    Pilatus tour
This is seriously the best tour we have ever done. Our guide Hollee was so much fun to be around.it was totally worth it to do the private tour so we could have enough time to do the tobbogan: coolest thing ever!

Far an away, one of the best guided tours I've ever taken. The tour I took was managed by Viatour. I must disclose that I lucked out with the weather, almost full sun. The tour is some 5 hours long. You begin with a short bus ride to the base of Mt. Pilatus, then take 2 lifts to get to the summit. The views are spectacular. Also, there are two hotels at the summit, and plenty of places to eat. You return by the steepest cog-wheel train in the world, and then a boat awaits to return to Lucerne (about an hour ride). A special shout out to Viator and the guide Eveline, who was thorough and caring. I am a solo traveler and she was very kind. I asked her if I could arrange for a dragon-ride the next time I visit, she said she will do her best!

When we showed up at the starting point we discovered that we were the only two people on the tour. In spite of the operator's warning that a trip might be cancelled with an inadequate number of guests, we found that our guide, Jagna, was ready to go, This turned out to be a highlight of our 2 weeks in Switzerland, Germany, and Holland. The mountain and surrounding area are wonderful, and we were lucky to have an unusually warm day. Jagna was a charming, friendly, and knowledgable guide. In addition to expert guidance on the tour, she told us many interesting things about living and working in Switzerland from the point of view of someone from another European country.

Even without the good fortune of a private tour with Jagna, I recommend this highly.

Jen was a wonderful tour guide - informative and fun! The tour was everything we hoped and more. The pace for the day was perfect with plenty of time to ask questions and also explore the mountain.

This trip was one of our favorite things on a 15 day trip. Kelly with Traveli was professional, knowledgeable and interesting. The cogwheel train was amazing and there were spectacular views at the top.
