Samuele is a person that has developed through his own life experience and knows a lot about mindset, spirituality and symbology. Next to that he is also easy-going and good company. Sam showed us ways to incorporate these practices from his native Sardinia as we walked through The Hague. My cousin, was already very knowledgeable about this and I was a novice, but we both had a lovely time. - KitsKitchen0 contributionsEye openersSam is an inspiring soul. He takes you on a walk and lets you look at details around you on a completely different level. He showed us that even in the most frequent places the success factors of the 9 Blue Zone lifespan can be recognized. If you consider these success factors and integrate them into your life, you can almost say that you practice constant mindfulness. Nice to do this in a group and also to hear from other people what they feel when the signals are mentioned. But also good to challenge yourself afterwards to practice this on your own. His walks fit well with the walks I do myself (edible wild plants walk) and now we give a walk together once a month. Thank you Sam for many beautiful eye openers!Written 29 March 2019

He shows you how important it is to be aware of your surroundings as a way to improve your sense of presence and quality of your daily life. The more I reflect on it I keep recognising different aspects of opened my eyes to. More than just a way to find out about The Hague, it is also valuable in finding out more about how to live a good life, in The Hague or anywhere. Thinking about the ways that the principles of blue zone living can be all around was very valuable. Looking back at the points on the postcard (which is now in the kitchen next to the notes on blue zone food) it’s really good to be able to relate and refer to some of the examples pointed out. As an urban planner the discussions we had on the walk also help me reflect on how cities and places can be interpreted in all kinds of different ways.
