Very informative tour of Lisbon's Jewish history
Nov 2019
We really enjoyed this tour and discussion of the Jewish history and culture in Lisbon.

Our guide, Pedro Osorio, was very excited and knowledgeable about the subject; and very open for questions and discussion. Although we had had reasonable knowledge of the topic, Pedro had a lot more information to contribute and discuss. Well done!

Informative Jewish Tour of Lisbon
Oct 2019
The tour was informative and our tour guide was personable and knowledgable. She took us to interesting areas of the city and gave us the background history related to the Jews that lived there during those periods.
We also got to sample an delicous pastry!
I would highly recommend this tour !

Ines was a great guide. Learned a lot of history that was entirely new to me, and she was very engaging. An enjoyable morning outing that allowed us to see more of the city and in an interesting and different way.

Thoroughly Interesting

Pedro tried hard to convey what little evidence is left here. Whilst his general Jewish knowledge is basic he was very informed on what we wanted to know, the Jewish past in Lisbon and Portugal.

A great tour with even a greater guide
We took this tour on our weekend in Lisbon. Even though it was only me and my wife, the company held the tour which is a major point to their advantage. The tour itself is very interesting and informative passing through both city center and Alfama which is a great opportunity to see both while learning the Jewish history of Portugal. But the main advantage, by far, was Catarina. Fonseca- the guide. She was just so great. So knowledge and pleasant. She made the tour super interesting and even invested her own time after the tour ended in helping us get restaurant recommendations and book a fado restaurant and show for the evening. We’ve booked the Cascais and Sintra tour and can only wish to get a guide like Catarina. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Very engaging and informative tour
Pedro was a wonderful tour guide and I enthusiastically recommend taking this tour with him. He conveyed such thorough knowledge of the history of Jews in Lisbon and Portugal at large and I was captivated the whole time. Pedro eagerly answered questions and was genuinely invested in the subject matter. There aren’t many physical pieces of evidence of Jewish life remaining in Lisbon but Pedro did a stellar job of taking us through history and showing us key locations as well as talking about modern developments.
