      Buggy tour
An amazing experience with Louis our guide on the half day buggy tour. The trails were brilliant, the views spectacular and the buggy was amazing. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Unforgettable

      Awful and unsafe Buggy tour
We tried the buggy tour in Madeira Radical and it was an awful experience. The buggy cars wars old and dirty. The car brock dawn up on the mountain and had mechanical / electrical problems. It was unsafe because of issues with the seatbelts Our tour was damaged and not finished as planed. We did not even get discount or our money back. I have e-mailed the owner of the company to find out what he was going to do with all these problems we had in our buggy tour, but he didnt bother himself to answer me !!! DONT DO THE BUGGY TOUR WITH THIS COMPANY. YOU WIL REGRAT IT AND IT IS UNSAFE.

      This was fun!
We did an off-road buggy tour for approx. 3h. It was an amazing experience and definitely worth the money. The tour guide was a friendly man giving us the best experience and adapted his tour according to the wishes of his guests. The tour was amazing and it took us through a lot of hidden places in the mountains and with an amazing view! He really knew the best hotspots to take us to! Of course there was some joy riding as well which we enjoyed a lot! Would definitely recommend wearing old clothes, cause if you’re like us, you’ll get a little dirty during the tour. Would definitely recommend doing this tour if you’re in Funchal or surroundings!

How can something this fun be so cheap
Booked up by chance at the Marina with the very helpful Catarina. The Buggies themselves were in great condition & very modern. My tour guide Marcio was very friendly and knowledgable . Throughout the tour he was patient / extremely helpful and these qualities that he possessed are what ensured they i will be back again. I recommend anybody visiting Madeira to use this service with this company as it’s a great way to see the island.

      Fantastic buggy adventure
They only have a couple of buggies and one was being repaired when we booked, so we had an instructor buggy and just ours on the tour. The trip was well worth the money and the instructor tailored the driving to my capabilities. Exciting time, brilliant views and well worth the money.

      Awesome buggytour
Amazing trip. It was worth every penny. I would recommend this Tour to everyone who Loves adrenaline and engines. Marcio is a very good guide. He knows so much about madeira and you will learn alot about this Isle. Also we stopped in non-touristic restaurants during the Trip and drank some poncha. You also get alot of fotos of the Trip which is a nice memory. Cheers from germany

      Kayak
The guide was injured on the day of our planned trip, but we could still use the boats on our own. This saved our trip. Exploring the area around Funchal is nice but nothing really special. It takes some time to leave the harbor, which is time-consuming for a half day. Drybags need to be accommodated by your own. Overall, a good your in Funchal.

Good trip but cold in May
We booked something a little different, a Kayak tour as we bought our own snorkels. The trip was well organised, very well managed but the weather is out of their control. We did see quite a few fish whilst snorkelling but it was just too cold to stay in for very long. Make sure you go when it’s warm.

      Really fun kayak
I had a great half day kayak trip with Marcio. He showed us some cool things on the way to the snorkel spot. Pick a sunny day though.. it's chilly if it's cloudy. The guide also took photos and videos which we received a couple of days after our trip. I would definitely recommend this company and trip.

      Kayaking
My wife really wanted to go sea kayaking so we booked a wee trip out from Funchal. I'm a little nervous about this as I'm not the best swimmer, but we had appropriate safety gear and it was a beautiful day. The wind did get up a wee bit but our guide was excellent and offered continual support. In the end I had a lot of fun and never felt unsafe. Fine for the inexperienced but a little familiarity with kayaking wouldn't hurt.. Booking the trip was easy and Eunice at Madeira Radical was really friendly and helpful.

      Fun in the sea
Good half day. Bit slow to start and set up wasn’t super slick, but once we got going it was fun, relaxed, and the guide was good, friendly and made sure we knew what we were doing before going out in to open water. The route was good and we stopped off at a local swim spot for a bit of snorkelling. Good couple of hours out if it’s your first time or you want a little refresher, or warm up. Would recommend.

Really nice trip to the Desertas Islands!
Booked the trip online the week before and driver met us at our hotel. Nice yacht along with about 10 others took us to the islands through some pretty choppy water. This was our first time on this type of boat so took a little while to adjust to the sea! Happily located on the deck on a bean bag (you can sit inside if you prefer but as the weather was good we chose to roost on the deck) We stopped along the way to see a group of pilot whales along with spotting the odd turtle zip past. Arriving at the islands we hopped in to a motor dinghy which took us to the shore for a short tour of the tourist centre followed by a visit on the dingy to the caves! (Lots of crabs hiding in there!) then returned to the yacht for really nice lunch and sangria. Really nice trip and a nice way for us to end our holiday in Madeira. Highly recommended (unless you happen to suffer from sea sickness :p)and met some really nice people on the trip. Our guide was also brilliant .

      Kayak - Lazareto Tour
This trip was amazing. More than 5 stars. First of all it was my birthday so I chose to start this way with my boyfriend - best option ever. The day was amazing and the sea good. The pick up was done nearby my house which is always handy. Then we went down to Funchal, got ready and were able to left our things safe in land. They gave us water, provided the snorkel equipment and a camera to take photos that they provide for free. We did the Lazareto tour and were given the option to paddle a bit further away or stop by lazareto beach for longer and snorkel more in the natural reserve area. We decided for the last option and snorkelled a bit more, which was amazing!!!! So many fishes and the water clear! We had time to rest, have a good swim and dry a bit when we came back. When arriving to land we were offer the possibility of taking a quick shower as well. In the end, our guide Mauro Pereira took us to an amazing place to try some new ice creams and end up in a great way this tour. Then he took us back to our pick up point. This was an amazing half day activity, me and my boyfriend loved doing this and if you enjoy some adventure + sea + good weather this is what to do! Thank you so much for your service today! It was great! :-)

We saw the clouds gather over Ilas Desertas and wondered about if the trip would Get cancelled… At the agreed time we met Marcio and he assured we’d go ahead.
The three couples all had quite different experience and fitness levels. Marcio managed it perfectly. There was a short set of drills in the harbour basin that gave him insight in how he can expect each team to manage.
The least experienced couple got attention, the more experienced and fit ones got guideance and a longer route. The snorkelling was fun as well, due to high winds Marcio adjusted the location but we still managed to see a lot of fish, some bigger schools and some smaller ones.
The equipment was well maintained and worked fine in the swell that was over one meter high.

My background is 40 years of kayaking and I’ve organized several group events also this current season.

Pedro was our guide and he was excellent. We really enjoyed the kayak out to the bay we snorkelled in. We also really enjoyed the snorkelling. The tour was good value for money and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to get a good amount of kayaking and snorkelling in.

This was an amazing, amazing experience. Our guide was so patient and knowledgeable, we have no prior experience doing kayaking and he spent time with us making sure we knew what we were doing. Kayak along the coast to a nature reserve where you get out of the kayaks to snorkel. I'm not at all a strong swimmer but again our guide was so patient and helpful. He suggested I can go and explore the ruins since I'm not a strong swimmer and it turned out to be the best part of the tour, he took us around and told us so much about the island and nature reserve. It was so so so cool.

Highly recommended, an experience you will not forget

I wanted to get back on the water in a kayak and snorkel off Madeira in the nature reserve and this looked the perfect trip. The sea was calm, the sun was hot and we, mother(70) and gown up daughter, were the only people other than the guide and his pretty young lady who was determined to sit back, cover herself in suntan lotion and soak up the sun. We have kayaked together before so didn't need to practice in the harbour. Our guide struggled manfully with his English but we felt there must have been more to talk about having read previous reviews. Once in the reserve, the kayaks were strapped together and to two of us plopped into the water to snorkel. Unfortunately the sea was quite murky and we saw very little but the experience was good. Our guide then asked us what we wanted to do next, we suggested paddling further along the reserve but this was not possible. After a while of just bobbing about in the sun we said we were happy to return even if it was too early. This is when the most exciting part of the trip began. The sea swell increased and we were carried forward on the waves, white horses abounded, all was fun until we got the reflected waves off the harbour walls. My daughter and I decided it was time to go for it and powered back to the landing, I am sorry to say we did not hang about for our guide who was a considerable distance behind us. We both thoroughly enjoyed the experience even though it was not as expected.

Only giving 1 star because I can't give any less, my partner organised this trip as a surprise for me.

We missed breakfast and paid a taxi to get us to the meeting point 15 mins before pick up, 3/4 of an hour later with no one coming to meet us, it was apparent they weren't coming.

We tried phoning the contact number and emailing but got no reply.

Dont waste youre time booking with these, I'm sure there are many better more professionally ran tour operators in the area

Had a great time kayaking with my boyfriend and a friend! Started at the harbour in Funchal, straight to the natural reserve of Garajau. The guides Luis and Tomé made sure everyone was staying together by having several check points. Also included in the tour was a bit of snorkeling in the marine reserve. They provide you with life vests, a small bottle of water per person and also equipment for the snorkeling. It was a very nice morning and you have amazing views of Funchal. Thanks again Luis and Tomé ☺️

Overall the experience was fantastic! We were fortunate enough to have good conditions on the sea for Kayaking out to the beautiful protected area for a bit of snorkeling. Overall felt safe during the trip. My only concern would be the instructor seemed quite impatient at times, especially when for some it was their first time sea Kayaking and getting in and out of the sea to snorkel was tricky.

Nice day out. Definately bring footwear that you dont mind getting wet as the beach is just big pebbles.
Nothing exciting about the trip, but we learned to Kayak. The man included some photos to keep as a memory.

We had a fun adventure kayaking round the coast and hearing about the history of Funchal's ports and roads. Unfortunately the water was too choppy to see fish so the snorkelling was disappointing but couldn't be helped.

I cut my foot on a rock and it started bleeding and the tour guide didn’t even have a bandaid, let alone a first aid kit. I would hate to think how a serious injury would be handled!

A minor thing, but the tour advertises that water will be provided, and we were all handed a 330ml bottle each. This really isn’t adequate for a 3 hour water sport activity in the hot sun.

Also, we were told that we could put phones in waterproof pouches. I looked over mine and it had a hole in it. The guide gave me at least another 8-9 to look through and they were ALL ripped with holes in them.

The tour guide was slightly standoffish and gave one-word answers to most questions.

Sadly I wouldn’t recommend using this tour guide company.
