We joined day trip from Zurich with our fantastic nature loved guide Konrad who speaks perfectly English and Italian and at the same time guiding and driving from Zurich to Grindenwald. Despite bad weather forecast but leaded with advice that when it is nice weather is only nice weather, we experience heavy rain, snow and clear blue and sunny sky in few hours. We enjoyed our trip and certainly recommend.

Jungfrau top of Europe is a must place to visit where you will extreme weather to experience including snow all year around. We took cable car onto mountain train to get there. We spent the whole day as had lot to do, be prepared with warm clothes as was -8C in October, the view of the glacier was memorable. We stayed in Grindlewald and started our journey there, expensive but worth the experience.

If you going to the Jungfrau Region, this is not mandatory but, it is exciting and interesting. Watch the weather closely; not worth the trip if the weather is going to be bad. The views a spectacular; try to get the earliest time as possible; the entire trip (start to finish) will take ~4 hours and you could easily burn an entire day just doing this if you go in the afternoon. Even in the summer, it will be cold up there. If you're not able to do it, don't feel that bad--there are other great things to do that are much less expensive.

From Interlaken the round trip ticket was nearly 500 Swiss Francs for the 2 of us. Pretty expensive. The ride took 3 different trains and over 2 hours to get to the top. We had the reserved seat tickets which was nice as you got to board first.
Great views on the way up and at the top we had good weather. Views are amazing.
Take some time to go through the ice tunnels as they are interesting. We jumped off the train on the way down and walked part of the way via a trail that ran alongside the rail.
Dining at the top is limited (and very expensive). Also not a lot of places to just sit and enjoy the view.

The guide (Marcel) very good. The views very good as well.
The rest...a pice of s....
Overcrowded. Overcharged. Artificial. Ice Palace worthless. The restaurant overcharged. Besides, you are not allowed to picnic. A very very good landscaped spoiled beyond belief by massification and overload products. Who wants to buy a watch on the top of the mountain? Even here you have to put watches to sell?
Interlaken, hollow and superficial. Luxury and frivolity. New rich people all over the place. Fancy cars, jewelry...was this not supposed to be a natural place? Why would you lie?
How you can spoiled and waste such a beautiful place and turned into a Turistic hollow attraction?
What's this?...Las Vegas??
Don't buy it. Please. Don't. You will regret it.

Dear Natxo
Thank you very much for joining our tour and reviewing your experience on TripAdvisor. We recognize your negative rating and apologize that we haven’t been able to cover your expectations. Good news for us is, that you did like the service of your guide as this is where we have a direct influence and we spend quite an effort on selecting and training our staff to always friendly, helpful and professional guides. We understand your concerns about the place itself. You say the views were beautiful. Yes, it is a gorgeous place and many, many visitors like to see it. As in other regions of the world, it is a tourist hot spot, a place which everyone likes to see once in their lifetime. Therefore, especially in summer high season it is crowded. You also are right if you point out that it’s expensive but, in this point, I also like to highlight that costs of having such an infrastructure on the remote place on 3’500 m.a.s.l. are huge. Everything you encounter up there must be transported by train as there is nothing up there than snow, ice and rocks. All the staff working there, need a 1.5 hour ride up and down every day to get to their work as there is no possibility to overnight on top. I totally agree with you, that there is no need to sell watches, jewellery, chocolates etc. up there… but it seems for many tourists that they do like this and buy even on such a remote place souvenirs (otherwise they would not have these stores up there). Unfortunately, all this is out of our hands and we are just the tour company providing the service of transportation and guides to this beautiful spot. So as mentioned, we are happy to read you did enjoy the service where we have a direct influence on and hope to have you one day back on one of our tours! With best regards

The night before our trip the weather had been terrible but it began to brighten in the morning, so, we took the decision to go ahead and do this trip. And, we were not disappointed.
We had a picture perfect day. You need to allow a full day for this outing and be ready for a number of train changes. It's not particularly clear what is going on with the trains but they do go different ways and require changes. Just ask someone and they'll put you right. Tip we were given was to make sure we did it as a round trip - go up one way and come down the other which is easy to do - suggest you sit on the right side of the train going up and left coming down for the best views. Be prepared for queues and go with the flow.

Before we ascend to the top of Europe, we will get to enjoy a scenic train ride for about 25-30 mins. It is advisable to take things slowly upon reaching or even before reaching the top (Do not run, walk slow). A few of my day tour group member felt gizzy upon reaching the peak and one of them actually bought a small bottle of Oxygen to help her with her breathing. It was very windy on the day we visited Jungfraujoch and we get to experience the ambience of snowing on the Top of
Europe. It was so cold !

Amazing day trip with excellent guide and driver.
We departed on time near the main station with a nice touring car.
Our guide was Marcel.
The cogwheel train experience is unforgettable. A lot of snow in November as we made our way to the top which completed the scenery.
It's incredible how the Swiss can keep the trains and time tables running perfectly despite the snow and challenging weather.
Plenty of breaks for bathroom, souvenirs, cup of coffee and lunch at the top.
Highly recommend best of Zurich

Dear Sarah
We are very sorry to hear you feel that you haven’t been treated right and claim our staff of being rude. We do take feedback very seriously as we see it as a great chance to constantly improve our services. Our aim is always to provide high quality service and one of our core values are the very professional, experienced and passionate guides. Usually we get great feedback on them and their friendly and helpful attitude. Unfortunately, we don’t know due to your very short feedback what exactly happened and can not follow up with the guide as we don’t have information on when you travelled and with whom. You mention that you haven’t had someone available to report this incident, but we like to point out that our office is open from 7am to 10pm, 365 days a year and of course would had been able to attend your call or message via e-mail or any of our social media channels. I’m quite sure we would have found a solution to make the rest of your trip enjoyable. We hope you still have good memories on your visit of Jungfraujoch and the stunning scenery. With best regards

Hi! Is there an opportunity to get food somewhere along the way or should we plan on packing a lunch? Is there time to stop in cafe to grab something? Thanks!

there were places to eat when you get to Jungfraujoch the guide told us that eating and drinking on the coach was not allowed. We stopped in Interlaken on the way but was more of a comfort break

My daughter and I went in mid September. We had a beautiful day - it was in the 40’s (Fahrenheit) at the top. We wore ski leggings and lightweight ski coats. We wore lighting dayhikers on our feet. We also brought hats and gloves which we wore when we were sledding. That was all we needed.

Cog wheel train tickets are included in the price?
Hello, I’m wondering if it’s possible to leave a small travel bag inside of the coach while enjoying jungfraujoch. I’m hoping to enjoy this trip before my departure home late in the night, so I will have my luggage with me (it is small, and this is unless I can’t find somewhere else to store my stuff). Thanks.
what time the tour starts and how long? thx

If you mean the circuit at the top of the mountain then, sorry, we didn't take a guided tour - we just walked round on our own - allow at least an hour for that. The whole trip, out of Interlaken, takes about half a day. There are trains starting up the mountain every half hour or so, as I recall.
*Likely to sell out: Based on Viator’s booking data and information from the provider from the past 30 days, it seems likely this experience will sell out through Viator, a Tripadvisor company.
