I had an amazing day cycling around Amsterdam and its many parks - I rented a regular city bike which was easy to use and came with a lock. The French girl working there (sorry didn't get her name) was very helpful and gave some great tips on places to cycle in the area. I got a 10% discount staying at Stayokay Vondelpark, and when I showed up it was as easy as telling them what bike I wanted, and how long I wanted it for. I will definitely rent from them again :)

I rented a bike from A-Bike rental for an hour and the shop was great. It was nearing the close time and they promptly processed everything and set me up with a bike, making sure I knew where I was going, had a map, etc., so that I could maximize the one-hour time. I also asked the guy for a photo right before I left, since I didn't have anyone to take one of me, and the staff member came outside of the shop to take a photo of me on the bike. I highly recommend them - prompt, efficient and friendly!

Amazing service and great helpful staff. We didn’t book in advance but they were more than happy to help and got us sorted with our bikes. Was amazing riding the bikes around the city and through vondelpark. Must recommend in Amsterdam and hire bikes from here great location, we could have just done with longer 2 hours wasn’t enough we should have done the full day as the price was great.

Our overall experience was terribly bad. On arrival it turned out that something had gone wrong, too many E-bikes had been reserved. Fortunately it was resolved after a long wait. Because of the crowds, little has been explained. We rented the bikes to go to a festival. This ride is 40 km in total. The website states that the bikes have a range of 80km, so this should be easy. After a few minutes on medium speed, the power appeared to drop quickly, so that we cycled almost the entire way there with minimal support. We were not able to recharge at the festival. On arrival my chain lock turned out not to work. Luckily the other bike did have a working lock. When we wanted to go home, one E-bike didn’t turned on. We cycled part of the way back without support. Eventually we found out that there was another button somewhere else. This was not explained. When we reported this issue when we returned the bikes, the response was: "Most of our employees don't even know how it works." The front light of one of the bicycles did not work. The taillight on the other bike didn't work. We had to cycle for a large part on an unlit road, so this was also dangerous. We made it through, but we've had a lot of inconveniences and stress. We reported this all when we returned the bikes, but all they said was: “Oh that's annoying, was the festival fun?” In the meantime, we heard that the other customers had booked a biking tour at 11am, but there is no tour at all at that time. The first tour was at 2pm.
In other words, a very chaotic company with many problems. You cannot rely on what you have booked. In addition, poor quality bikes and a terrible service. We will never book here again and do not recommend this to anyone!

On a nice day, everyone wants to get out for a ride. This shop is bustling with bikes and people coming and going. The staff were very helpful in finding me a bike that would fit my petite frame. They also showed me how to lock the bike and remove the battery. I knew I wanted to get out of the city yet uncertain as to how far I would ride, I opted for the 6 hour package. It turned out to be perfect for riding 60km and stopping along the way.

Very nice and friendly staff. I took a double tandem for me and my 6 year old as well as a city bike and kids bike. We rode all over the city, it is a great way to experience Amsterdam by bike. We started in Vondelpark which was amazing and great practice before riding in the city. It is easy to find parking around the city. Great experience!

When I arrived without a reservation I was immediatly lectured on how it is the high season and all rentals must go through reservation and you would be lucky to find an E bike in a week. I proceeded outside and went on the website and reserved an E bike for pickup within 30 minutes. Paid the booking and waited. After a half an hour they looked surprised to see me and looked at me crazy. They gave me my reserved bike without embarressment which they should of had plenty. When I returned the bike there was new staff but what remained the same was anger and resentment towards all customers, SAD!

Hi James, we have limited availability for the e-bikes and they're quite popular at the moment. It is always recommended to make a reservation or keep an eye on the website to see if one becomes available again. It happens that an e-bike is returned earlier than expected or a reservation gets cancelled. Then we'd be happy to give that one to you :)

We had an excellent experience renting bikes with this company in Amsterdam. My daughter and I are not super confident riders, and were just wanting a simple option for a couple of hours that we could ride around the local park. Our very helpful guide Veronica fitted us out with bikes and made sure we were comfortable handling them before sending us out on our adventure. And this was all in English as sadly we don’t speak Dutch. We had an excellent experience and were even offered a complementary hot beverage on our return, very welcome on a cold day. Highly recommended.

We had a great experience renting a tandem bike from A-Bike Vondelpark. Rita and Lucile were brilliant setting up the bike, explaining how to get the most out of it. We rented for just one hour and that was a good amount of time for us. This location is great because it’s right near the park. You can rent a bike, take it around the corner, and enjoy riding around the beautiful park without having to deal with traffic and the pace of the rest of the city.

I didn't see any while in Amsterdam, but you can contact bike rental places to see if they have something.
There are a lot of bikes in Amsterdam and you need to be in control of your bike if you are going to ride in the city.
