I highly recommend him.

      What a View!!!
What stunning views. To go that high on a mountain and look down. So impressive. Too many steps for glacier tour but still worthwhile to do the train. Aristotle was our tour guide - thrilled we did private - so costs more but so worth it - all at our pace and our wants - he was engaging and very personable and made the day even more special

      NIGHTMARE
BEWARE. OUTRAGEOUS COST and you get ZERO money back if you try to cancel more than 48 hours before the transfer time. CHF550 (£450) for a transfer from Geneva to Zermatt, and another CHF550 (£450) Zermatt to Geneva. That is £900! Actually they only drop you off at Tasch near Zermatt, and then you still need to spend another CHF40 to actually get to Zermatt. GVA will take your money even if they do not provide any transfer service at all. There is NO leeway if you cannot use the transfer. Even though I must have spoken to about 8 people and emailed many many times, they would not help. DO NOT USE THIS transfer company. It is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive, and they will NOT give you a refund or any money back, even if you give more than 48 hours notice that you cannot use the transfer.

I really loved the tour. The driver was really polite and I thought he’d the one giving us more info on the place, but not really. The place was totally worth and the lunch was so yummy! I was glad that I got the lunch package. One thing I wish it was done was giving us some time to roam around the city. We had a tight schedule and we had to leave at 4:30.

Aiguille du Midi cable car was a nice experience. The mountain was beautiful and it was fun to take photos in the glass cube. The 500 steps down to the glacier is tiring so we stopped to rest a few times on the way back up. This might be too much for some.

We had a day off in Geneva and decided to visit Chamonix. We didnt know much about it so we just book it like random stuff. We were really impressed! The town is beautiful, the mountain is amazing, espectacular views! The glaciar is ok, too much steps really. Above all, guide Zsolt is really nice and easy going; totally recommended!

I was the first to be picked up from my hotel near the airport by our driver Telis (apologies spelt incorrectly) in a very comfortable van/people carrier. Telis was very professional and friendly and I was even offered the front seat to catch the best views as we drove around Geneva to pick up the other passengers.
We were stopped at the border into France and had our passports and some bags checked but this didn't take long and we got to Chamonix before 11am.
As well as being given a detailed map and itinerary on the way Telis also walked us to the first attraction, the cable car up to the mountain, and very clearly explained what we needed to do throughout the day, and what time we needed to meet up again to return to Geneva. He even helped those who had not repurchased their attraction tickets and made everyone was ok before leaving us to enjoy the day at our own pace.
The cable car up to the mountain was thrilling and seeing Mont Blanc up close was breathtaking and overwhelming! I couldve spent all day up there, I was very lucky weather wise and had a very clear view and it was relatively warm. (Although this quickly changed I noticed later in the day) There are multiple viewing platforms at different heights, you go higher and higher and then there's a lift that takes you another 100feet! At the top is the step into the void, again I was lucky as there wasn't much of a queue. They take a lot of photos for you using your own camera.
Coming back down I hadn't paid the extra for lunch as I'd wanted something fairly quick and chose a nice little cafe that did fish and chips! Then walked around the town for a little while before making my way to the train for the mer de glace. The train views were again stunning and made up for the glacier itself which was a little disappointing (but then it was summer!), the ice caves itself was ok. Not totally convinced it was worth the climb down those 500 steps, and back up again! but I'm glad I did it. Very good exercise and some lovely views.
Back down to the station and Telis came back for us, again making sure everyone was ok and no one was missing. We were then dropped off at our individual hotels back in Geneva.
The whole day was fantastic, I really can't recommend this tour enough. If you are staying even just a couple of days in Geneva then make sure one of those days is doing this tour, it really is once in a lifetime!

Collection from and drop off at your hotel in a clean and comfortable mini bus. Our driver, Zsolt, was helpful and on hand throughout the trip if needed. The trip allows for plenty of time to enjoy, May is quieter for tourists so be careful with time if there are long queues.

Recommend as a day trip, the views of mont blanc are incredible.

Sometimes you do not get what you pay for. Let's start at the beginning, my husband and i booked the all inclusive tour which advertised to begin at 8:15am, and included 2 excursions (aguile du midi/mer de glace), free refreshments, lunch at a nice restaurant in Chamonix, guided audio tour...we got picked up at 8:45am and didn't get to Chamonix until 11:45am (when we were scheduled to be there at 10:30am). The guided audio tour did not work until the last 20 minutes of the car ride, and mind you, all this time, our driver was silent, didn't explain what was happening or what the plan was for the day. When dropping us off at various places we had to ask him for where to meet him or where the bathroom was because none of this was explained. Turns out that the mer de glace is closed for the season, and guess what? We were not informed until last minute. As for the refreshments included, all we got was a bottle of water on the way there and he didn't even offer us another one on the way back...the reason why im giving the 2 stars is because the views are magnificent, and the lunch included was delicious! (Be aware that drinks are not included at the restaurant so that will have to come out of your pocket). Overall we spent around $750 dollars on a 6 hour long tour (for a few nice pictures and a lovely lunch) plus a van ride...idk about you but I recommend you do your research on other options before booking with GVA tours.

A lot of people, but is amazing, so close to the mithy mountains.
45-60 minutes at the queue, but in a few minutes you at the top, it's not relaxing, but it's a experience for you life for ever
