One of the best experiences that I had in a long time, very relaxing trip. At first, I was a little concerned for not having any previous experience with horses, but the host was very careful when selecting me the most calm and obedient horse. The trip was adapted to accommodate even the less experienced person with the horses lined up and following the leader. It was a very nice trip, in very nice land and with good conversation along the way.

Among other issues, the major problem with GQ Horses is that they provided close-to-no information on how to find the starting point of the excursion, and despite repeated attempts to email and phone them on the days prior to the trip, no clarifying information was given until after midnight the night before the early-morning ride. Not only that, but the little information that was provided in their advertisement gave the name of the vocational school where the stables is located incorrectly, and so even searching for it on Google Maps was difficult. The organizers need to provide the GPS coordinates in their ad and get the name of the vocational school correct, as well as give info on how to find the stables once inside the vocational school grounds, because they are rather hidden and impossible to find without the help of unrelated peiople who happen to be hanging around the grounds and who happen to speak English. Furthermore, the excursion was promoted as being in English, but the young man who was our guide had clearly been forced to go on the excursion at the last minute and although he was sweet and tried hard, he spoke no English and no Spanish (our second language), and communication was virtually impossible. We had expected to be told about the Ria sights and ecosystem, and perhaps about its history, flora and fauna, but none of this happened. Again, he was a lovely young man, but not appropriate for the task. The only part that escapes criticism is the horses, who were lovely, willing and calm, perfect for a beginning rider like my son.
