- Curious465366294970 contributionsPerfect way to visit Jungfraujoch! We visited Interlaken, Switzerland with a day trip to Jungfraujoch with the Best of Switzerland tours. This trip coincided with our twins Golden birthday and was a hassle free, no rush visit to Jungfraujoch. The tours conveniently started from Hohoweg 95 street and offered a comfortable bus ride to Grindelwald and had tickets and seat reservations ready on the Eiger Express and the cogwheel train and the return trains from Jungfraujoch to Lauterbrunnen. Our guides were very friendly and gave us just the right amount of information and described the sights while answering questions from our group. Overall a very pleasant experience, especially for those looking to travel without having to take care of every itty bitty detail!Written 16 March 2024

- ShannonB1500 contributionsSurpassed our expectations of how much we could see in 12 hoursOur guide, Fernando, was superb! The views were amazing, and he provided history and interesting facts along our journey. The bus stopped for photo opportunities. Each town was another breathtakingly beautiful stop. Bathroom breaks, stops for snacks, and shopping opportunities were plenty and not too long. The timeline was outlined and punctuality emphasized. Of course, Jungfraujoch with the Sphinx Observatory were the checks off my bucket list, but the journey to get there was amazing. I will add that this is a long day — 12 hours — and seemed to be a bit much for some small children in the group. Don’t miss this trip. We had only a couple days to see as much as possible, and this trip surpassed our expectations.Written 6 March 2024

- Coquija0 contributionsGood! Very good!Found this excursion through Tripadvisor and I highly recommend. Easy to get to the bus depot and our tour guide Elizabeth and driver. Manuel were both wonderful. She delivered The entire tour, and both English and Spanish. Gave really good tips, not only about the city, but about places to go visit and eat, and even where emergency services can be obtained if needed. We had chances to take breaks and plenty of pictures and even get a little snack. The cable car ride was wonderful and once you reach the top The restaurant has awesome views of The city of the Alps and enjoy a glass of wine or have wonderful strudel. It’s a bit of a hike to get back up the hill to the cable car, but not impossible. Do it do it do it! We were only in Zürich for five days, so it was a perfect way to see many beautiful sites!Written 23 February 2024

- rch67890 contributionsMinimal waiting times for transfers between cable cars and trainsThe guided tour to Jungfraujoch was an exceptional experience. We had English-speaking guides who provided us with insightful commentary throughout the trip. What impressed us the most was the effort made by "Best of Switzerland Tours" to accommodate Chinese tourists by arranging one of the Putonghua-speaking guides, ensuring everyone felt included and well-guided. One of the highlights of the guided tour was the seamless organisation. Reserved seats and minimal waiting times for transfers between cable cars and trains made the journey incredibly convenient. With the guidance of the tour, we didn't have to worry about finding the right trains and platforms, allowing us to enjoy a hassle-free visit. We took the Eiger Express cable car up, and the Cogwheel train down, which provided us with different perspectives of the Swiss Alps, showcasing the breathtaking scenery. The Jungfraujoch itself was truly spectacular. It offered both indoor and outdoor attractions, providing options for those who wanted to stay warm or venture outside. Our group gathered from Interlaken at 10:45 am and arrived at Jungfraujoch at approximately 1:15 pm. Despite some mid-day fog, it cleared up in the afternoon, and we were able to witness a clear sky at Jungfraujoch, adding to the awe-inspiring experience. The 2.5-hour timeframe at Jungfraujoch allowed us sufficient time to visit all the attractions without missing anything. We spent most of our time at the Jungfraujoch Sphinx Observatory and the Plateau. We were able to fully immerse ourselves in the wonders of Jungfraujoch, making unforgettable memories. A special thanks go to "Best of Switzerland Tours" and the four tour guides who accompanied us throughout the day. Their excellent service and attention to detail greatly enhanced our experience. We highly recommend this guided tour to anyone seeking to explore Jungfraujoch and indulge in the beauty of Switzerland.Written 19 February 2024
- annacC1686JB0 contributionsA wonderful day tripA wonderful day seeing two very different parts of Switzerland - the city of Lucerne and then Mount Titlis. The coach station was in a very central location, so easy for everyone to find. We drove in a comfortable coach to both places and the guides were well organised and very knowledgeable. Lots of different activities at the top of the mountain.Written 18 February 2024

We got lost trying to find the location however they were able to explain to us how to catch up with the tour. - Kimsingh19840 contributionsChristmas Day funStayed in Zurich with my family, nine of us from 23rd to 26th December 2023, we are from the Caribbean and for most of us had never seen snow and was expecting a white Christmas, but no luck as well as all shops.closed on 24th, 25th and 26th December, this was something mind blowing to us, where we come from its busy that time, so we are glad we booked this tour in advance for Christmas day, so we had something to do, was disappointed we didn't see snow on the drive only little patches, but we went up to Mt First, wow it was amazing, snow as far as the eye could see it was an amazing Christmas gift, and restaurants were opened as usual there were lots of people, we ate at a pizza place and it was amazing The tour guides were amazing and the bus was comfortable the only negative, we had to wait for a very long time in the cold for our bus to reach at the pick up point to head back to Zurich, all the other busses in our group arrived long before ours, and we had 3 kids in our group, but would definitely recommend this tour regardless, wish we had more time to explore other parts of SwitzerlandWritten 16 February 2024

This is an excursion you could easily do without a tour company with a little planning (there is a train that goes close and you can buy the lift tickets yourself) and save some money, but we opted to do the tour because we thought it would be easier. The mountain itself is great and definitely worth visiting. There isn’t really too much to say (it’s a mountain); there were great views on the way up, the top was a snowy mountain top (as advertised), the ice cave was cool and the sledding was surprisingly fun.
The tour company, on the other hand, didn’t add much value. The guides didn’t really have much to say and once you get to the mountain you’re on your own. My biggest issue though is they LEFT US IN LUCERNE even though we arrived 15 minutes early and checked in with a guide. When we arrived at the meeting spot, we checked in with a guide who informed us we were on a different bus and should wait. When a second bus arrived, we asked her if this was our bus and she seemed confused and annoyed we were talking to her, but indicated (as far as we could tell) that it wasn’t. Both buses left and when a third bus arrived the tour guide from that bus told us we were supposed to be on the previous bus. Fortunately, he was also going to the mountain and gave us a ride. On the way back, we tried to get on the bus we were originally supposed to be on (since the bus we took there was going to Zurich, not Lucerne), but were refused entry by the non-English speaking bus driver. Eventually we managed to get on the bus only to have our tour guide (the one who stranded us) try to make us get off again. Overall, the entire experience was entirely chaotic and this tour company seems to be disorganized and have no procedures in place for actually accounting for guests (so it wouldn’t shock me to learn they regularly strand people). Additionally, the “ice walk” at the top of the mountain was closed due to weather and we weren’t refunded any money even though it is an extra ticket (so presumably the tour company just kept the money as profit)

Dear G5783UZshawnd,
Thank you very much for joining our Mt Titlis tour from Lucerne and taking the time to share this review. We honestly appreciate your words, as it helps to detect and improve weak points.
During the Christmas season, there was a significantly higher volume of guests departing from Lucerne, and with multiple buses in operation, the check-in process may have become a bit challenging. But we expect our employees to remain calm even in these situations and, if necessary, to ask for a little patience in a friendly manner until the situation has been solved.
On the day of the tour, we suffered a technical error where your booking appeared in the passenger list of two buses, causing even more confusion for the guides and of course not a comfortable experience for you either. As soon as we noticed the error we contacted the guides to confirm which bus you needed to board and are glad that everything went well at the end. It's important to note that the allocation of guests to specific buses is carefully managed, and changing buses on the spot may not be feasible, as some buses may already be at full capacity, leading to additional confusion.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this oversight, and we are actively reviewing our procedures to prevent similar issues in the future.
We are happy to hear that you enjoyed this wonderful destination and hope that you give us a second chance on your next visit to Switzerland.
Best regards,
Ambika from Best of Switzerland Tours

This was a fabulous trip with a fantastic, knowledgeable guide that provided clear information and expectations for every step of the trip. The bus ride from Lucerne to Engelberg was just as advertised and Mt Titlis was an absolute blast for our whole family -- we were busy and engaged for every moment and everything that we did (and we did a lot) was included with the tickets purchased on our guided visit. This was a great highlight of our time in Switzerland.

We booked the half day tour to Mount Titlis to play in the snow but there was not a lot at the top. This was not the tour companies fault but a vey good reminder that global warming is 100% real and we all need to do our part to reverse what is happening to our planet.
Other than the lack of snow my wife and I had an amazing day and very lucky to have the best weather where we could see Switzerland, Germany and France from the top of the mountain.
Our guide Sophia was excellent and kept us informed of the schedule and the amazing things that Switzerland has to offer.
Overall a great half day out and highly recommend to others.

The tour guide was ok but it doesn’t really provide any value whatsoever other than telling us when we arrive. I approached the driver to confirm it that was my bus at the end of the tour and he just yelled “Switzerland” angrily at me (since I didn’t ask in German) I get it’s not his obligation to know English, but come on… you work for a tourism company trying won’t hurt, I bet none of the people there were locals. I took it from Lucerne and considering how fast the trip was I’m pretty sure it would have been better just figuring out how to get there on my own, plus you are just limiting how much time you will spend there by taking this tour. I do not recommend it to anyone.

Dear ansol496,
Thank you very much for joining our tour to Mt Titlis and taking the time to rate your experience.
We are very sorry to read that the services provided by your tour guide and driver did not live up to your expectations. Our guides are instructed to provide wealthy information not only about the history and culture of our country but also the itinerary and meeting points to ensure a smooth coordination with the guests during the tour. Nevertheless, there is always room for improvement and we will forward this feedback to your tour guide to help him/her enhance his/her services.
Our aim is to provide our guests high-quality service so that they can keep memorable experiences with us during their stay in Switzerland. This is the main task of the tour guide during the tour but the driver, although he is not a trained guide, would certainly have been able to answer your question. Even though this might have been due to a language barrier, we would like to apologize for our driver’s attitude and would like to emphasize that we communicated to him that we do not welcome such behavior on tour.
We hope that you still enjoyed the views from Mt Titlis and the activities available at the top and look forward to welcoming you on tour again on your next visit to Switzerland.
Best regards,

The weather was not good they day we traveled. We were OK with that and did not cancel. Our guide spent the first 20 minutes of our tour helping a couple that took the wrong bus and ended up on our tour. She should have taken care of us first as the paying customers. Second she did not give good direction as to where to go in order to see the sights. The fog was bad and a lot of people on our tour missed areas because they did not know it was there. The guide should have explained the area better. Do not recommend Tour of Switzerland for the Mt Titlis tour.

Dear Selena,
Thank you very much for joining our tour to Mount Titlis and for sharing your experience with us.
We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the service provided by your tour guide and will follow up on your feedback with her to help her improve her tours.
While we understand that it was not convenient that your tour guide had to spend 20 minutes helping other paying customers to find back to their group, we firmly believe that everyone has been lost in a foreign country at some point and was also very thankful to receive support.
On the bus, all guests receive a detailed map of the different activities that are available on the summit and our tour guides are always around to help guests with any pending questions. Nevertheless, we are sorry to hear that you missed some of the attractions and hope that you will get the chance to come back to Mount Titlis on a clear and sunny day!
Best regards,
Amanda from Best of Switzerland Tours

The guide Christina was cheerful and informative. The weather was poor on our trip, but we sampled the ice flyer and the ice cave, both of which were very disappointing. The ice bridge was exhilerating.
Too much time at the resort. Could have been done direct by train from Lucerne to Engelberg, so not great value

Thank you very much for joining our tour to Mt. Titlis. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the guidance and information provided by our guide Christina and were able to experience the IceFlyer chairlift, the Cliff Walk and the Ice Cave.
Many of our guests have never experienced the mountains or snow before and we learn from their feedback that Mt. Titlis is a memorable adventure in all weathers. The scheduled stay on top of Mt. Titlis is 2 hours but we understand that depending on the weather and your preferences, this can be too much or too little.
All our excursions take place as planned regardless of the weather. But according to our policy, all reservations can be modified or cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours prior to the indicated departure time, which offers our guests great flexibility to check the weather forecast and to make any necessary changes to their plans.
One can easily visit Mt. Titlis by train from Lucerne (return ticket CHF 134.80) but we believe we offer a good value for money by offering our fully guided tour for CHF 137.00.
We are sorry to hear that your experience was hindered by the weather and hope to welcome you back on our tours on your next trip to Switzerland, hopefully in better weather.
Kind regards

A great, efficient tour that covers a lot of ground. It's a big group, but they let everyone split up and do their own thing once you get to the mountain, which I really appreciated. Most of the attractions on Mount Titlis are included in your ticket, so there's a lot to do. Gondolas and cable cars to get around, Cliff Walk suspension bridge, ice caverns, and sledding. Fun times!

I was wondering based on your guided tour to Mount Titlus, is 2 hours enough time to do everything on top of the mountain (Cliff Walk, Rotair gondola, Ice Flyer chairlift, snow tubing, Glacier Cave) ? My husband and I want to do all of these things so will we have enough time ? Is it better and cheaper to skip the guided tour and do it ourselevs ?

I think its better to do yourself. It is very easy via the trains to get there. The tour setup has limited time and you might run out of it.

Interested in this excursion. Question as to "rental" of winter jacket. Are they cleaned between users? I am a bit of a germaphob...Anyone with previous experience would be appreciated.
Hi, I will be traveling shortly with my family to Switzerland and would like to take few half day Tours. I have the following questions:
1) Are children chargeable or are included without payment. What would be the age limit if they are chargeable.
2) Would the cost be different if we have Swiss rail pass.
