Unfortunately the guide cannot show you around
Sep 2019
This trip was a bit of a let down when we found ourselves on our own with no guide to explain what we were seeing and where to go. To make matters worse the inside of the Church is being restored so was covered in tarps and scaffolding. It was a lot of time and money to see very little and learn next to nothing about the area. Our guide explained what he could during the journey there however once we got there we were informed that Portuguese guides are not allowed to work in and around the area.

Perfect day trip from Porto
May 2018
We were picked up from our hotel for our day trip to northern Spain by our driver/guide in a comfortable mini bus. We visited the ancient Portuguese fortress at Valenca do Minho on our way north and walked around the part of the town which is within the fortress walls and viewed the surrounding area from a high part of the old walls. We continued over the border into Spain and reached Santiago de Compostela later in the morning. Our first port of call was the Cathedral but as it was Sunday and the Camino Pilgrims Mass was due to start we decided not to join the long queue and visit the inside of the cathedral later after lunch. After some free time to walk around the town we gathered at the restaurant for a delicious lunch. Our visit to the cathedral was well worth the wait. It is a World Heritage site and reputed to be the place where St James is buried with both Romanesque and Baroque styles.

The best tour ever
Oct 2017 • Couples
This tour was extraordinary. There were only me and my husband on the tour and Francisco our guide gave us a good time to look around when we stopped at interesting places. It is a long drive but Francisco was very knowledgeable and fun to be with so before we knew we arrived in Santiago De Compostela. What an amazing place! We don´t regret the long drive to be able to see Santiago De Compostella and its surroundings. And the food we were served in a small cozy restaurant was good and the owner of the place very friendly. Thank you so much for this experience, Francisco.

Lovely!
This tour is a must - the guide, Pedro, was very very nice. The journey is quite long, but it’s worth it. Santiago de Compostela is beautiful, the lunch was great, and Valenca is adorable.
