Your day begins with a visit to Óbidos, Village of the Queens. A magnificently well-preserved medieval town, which you will explore on foot, along with your guide. After Óbidos, you’ll have the option of visiting the famous 12th century monastery of Alcobaça. This monastery is not only a beautiful architectural example, that include the King Don Pedro I and Inês de Castro monuments.
Next is Nazare, a small town, rich in traditions. You'll spend your lunchtime here. From Nazaré, you'll continue to the Monastery of Batalha, (or Alcobaça, as an option) an example of the late Gothic Portuguese style. Here, you'll find a mix of the Gothic with Manuelino Art, a symbol of the Portuguese maritime expansion. Next is Fátima and its Sanctuary, the site where Our Lady of Fátima appeared in 1917. Along the way, you'll have a taste of the traditional and famous cherry liqueur, Ginginha.
