Highlights
    What to Expect
Depart from a central Lucerne location in a comfortable minivan and receive a fascinating introduction the Bernese Oberland’s rich history from your knowledgeable guide. Admire scenic vistas of the Swiss countryside, and then refresh with a hot beverage (own expense) during a brief interlude in Interlaken.
Travel onward to Grindelwald to climb aboard a cogwheel train for a breath-taking journey to Europe’s highest point. Scour the scenery for the dramatic peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and feel your adrenaline levels surge as you approach the 11,332-foot (3,454-meter) summit of the Jungfraujoch.
Marvel at the splintering peaks of the Aletsch Glacier and then ride the elevator to the Sphinx Observatory for incredible panoramas of the frozen Alpine wonderland below. Immerse yourself in the enchanting beauty of the Ice Palace, following your guide through the heart of the glacier, and opt to enjoy a fulfilling meal at one of the many restaurants on the mountaintop (own expense).
Capture final photographs of the incredible views and then descend the mountain on the awaiting train. Re-board your coach in Lauterbrunnen and relax during the drive back to Lucerne.

From Interlaken we travelled here by bus and took the train to Jungfrau, the highest point in Europe. The village is beautiful and the train trip is memorable... we can see many water falls, the famous Swiss cow and snow and tall trees

The train ride up is fun. Once you get there it is super crowded. Many rude folks shoving you around to get in the front of the line. The weather changed on us so all we saw was white. Also, be prepared to not feel...More

I think older people would be okay. You sit on the train and you can eat in the restaurant on top.
