This was one of my favorite hikes ever! The views are spectacular. Michael , the guide, was very interesting and helpful. He was so great I wanted to go on another tour with him.

We went on a nature walk in Bordeira with Michael. It was the highlight of our Algarve vacation! Michael is a great guide and we had lots of fun, as well as enjoying the incredible scenery. If you love nature and want to enjoy more than just the beach, this is time well spent and an unforgettable walk.

I have just returned from a 5 day hiking trip with Quimera. Flores and Corvo (Azores). I realised after joining Quimera on more than 15 fabulous hikes in the last 18 months I hadn’t yet written a review. I can say wholeheartedly that choosing this small, Portuguese, professional travel company has really opened up so many experiences for me and deepened my understanding of Portugal and Spain. My recent adventures included Mertola, Granada, Hérvas, Azores and most of the Vincentina coast and Alentejo. One/two day excursions and 5 days trips. Last autumn to Píodão and Vila Velha de Ródão. So, always plenty of variety and ability levels on offer. The company is very professional, and efficient. Michael and his team are knowledgeable on all aspects of Portuguese history, culture and wildlife (plus he has a great sense of humour and is fluent in several languages). I initially was drawn by the opportunity to practice my Portuguese. Even though it has not improved as much as I had hoped, as my fellow walkers tend to be fairly fluent English speakers, I am happy to have made many lovely local portuguese friends. Looking forward always to more adventures in the future"

We had a great time on the wine tour. We went to 2 different producers that were contrasting and we found it really intresteing. Got to sample a good number of wines and Michael was really nice and informative. He knew the staff at both sites and sorted everything for us which was great. Would thoroughly reccomend.

We had a wonderful afternoon with Michael who took us to two very different wineries. We enjoyed both but were especially fond of our time at boutique winery Joao Clara. Michael was very knowledgeable about wines, winemaking and in particular local winemaking culture. Highly recommend this experience if you love good wine.

Perfect way to spend your afternoon if you are a wine lover! Our guide Michael was very knowledgeable and really friendly. We were lucky to have him just for two of us. He was telling us about wine growing and the history of wines. The two wineries were well chosen and the wines were delicious.

Michael was a fantastic tour guide for the day and helped me plan proposing to my girlfriend at the second winery.

2 very different producers and a great idea to visit both to see and understand the challenges and processes. The second vineyard experience is worth the price. Michael is knowledgeable and very accommodating. If you book the afternoon experience tapas is not included so I would advise having lunch. Otherwise... fantastic

My favorite part of this experience was visiting Piódão for the first time and its' stunningly unique character plus surrounding villages. The sellected hotel by Quimera Travel Experience was excellent, the walks were well planned and guided and the individual attention given to everyone was out standing!

This was an amazing adventure, experiencing the real beauty of nature and appreciation of Portugal. Very well organised with knowledgeable guides and lovely interesting participants. Keen to do more with this company

We spent 3 days birdwatching on the Algarve Coast with Michael from Quimera Travel Experience. The knwoledge of our guide was quite impressiv. We were lucky enough to spot, sometimes even at very close range some of Portugal rarest birds. This was sertenly not our last tour with Quimera. By the way, the restaurants Michael chose for us are amongst Algarve most typical places to have lunch.
