The driver was so fast and unconfortable .We were expecting other way to see animaos more pacefull on the boat.

Nice, easy to follow trail that's a loop and I suggest going left and getting the majority of the climbing done first and finishing through an old village that's mostly downhill on a stone pathway. Several waterfalls are visible and the largest one at the 1/2 way point.

Pico adventures were excellent. The driver/guide was very good and full of good information. The tour went all day and we had lunch at Tony's, traditional volcanic steam heated stew. It was delicious. One platter easily fed the two of us. As the weather changes frequently in November, Mario our guide/driver had flexible itineraries, that he changed as the weather changed. The van holds up to eight people, plus driver and if you have several larger persons, it gets a little cramped. If you go in November, bring a rain coat. We did three more tours with Pico, we found them all interesting, diverse and good value for the money. We certainly recommend Pico Tours

We specifically booked with these guys after all the positive reviews. We also decided to go on the rib for the adrenaline fun of it. The two girls who were skipper and biologist were really good and we got to see dolphins and sperm whales (a first for me). Highly recommended but if you get sea sick, maybe go on the larger boat they have.

Super helpful, friendly and knowledgable experts and staff, excellent boat. So much sea. Unlucky with the whales, but a fabulous pod of playful dolphins. Happy to recommend and would use again on a future visit to the Azores.

My husband and I are “older” first time canyoners. What a great way to spend half a day for those who want a little something different. The hike up the trail, rappelling down the waterfall, jumping from the waterfall and sliding down were all so much fun! Hugo and Scarlett helped us navigate the experience and safety was the number one priority. Don’t hesitate to try something new!

We had such a wonderful time on this adventure, the staff of the company was amazing, and educational. They were very resourceful, and my friend and i really enjoyed the day! I would recommend to anyone who loves nature!

Our tour guide Mario was very knowledgeable and considerate. This was our third tour with Pico. Pickup was on time and efficient. The ford van was ok. Really enjoyed our huge lunch, and the vegetarian option looked great. Wine, beer, and other beverages included. Fresh local Pineapple was fabulous. Mario made this an excellent day!

Really incredible day. We were lucky to see both dolphins and whales, the whales were pretty far away but I understand we don’t want to disturb their natural habitat. The true highlight for me was visiting the islet, it was a magical place. The water was crystal clear. It started raining lightly while we were there but it wasn’t cold and it just added to the experience. I will say some members of the group felt the day was a little long, but I thought they broke it up nicely with lunch and I truly enjoyed it all. I would maybe just recommend bringing dry clothes and don’t change into them until after the last boat ride to Ponta Delgada. Again, for us it was raining so it may be different for you. Also Bea, our guide, was lovely.

I went out on Oct 12th afternoon for a 3H dolphin and whales watching tour. The animal sighting was successful, as we encountered 2 sperm whales and countless dolphins. * Professionalism - They really try hard to encounter the animals. After meeting a large group of dolphins relatively close to Ponta Delgada, we still went out for 1h at full speed to look for whales. * Amazing Team - The boat driver (Natalia) was riding the waves at full speed. Despite big waves, we got home almost dry thanks to masterclass driving skills. The other crew member (Alexandre) was sharing details on the marine life in Portuguese and English for the full tour. They don’t just deliver an experience, but help building memories. * True nature lovers - The team is super respectful of the animals and the marine environment. I did the full day whale watching and the Islet of Vila Franca do Campo. It was a great experience. As other reviews say, it seems most of the whale watching tours (at least the 3 hour ones) are 1 hour of driving each way, and an hour (or less) of seeing dolphins and whales. I went in September where it is mostly only sperm whales - so this may be different/better in a different season. The staff were great. They provided a rain jacket for the boat and a snorkle for the islet, which was fun to explore. The staff on the boat were knowledgable and friendly.

Everything was awesome from start to finish: the gear, the trail, the obstacles, the views and especially the Hugo and Mário instructors mood throughout the activity : )
