This was a highlight for our vacation in the Algarve. On a recommendation from a local, we chose to do the lunch service with a wine pairing.

what stands out for me was the location and setting. Sitting in a private vineyard thats 300 years old, under an olive tree that's 2000 years old is nothing short of spectacular.

The food was really good - solid hearty Portuguese fare. There was plenty on table for lunch. I wouldn't say the intro appetizers were anything to write home about, but the rest of the service was delicious.

The wine pairings were delicious. Nice showcase to the local grapes grown on site, and really quite good by themselves. We had 4 wines, including one dessert wine. The pours could have been larger, but wasn't looking to get sloshed. They were also generous to provide an extra pour when we asked.

The 2nd highlight was Rachel, who was an amazing host. She knew so much about the wines and was so passionate - both about the grapes and the culture around it. Plus she really went out of her way to make sure my baby daughter was taken care of.

Signage on site could have been a little clearer, but other from that, vineyard staff were also super friendly and gracious.

Breathtakingly beautiful settings, incredible food, and brilliant host! what more could you want? Catered for my food allergies and didn't shortcut ( normally vegans get given a half-made salad and some fruit for dessert) Wine was so good we purchased 4 bottles to take home, host didn't bombard us with information overload but we both left with knowledge on our favorite wines. Only reason I have given 4 as opposed to 5 stars is that it would have been nice to of had slightly more wine with dinner. We was lucky enough to see some of the rooms at the venue which is beyond gorgeous! would be a lovely wedding venue.

Superb day out for my Mum's birthday. It was so special to sit under the old olive tree and taste the lovely food and wine. The food was simple but delicious and the wine was so good we bought as much as we could carry home in our cases. We booked direct rather than through a tour and booked a private taxi - this worked really well for us during COVID as we didn't mix with anyone outside our party.

The place is nice, the food was average and we did not like the wine.
Overpriced for the overall experience as we booked through a different site that charges a much higher price.
We’ve had other wine tasting experiences which exceed this one far, and we recommend that this place work on the overall service and presentation.

The food was lovely, the ambiance was even better, and the hosts were kind and personable. One of the highlights of my trip to the Algarve. Delicious wines, too!

I was the only solo visitor but in the end I didn't mind. Also they gave me a small box to take home what I could not finish, and added a few extras in! Was a happy surprise when u arrived home.

Thanks to Duerte and our chef for the wonderful wonderful experience and most delicious food. Myself and my father and sister really enjoyed this day out. Beautiful area and beautiful wines. Really fabulous layout. My sister went again with a friend a few days later! My dad is already planning a return trip with my mum. Thanks and well done. Will be back.

Fabulous authentic and rustic experience. Portuguese flare in true style.

Food was delicious and very local to Silves. The wines are organic and delicious. Unfortunately, the vines have been impacted this year and being organic make it worse. The wine maker was very knowledgeable and accommodating.

Our table was set in the autumn sunshine under an old olive tree. We enjoyed a tasty traditional lunch accompanied by delicious wines introduced by Duarte, our helpful guide. Afterwards an interesting tour of the vineyard and olive press. Duarte spoke enthusiastically about future plans for the farm, and we look forward to them being realised. We’ll definitely return.

This is a very pleasant location to enjoy wine-tasting, with beautiful views over the vineyard to the surrounding countryside, The setting under the old olive tree for lunch was superb.- nicely shaded and very relaxing. Lunch was very tasty and comprised a number of local dishes - prepared using local ingredients, and ample for our party of thirteen guests. We thoroughly enjoyed the company of our fellow-guests, none of whom we had met previously.
We arrived slightly early before the other guests, and enjoyed interesting conversations too with Eduardo (?) the new Estate Manager and Sarah, the wine-growing specialist. It was good to hear that the team wish to preserve old traditions and desire to use organic methods whenever possible in the production of their wines,
We do have some constructive criticisms, which we wish to share. Firstly, in our opinion, the Estate has opened its doors to the public before it is fully ready to do so. Finding and accessing the property was not straightforward. We arrived by taxi and there was no signage either outside or inside the property making our arrival slightly awkward, though we know that Eduardo is addressing the external signs issue.
Our early arrival was made more problematic as the remainder of the group were delayed and did not arrive until an hour and half after the scheduled time. This was due to their transport issues. Fortunately this was not a major problem to us, but had we had another arrangement booked for later in the day, this would indeed have been a problem.
Importantly, we want to say that whilst we do not want or expect limitless wine at these events, we felt that the amount of wine supplied to our group was far less than it should have been- we literally had just a taste of each wine, and really we feel any guest would expect a full glass of each of the three wines - especially as the Estate is looking to sell wines to their guests.
Finally, when buying wines, it is increasingly necessary to be able to provide shipping - as transporting in luggage on flights is problematic due to weight restrictions. It would be in the Estate's interests to set up good shipping arrangements for overseas customers.
This is a new venture, and we feel sure that these issues will be addressed in time and that this will be a very pleasant way to spend a day of a holiday to the Algarve region.
