Lisbon in One Day Historic Small Group Tour
From US$59.03
Overview
Explore Lisbon’s historic highlights on a small-group tour that goes from the top of Castelo Hill to the riverside Belém neighborhood, ticking off a long list of must-see landmarks along the way, including the Lisbon Cathedral, Jerónimos Monastery, and Belém Tower. Traveling in a climate-controlled minivan ensures a comfortable day of sightseeing, and group size is limited to eight people for more personal service from the guide.
What to Expect
Meet a driver at your hotel, then board a climate-controlled minivan for the trip to Castelo Hill, winding through narrow streets on the way to Lisbon Cathedral. Enter the church to see the intricate stained-glass window, then head to Alfama, among the oldest neighborhoods in the city.

From there, continue to the Belém district on the banks of the Tagus River, visiting the UNESCO-listed Jerónimos Monastery and Belém Tower. Try one of the neighborhood’s famous custard tarts, with time to purchase lunch at the edge of the river.

Head back to the city center, following a soaring 18th-century aqueduct, and stopping in Amoreiras to see the Mae de Agua Lisbon Aqueduct and Water Museum. The final stop of the day is in the Baixa neighborhood, the perfect place to learn how Lisbon rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake, then the tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.

There may be a line for Belem tower; I did not go in, but it is beautiful from the outside. The Monastery will also have a line, but it goes quickly. The Jeronimos church is free, easy to go in. Will take 1/2 hour to... More

There is a fair bit of walking which also includes some stairs so I would not recommend it for you if walking long dismantles is not possible for you. Sincerely, Brett Cane.
