We have enjoyed a nice day going to Evora. The guide was great, giving good information about the cities, culture, environment and economy of the region. We have visited the main places, but it would be nice to have an extra hour to walk around get to see more of the city. We had a marvelous lunch with wine included. After we visited a winery near by. It was great and we could taste 3 wines they produce.

Anne was our tour guide and she was awesome! Very informative and fluently switches from Portuguese to English. We got a late start because of an accident in the road and we still got to see everything.
The Roman temple, the church, the street vendors (don’t forget your cork products!) and the church of bones are all must see things!
After you do all that, you go out of town and visit a winery. They have great wine, a private coach museum and the guide shows you around the grounds.
We would definitely do this trip again!

My husband and I(late 20s) went on this tour as part of our trip. The organisation for pick up for everyone was great, nice tour bus with air con etc(30° day so was very needed!). Our tour guide was a lady with long blonde hair, of course I've forgotten her name. She was amazing, very knowledgeable and really tried her best to accommodate the 3 nationalities of the group which was obviously difficult with so much history to explain. Great walk around Evora, into churches and learning a lot about the architecture and history of the area. And answered a lot of individual questions as well. We opted for lunch included which was local food and beyond incredible. A 3 course meal with wine. The wine tasting/tour was super interesting.

Negatives:
The group was about 35 of us which is a large group of people for the tour guide to talk to. Sometimes difficult to hear the information. And a lot of waiting for people who had strayed off.

I am a big fan of different languages and cultures, however 3 different languages to translate all of the information takes a long time.

I would recommend this tour, if you have problems with walking though then maybe not the best option for you as it is mostly cobbled streets and small hills in town.

Dear Jessica M, Thank you for your detailed and honest feedback. We are very happy about your 4 in 5 stars rating to your trip to Évora. We regret though that the delays of other passengers decreased the quality of your experience, but in fact that's something we can't control. We appreciate your suggestions and we will take them in consideration to improve our services. Kind regards,

This is the absolute best tour we have taken in the EU-I rate it better than some of the Rome tours because there are so many points of interest in a central area - all within walking distance. If you decide on the Evora tour be prepared for a long day and bring good walking sneakers This is a fully Guided Bus Tour to Evora-about an hour and 15 minutes from Central Lisbon by coach. We took the Cityrama Tour with a multi-lingual guide -Monica. She is fluent in three languages and simply an awesome tour guide with an outgoing personality. The perfect tour Guide-she rates a solid 10 and answers all questions.

The tour is extensive, and you could easily spend two days in Evora and still not see everything. Your mid-morning starts by touring the second oldest University in Portugal built in the 1500’s and STILL in operation. Monica gave the group an extensive tour of the entire college. Class sizes are limited to 30 plus students and each classroom has wooden desks and chairs with a close podium and in excellent condition. There is nothing in our country that you can compare it to. Class was in session in some rooms when we toured. The grounds and architecture are beautiful. This is such an impeccable and upscale university - with an ancient historical flair.

The tour includes full admission to the Evora Cathedral and the Bone Museum. The Cathedral was amazing and unbelievable with a stunning interior and art from ancient times. It rivals many of the churches in Rome and there is artwork and pictures from the ancient Portuguese generations. If you go on line you will see an unbelievable 47 points of interest in Evora-more than you can see in one day.

The tour includes a tour of the Bone Museum that was a real experience-sort of eerie and mystical in how all the bones were placed in position. There is really a must see. After the tours of the Museums and Churches, your tour includes a great lunch if you paid the upcharge. Trust me - it is well worth it. Another option is to skip the lunch and eat in the village. There are an extensive number of restaurants and cafes to choose from. Monica managed the entire lunch which includes drinks. If you don’t like the selection you can change from pork to chicken. The restaurant is old, but upscale and welcoming to the group. Our group had about 10-12 people from all parts of the world attending lunch

After Lunch, the group is guided to a great winery in the central to part of town for wine tasting. We bought 3 bottles to take back to TN. Shopping is great and no matter which way you turn there is a boutique or store for every item imaginable. We returned to Lisbon just before dark (late October) and had a drink in the Hotel. We reviewed our Evora tour and 50 plus pictures.
