      Fun cooking in Lisbon
Had a wonderful experience cooking Portuguese food with our Chef. Food and wine were excellent and Pedro made it very fun for myself and my wife. Would do again!

      Great class - highly recommend
We'd highly recommend this class! As it was December, there were only 4 of us, so it was very hands on. Gi (the chef/teacher) was brilliant - really down-to-earth, friendly and knowledgeable. The dishes tasted great and there was wine and nibbles available whilst we were prepping the meal. On top of that, the other couple doing the class were lovely! All-in-all, a great evening and a highlight of our trip. They emailed out the recipes after the class so we'll be trying them at home for sure :)

      3 Delicious Breads in Lisbon
Pedro took us through creating three different breads, which were all delicious, in just a few hours! We mixed, weighed, shaped, filled, and baked breads while learning about each area they are from, as well as some great tips on how to be successful when making these treats. Highly recommend that others take the time to experience this class.

Foodies delight, cooking, learning and eating...
What a truly great evening. Our chef, Padro, was so welcoming, kind, fun and kept us all on task. Everyone got to share in the preparation and cooking. The mood was very informal and all the participants mingled and chatted throughout the evening. A great way to experience Portuguese cooking, food and wine.

      Highlight Experience
This was one of the highlights of our Portugal trip. There were 13 of us including the instructor. First, verde wine and snacks to keep our strength up. Then the instructor explained what was on the menu for the evening. She was able to make adjustments to accommodate food allergies. We all chose which food item to work on. Our instructor was patient, informative, and kind. Imagine having 12 people asking you questions all night! Yet she ran the kitchen like a fine tuned machine. At the end we all sat down to enjoy the fruitage of our labor family style. It was a great evening! I would highly recommend this class. Oh, and all the food was delicious. We did good.😊

      A great experience in Lisbon
It was a fantastic day! We were a group of six. First we toured the market and bought the fish and vegetables for our three course meal. We returned and were introduced to the kitchen and started peeling and chopping — the “prep” work. Everyone got to chat and enjoy sips of Vino Verdas as we worked. The dessert was prepared first and put in the oven while we started the soup and prepped the fish for the stew. We all learned so much about the proper cleaning of shrimp and filleting fish. And cutting the vegetables just as the chef preferred. Voila! It was assembled and cooked and soon we sat down to enjoy our first course of kale soup with chorizo. Followed by the fish stew and then… the wonderful orange dessert which was light and fresh. Chef GUI was great. He answered all of our questions, taught us techniques and shared his good sense of humor and his background. It was a terrific experience! Thank you.

      Very good cooking class
Pedro was great. We learned a lot. The dishes were very tasty and we're definitely going to try that at home. The little snacks and wine is a very appreciated bonus.

      Fun cooking class
Renatta was our chef and she was amazing. The small group of 12 was perfect. The wine and the conversation flowed all evening. And we learned a lot about Portuguese cooking. A wonderful experience.

      Worth it!
Pedro was an outstanding chef and host. I cannot believe that we were able to make eight different dishes and have the time to sit down for a wonderful meal with new friends. What an experience! Highly recommend. It was a great education, delicious wines, and food.

      Cancelled class
Cooking Lisbon cannot be trusted. I booked a cooking class and then days before the class, Cooking Lisbon informed me the class had been moved from Tuesday to Wednesday. Then on Monday, Cooking Lisbon informed me the class had been cancelled. I contacted Cooking Lisbon and was told that since I had not confirmed the class on Wednesday, the class had been cancelled. I informed Cooking Lisbon I had received an email stating my reservation for the class on Wednesday was confirmed. I asked why I needed to confirm the class when their email stated my reservation was confirmed. I also asked where in their email it stated I needed to confirm the class. Cooking Lisbon could not show it to me. So typical. Blame the customer. I had rearranged my visit to Lisbon so that I could take the class on Wednesday. I spent the next day contacting other cooking classes. I explained my situation that Cooking Lisbon had cancelled at the last moment and could they please add 1 more to their class. Unfortunately, they were all full. Some did say they were not surprised Cooking Lisbon had cancelled the class. Do yourself a favor. Find a more reliable and professional cooking class than Cooking Lisbon to avoid having your class cancelled.

A must do experience when in Lisbon! ❤️
One of the highlights of our recent trip was a cooking class in Lisbon at Cooking Lisbon! With our amazing chef Roberta, we created a wonderful authentic Portuguese meal. Our experience beginning with our personalized group booking with Filipe to eating our freshly made dinner with Roberta was exceptional. A great venue with lots of good food, good wine and wonderful friends, can’t ask for anything more!

This was a great Pasteis de Nata class! The instructor was lovely, very knowledgeable, and has a lot of experience in kitchens around Lisbon and beyond. I learned a lot about the pastel process, and I feel confident I would be able to replicate this at home. Her English was impeccable, so there were no issues with translation. I would happily recommend!

Our hostess was most helpful in giving the class, tips on how best to make the Pasteis de Natas. Hands on mixing the ingredients, rolling the dough and shaping the crust onto the tin molds. The making of the egg custards and pouring it into the molds. We were able to eat our pasteis de nata, along with coffee and wine. It was a pleasant experience!

We had a grest experience learning how to make natas with Lucilia. Our small group had individual attention from start to finish. I feel confident to make on my own when I get home. It was a fun and educational experience that I highly recommend to anyone interested in learning about natas!

If I could give this class a Zero I would! The one thing I wanted to do on my trip was to take a cooking class. After trying Portuguese egg tarts I was hooked. I booked the class, paid for it and all was confirmed. The instructor never showed up! I could not get someone to answer my calls when I tried to confirm they were coming. Eventually I DM’d them on instagram and they still did not reply. Completely unprofessional. I ended up wasting my last day in Portugal waiting for the instructor. They may have refunded the cost of the class, but not the cost of my time… or the cost of parking for that matter.

We did the Pastéis de Nata Experience! One of the highlights of our Mom and Daughter trip. We had so much fun that we did not want to leave. I thought the Pasteis De Nata tasted just as great, if not better, than most we tried in Portugal. Definitely add this to your trip, or you will regret it.

The chef didn’t show up and we were not notified. We took an Uber across town, was left standing outside in the rain, and had to take an Uber back. It was our last day in Lisbon and a cooking class was a number one goal of our vacation. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING and poorly handled.

We have long loved pasteis de nata and were thrilled to have an opportunity to learn to make them. Filippa was a welcoming and personable teacher. She gave us very clear instructions and support. The end result was an overflowing plate of tasty treats. She sent home with us as many as we could take.

Our party of 8 had a fantastic time in our personal baking class of pastel de nata with Cooking Lisbon. Our teacher was terrific, we learned a lot, ate a ton, and really enjoyed our experience. We are 4 adults and 4 teenagers and everyone had a lot of fun. Definitely worth it. 5 stars.

My sister and I did the Pasteis de Nata class with Ana and had an amazing time. She was a wonderful teacher, very funny, and the end result was a delicious pastry. We learned a lot about Portugese culture, food, and people. Highlight of our trip and would strongly recommend to anyone visiting the city.
