We are a family of 6 with short stay in the Netherlands, youngest 10yr old. We booked a private tour for 2 hours and the experience was fantastic all the way through from selecting the right bikes, preparing us for the laws and the actual tour and stops. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, would highly recommend this tour - especially as everything else was closed due to lockdown.

I booked the city bike tour, and it was amazing although it was a rainy and windy day. I showed up and did not expect that I was the only one who booked the tour that day. They did not cancel the tour despite the fact that I was the only one, so a group tour turned into a private tour! (I know sometimes airlines cancel their flights when they don't have enough passengers to generate the revenue, but this is not the case with Mike's company!)
My guide is Matthias and he did a wonderful job showing me and introducing me the city and I have learned a lot from him. The weather was terrible for a bike tour, but we still managed to see a few spot and Matthias was thoughtful and we actually went to a cafe to avoid the heavy rain and strong wind for an hour. It was very lovely as we discussed various topics and got to know each other as friends!
I am really grateful that I decided to do the tour and have Matthias as my guide. Even though I was completely soaked after the tour, I look forward to doing it again when I visit Amsterdam next time. I highly recommend anyone who is interested in booking a bike tour in Amsterdam to choose Mike's company!

Mark, our guide, did a great job of combining the history of Amsterdam, life as it is now, and humor as we pedaled through Amsterdam. There was plenty of time for pictures when we stopped for one of Mark’s informative lectures. Seeing Amsterdam by bike really makes you feel like you are part of the city, not just viewing.

My husband and I bravely took the Amsterdam City bike tour and had a great time! We were nervous about biking around the city but our guide was so knowledgeable and resourceful that it was no problem. We saw parts of Amsterdam that we had never seen. Great history and fun way to get around. Really did a great job!!

Nice tour guide who did his best to keep the group going. However, the group was way too large (16 people) which made it easy to get separated with lots of stops for people to catch up. This made us go over by 45 minutes.

Biking in Amsterdam is not for the faint of heart, I recommend a walking tour for anyone who is apprehensive about biking in Amsterdam.

We had Noah as our guide, and she had her hands full with a relatively large group. She kept all of them (with a wide range of bicycling skills) safe and engaged when we stopped to give us great insights of the city.
I’d recommend this to anyone. Although there won’t be enough of Noah to go around, I’m sure the other guides are good too.

Mike was great- super knowledgeable and easy to follow. Never felt rushed. For all considering the bike tour, make sure you’re quick on your motor skills bc biking through Amsterdam requires a lot of coordination and constant scanning of the area. But it was great seeing the whole region in just 3 hours.

Mike's Bike Tours were brilliant from start to finish. Easy reservations online, answered emails quickly, were happy to see us in the shop when we arrived. Taylored the bikes and the tour to suit our needs and interests. Matthias, our guide, was fantastic, passionate about the country, the city and was happy to share his knowledge and teach us about cycling in Amsterdam. Bikes are kitted with raincoats in case of the odd shower. The time whizzed by. On our return we were welcomed by friendly staff. Amsterdam is really special and the tour was a great way to be outdoors and to experience it. Thank you Mike!

We were visiting Center Parcs at De Eemhof and decided to do a day visit to Amsterdam. We had been recommended Mikes Bike Tours and it didn’t disappoint, our guide was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. If you are short on time, 3 hours may seem like a long time to tie-up in a tour, but it’s well worth it. You cover some great aspects of the city, whilst taking some gentle exercise, what more would you want. Thumbs up from our two children too aged 20 and 17!

Sander was a fantastic guide and was a wealth of information about Amsterdam's history. We are glad that we took this tour early in our trip so that we could better navigate the city on our own and safely ride bikes everywhere. Sander also gave us some great recommendations for the remainder of our visit. We enjoyed our tour so much that we booked the Countryside (cheese and clog making) tour the next week, which was just as fun and interesting.
