About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Highlandtrekker0 contributionsA must do tourThe e-bike tour is a must-do experience. Note that it's not a traditional Sintra sightseeing tour; if that's your priority, this tour may not be suitable. You'll pass by notable spots quickly, and some attractions, like National Palace of Pena , Cabo de Roca, are viewed from a distance. Our knowledgeable guide, Andre, is a Sintra local. The tour combines road and off-road biking, with breathtaking views through the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park and along the Atlantic Ocean. Regular breaks ensure a comfortable pace. Lunch is served at Cafe Ocidente in Azoia. A family run small eatery. Overall, the tour was fantastic and is highly recommended. However, there's room for improvement: - Lunch felt overly long; trimming the break could allow for a visit to Cabo de Roca. - Time spent on coffee in Cascais could be optimized to explore Boca do Inferno up close. Minor adjustments would elevate this already exceptional experience.Written 17 November 2024
- _sd_sr_sa_20200 contributionsBest way to get a feel for the cityThis tour was great, everything we expected and more. What a fantastic way to get a feel for the city - and many breathtaking views. Bikes were a high quality brand and we practically "flew" up the hills. Hugo was our terrific guide, highly recommended.Written 12 November 2024
- larspark0 contributionsGood way to experience Sintra and CascaisMaya was the perfect tour guide and showed us all the good spots like the forest near Sintra and the coast line by Cascais. I warmly recommend this tour on e bike that makes it comfortable to ride 65 km in a day and see a lot of what Sintra and Cascais have to offerWritten 3 November 2024
- bevl6910 contributionsVery good electric bike experienceExcellent way to see the city . Bikes very good but I feel that you do need to gave electric bike experience .. then easy despite hills .Written 1 November 2024
- 715debid0 contributionsThis is the company you want to book with!Andre is the best! He grew up in Sintra and knows the area very well. There were only three of us on this tour and he gave us options for different paths and places to eat. The perfect amount of history, breaks, views and riding. We went off road and it was a great workout. The bikes are super easy. The company will cater to your fitness level. I personally wanted a good workout as well as a beautiful ride and I received both.Written 29 October 2024
- shellyweiss0 contributionsGreat way to see Lisbon on an e-bikeThis was a thrilling bike tour. Ugo was a terrific guide, engaging, and giving us lots of information on the history of Lisbon. We loved this tour. Would highly recommend it!Written 26 October 2024
- shellyweiss0 contributionsFantastic day e-bike tourWe had a fantastic day with our guide Maya! Maya was lovely, gave us interesting information, made sure we were biking safely, was open to our specific interests. We booked a group tour but fortunate to have a private tour with Maya. The scenery was beautiful. We had a delicious lunch at Cafe Occidente. We saw Sintra, the national park, the ocean! It could not have been a better day. We highly highly recommend this tour- and travelling with Maya!!Written 26 October 2024
- michellegK9336HQ0 contributionsIt had everything- local history, great ebikes, castles, palaces national park, beaches, towns, good food- amazing day!The ebikes were fantastic, the views superb. Andre's local knowledge & history made the trip even better, & the lunch delicious. Can't say enough how much we enjoyed this tour, highly recommend it!Written 21 October 2024
- X1075DAmadisonm0 contributionsSuch a great experience!I did the Sintra and Cascais E-bike tour with Andre! It was a phenomenal way to see the area. The scenery and architecture were extremely beautiful. As Andre said, “it should be a crime to travel to Lisbon and not visit Sintra”. Andre was so knowledgeable about the history of the area and included thoughtful insight on the topics. He catered the tour to our wants and needs.Written 21 October 2024
- bogumils9690 contributionsBest way of learning about LisbonPerfect way to learn about Lisbon. Perfect guide, beautiful views, super e-bike. As for me this is the best way of sightseeing.Written 13 October 2024
- bogumils9690 contributionsBest way to visit Sintra and CascaisThe perfect way to get to know this part of Portugal. If you're tired of boring historical details and after hearing 20-30 dates you stop remembering anything except your name, this is it. An active pleasure, not too extreme, with some of the most important historical descriptions that help you understand the Portuguese people. Fresh air, nice people, beautiful and mesmerizing views, day long activity, interesting places.Written 13 October 2024
- stephencE3515AC0 contributionsHad a Blast !!!!Had an amazing time with Maya, she showed us some awesome views along the way she kept it fun and interesting. Met some fun people in our group. We had some laughs and stopped at a lovely local restaurant. Great time all around only thing is I wish we could have stopped for a few moments along the ocean on the way back to train station and been able to take some picture, ( just for future reference). Thanks again for a great time.Written 10 October 2024
- 351isabellea0 contributionsWhat. A. TourHad an amazing time! Signed up for what we thought would be a routine trip around the national park in Sintra, but it really turned in to something much more fun and exciting. We got to see the sights, but we’re taken on beautiful scenic routes, even going off road for long stretches of time, this was exhilarating and something you would not expect. Andre, our guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable, and his freestyle approach to the tour is what made it a special experience. Those who leave bad reviews do so because they are boring and not up for an adventure. I urge everyone to try the trip into Sintra and not listen to the bad reviews.Written 9 October 2024
- georgesF7767MQ0 contributionsWonderful bike ride to SintraThe bike trip to Sintra was wonderful. Mia was our guide and her enthusiasm, friendly spirit, and consideration to care for all the riders in the group was evident throughout the adventure. She tailored the day for our group to experience the local community. We stopped and had the most delicious and authentic lunch at a local farmer’s market. The ride was invigorating and the scenery breathtaking! We are in our mid 60’s and had the best time exploring other areas outside Lisboa. We made friends with some great people on the ride and We would highly recommend this day trip… and definitely ask for Mia as your guide!Written 8 October 2024
- Irish-Melody0 contributionsCycle TourMia was a wonderful guide and gave my husband & I a top notch cycling tour! She was very educated about the area and was able to answer any of our questions. She made the tour fun and crafted it around our personalities. Take the tour and request Mia!Written 8 October 2024

A great way to see parts of Lisbon that we would have missed. Our tour took us from the centre to Lisbon to Belem. The cycling was mainly on the flat with the perfect amount of short stops. Our guide Sylvia was very informative and overall, we really enjoyed the experience. It was free apart from the bike hire, with a recommendation on the booking that you tip what you feel the trip was worth. We were 4.5 hours and Sylvia well deserved a tip. She was heading away on a second afternoon trip shortly after we returned. Highly recommend this

My husband and I booked the Lisbon City to Belem Bike Tour and when we arrived, we were the only ones booked on the tour that morning. It ended up being a private tour for us! Miguel was very informative and we chatted along the way and he showed us many of the sites as well as some things that we may not have seen if we had not booked the tour.
We thoroughly enjoyed it and it made a change to a walking tour. It is a really great way to see the city. Thank you Miguel!

This was a great way to see the city, especially along the waterfront. It took a little longer from our hotel to get to the meeting point so I called and told them we would be late. The tour guides waited for us, which I appreciated. We decided to choose electric bikes. Being a 100 degree Fahrenheit day it was worth the little extra money. The tour guides stopped at many places along the way telling us about the history and information about them. If I had more time, I would have gone back to some of the sites. I highly recommend this bike tour, you can go places on a bike that cars can't.

This is a free bike tour, you pay for the equipment not the guide, and lasts 4 hours. Most of the ride is away from traffic and on the level by the river. You take in some of the sites but there was not much explanation of the history of the city and its development which was disappointing. We stopped at various points which appeared to be geared more to tourists than people wanting to better understand the local scene, eg the TimeOut market and the XL factory. We cycled 21 km at a gentle pace in a group of 12. The last 2 kilometres are uphill and quite steep !

After a long first day walking Lisbon we needed to find a different way to tour this city without all the walking. We came across this Bike Tour and booked it based on reviews. It was beyond our expectations. We had booked the €14 option but realised on arrival this was for Classic bikes not E Bikes. Not a problem as E Bikes were available so make sure you book correctly not like us. Once sorted Rodriguez took a lot of time to talk us through the Do's and Dont's the main one is avoid the tram lines..
We headed off and the wonderful Marta stayed at the rear of the group to make sure the group was all ok. Many times we were told don't worry about stopping us you are on holidays, you must enjoy this. Each stop was well planned we saw places we never would have visited from Markets to Culture spots, tasted the famous Pateis de Natal ( the famous Custard Tarts). We were guided safely and energetically all the way to Belem with snippets of humour and history and facts thrown in. Bikes are well maintained & Marta and Rodriguez are by far the best tour guides. I am post foot surgery and the bikes made for a fabulous way to sightsee. 100% book this you will not be disappointed. Go in the am, avoid the heat & Sundays quieter.

The trip started out with a lot of downhill but was mostly flat after that. The end required a steep climb back. If challenged with uphill biking, then it may be good idea to go with an electric bike tour. They have electric bikes, but you have to reserve them in advance. The bikes were pretty well used. My seat would not tighten all the way, which meant it swiveled and lowered, requiring repeated adjustment. The guide was really sweet and friendly. She spoke decent English, but was at times hard to understand. Don’t expect any frills. Water is available at the facility through a garden hose, so bring a bottle. On-site parking is available, but it is a narrow driveway. There were about 10 stops along the way, with a few of them allowing for time to buy some food and water.

Hi!
Everything you described about the tour was explained to you in the tour description, in the message you received after your booking and in the briefing before starting the tour.
As for parking, we don't have it available for customers. Sometimes, exceptionally, when it's possible, I allow the parking of the car near our house, because this saves money and other possible stresses, such as penalties and blocked car. But unfortunately that didn't satisfy you enough because parking the car in that place was difficult for you, I'm sorry about that, but I just wanted to be kind.
By the way about the heat - temperatures that day aren't normal in Lisbon, what we can do in days like this one, to minimize the heat is to stop more often so that everyone can drink water and stay a little longer in the shade, that's what we did.
Best Regards
Miguel

Had a fantastic time. Myself and my daughter were in Lisbon for a quick weekend visit and we were so glad we decided on this brilliant fun-filled adventurous, well paced, informative bike tour. We saw so many places, heard so many stories from Sylvia.. She is so energetic, warm and friendly and really brings all her great stories and information to life.. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Our group of 5 got on great as well thanks to Sylvia. 👍🙏..

We set off at 10 a.m expecting a 1,5-2 hour long tour (as advertised). Instead, Miguel provided us with an experience of a lifetime. Cruising on the streets of this beautiful city with an electric bike is an amazing feeling on its own. But doing it with someone who knows the streets and the history of Lisbon as well as Miguel does? It's something we will never forget. This tour is a must for anyone visiting Lisbon.

Miguel took us on a fantastic route through Lisbon and Belém amidst the Coronavirus panicked locals. I’m sure the route had to be altered slightly as many things were closed, but I came away with the feeling that I had seen so much more than I would have on a normal day. It was a beautiful sunny day and we saw some great spots off the beaten track, including Madonna’s gaff and Miguel’s favourite spot for a sunset. Thanks so much for a fantastic day.

A great half day with the amazing Miguel - gentle cycling with stops at sites of interest along the way. Miguel gives the history and then the backstory you will not see in any guidebooks!
He was patient with us, showed us the best viewpoints for selfies, kept us safe on the roads and shared top tips for places to eat and drink whether on a budget or a blowout all dispensed with wry humour and generous spirit.
As essential as the Belém Pastei de Nata and viño verde we enjoyed along the way.
Can’t recommend this highly enough- obrigado Miguel!

Is this bike tour suitable for someone who finds hills difficult but perfectly fine on the flat or gentle hulls?
Written 5 November 2021
Yes definitely! You go downhill to start with and then 90+% of the route is flat. You do have to come back up the hill at then end but Miguel points out an easy walking route so you can just push your bike up. The people who chose to do this arrived back before us die-hards who'd chosen to cycle up! None of us had e-bikes btw, and while that is an option, it's a fair bit more expensive and not necessary if you're comfortable cycling on the flat. Hope this helps :)
