One the best food tours I've been on, anywhere!
Aug 2021
Having just gone on this tour in August 2021, we can say we are impressed. It's a great food tour with a fun, personal guide.

The Hague is a great place to visit, and we loved getting an inside, local take on its food, in addition to learning about Dutch culture and history from the perspective of The Hague.

We've been on many food tours, on just about all continents, and this may be our favorite. This is because it was casual enough to feel like you are out with friends, yet still structured enough to feel like you are on an organized tour. You can tell they LOVE giving food tours.

The food is delicious! I liked that the tour shares the importance and stories behind each food you try. And of course, you also learn fun, memorable facts about The Hague.

The tour ended for us in an awesome, cozy pub with a delicious traditional Dutch food and an alcoholic beverage (mocktails and soft drinks are also available!). It winds down at a perfect time in the afternoon, giving you an ideal opportunity to stay and try more drinks or move on to other activities you may have planned.

Recommend. A great thing to do in The Hague!

Loved the tour and supporting local businesses!
I’ve lived in The Hague for over 6 years and still found this tour informative! We had a great guide in Sigrid who was informative and enthusiastic.

The tour takes you through parts of The Hague which are not very touristy and of course into the busier parts of the city. I thought that the spread of bites was nice and varied. I did not leave hungry! The stories were interesting as it’s not a regular tour with tons of useless facts. This is a light hearted tour with facts and stories that you’ll remember.

I highly recommend this tour to tourists and locals alike.

I have lived in The Hague for 4 years, but through the tour they showed me so much more! I have discovered new places to go and all kinds of little things to know about the city. It is a great tour, with plenty of food and drinks! And still great to do even if you live in the city! We had so much fun and it the tour guides Sigrid and Kerensa are the best! So enthusiastic and loving! Definitely a recommendation!

It was a very fun tour that I would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys food.

There are multiple stops as part of the tour with a wide variety of foods that are involved (personally I really didnt like one of the foods, but I tried it), but you also get to do a short walking tour of the city with a friendly guide who can tell you a bit about each of the places you visit.

Try this tour!

Great Intro Tour of the City of Den Haag and some of the foods of the Netherlands
Sep 2019
We had a great time on our food tour. The food samples were delicious and the guide was well informed about the city. We actually had some issues with luggage and our train into the city and were late for the tour. I sent a message via whatsap to the company they responded right away, put us in touch with the guide who was able to meet up with us even though we were 15 minutes late. This made a stressful day so much better to be able to enjoy the tour. The beer at the end was delicious and I don't even typically like beer. Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Den Haag

To celebrate my birthday, we went on the Bites and Stories Food Tour. What a wonderful time we had! We had only just moved to Den Haag and didn’t know much about the city or what bits of deliciousness it had to offer. First of all, part of what made it such a special experience was our wonderful guide Crienza (sp?). She was knowledgeable (grew up in Den Haag), adorable and charming. It was like hanging out with a good friend you hadn’t seen in a while. And I loved the places she took us - a local bakery where we sampled a yummy pastry filled with raisins and almond paste, then on to an amazing yogurt shop, a chocolate paradise, herring (of course!), Lebanese pizza, and lastly a delicious beer brewed by local monks! As much as I loved the food (we have already been back to all the places she took us), we also really enjoyed the stories she shared! I absolutely recommend this tour!
