Johnny was the best tour guide ever, and my husband and I have traveled a LOT. We spent a wonderful half day with him and I was incredibly sad when it ended. I was also sorry that we hadn’t met him on our first day of vacation. He is generous with his recommendations and advice even days after our tour. He was charming, funny, honest in his opinions and went above and beyond to give us a great experience.

We have been very fortunate to have Jonny as our transfers provider to and from the airport in Portugal a few times now. We have been coming to Portugal for many many years and have previously dealt with some good transfer drivers. However, Jonny is without doubt a cut above the rest. Incredibly professional. Respectful, funny. Happy. Knowledgeable. Helpfu, kind and a true gentleman. We will definitely be keeping his number to arrange transfers and tours with him every time we visit. His minibus is comfortable clean. Has some small things that makes a big difference, things like free WiFi and he has a little stool to help get in and out the minibus. Which really helps. Our day was exciting and informative. Beautiful scenery but Johnny went out of his way to make it fun. Van is very comfortable and he provided cold water for us.

A great tour guide possesses a unique blend of skills and qualities and I’ll try to highlight our experience with Johnny. We used for airport pick up organised for us by our villa host. Johnny made contact and was on time even though our flight landed 30 minutes early, he was very knowledgeable about the local area and gave us some great tips for our visit to albufeira. Would definitely recommend 👍🏼

We were holidaying with two other couples in Albufeira when we selected Johnny’s Tours to take us to / from a vineyard wine tasting. From the moment, he picked us up in his spotless and comfortable minibus, he was the consummate knowledgeable and amusing host. He took us to various beautiful Algarve locations en/route to/from the vineyard all the while providing an informative but not overbearing commentary. As a college-aged young adult, Johnny was able to give a tour that was fun, exciting and informative for both me and my mom! He’s great for all ages and his tours are super customizable. He’s so funny, nice, knowledgeable, and shows you the best hidden gems that you would not find otherwise! Definitely recommend going on his tour of the Western Algarve if you have the chance!

My 22 year old daughter and I have quite different interests and perspectives, but Johnny was able to craft an itinerary that we both thoroughly enjoyed! Such an amazing day. To begin with, Johnny proved to be the perfect tour guide in every sense—he is super personable, kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We were staying in Lagos and wanted to see other parts of the Western Algarve, so we left the itinerary completely up to Johnny. I am particular and usually play a big role in customizing our private tours—not this time. Johnny promised to show us the best of the Algarve, and he did not disappoint! We visited beaches and and villages along the coast that we never would have found on our own. Along the way, we had many fascinating conversations, from the devastating effects of the 1755 earthquake to bola de berlim pastries (we were able to try them at the airport, Johnny!) to the dying art of calçada Portuguesa (the design work & patterns in the cobblestone pavement across Portugal). He even shared many personal family stories about the effects of war and living under a dictatorship. After the tour, Johnny sent us a list of all of the stops we had made along with pictures he had taken throughout the day. Who does that! I could go on and on. HIGHLY recommend any tour you can take with Johnny. He is simply the best!

My wife and I took a full-day tour with Johnny of the Central and Western Algarve. It was fantastic! Johnny is very knowledgeable and passionate about Portuguese history and culture so you learn a great deal during his tour. He also takes you to many hidden gems to insure that you have a wonderful experience. Johnny is very caring and goes out of his way to insure that you have a safe, comfortable and pleasurable time. We enjoyed it so much that we signed up for another tour!

Johnny was such a great guide! Really attentive and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. We were in Albufeira for 2 days and he took us on a private tour to Lagos, Silves and multiple beaches in between. He was very thorough in his tour with lots of fun facts throughout the day. Our trip with Johnny was one of the highlights of our time in Portugal. While the weather didn’t cooperate with us to see all of the regular sites of the coast, Johnny quickly pieced together an amazing day that gave us the usual stops and an intimate look behind the scenes that allowed us to really get to know the life and people of this beautiful region.
