This was the first walking tour we did on our trip in Athens, and it was a very nice introduction to the Acropolis and a few other locations. The pace of the day was nice and relaxed, and there wasn't too much information that it was hard to retain at all. I messaged with the company ahead of time, and all of their responses were very timely and courteous which was appreciated. We had a great time and a smallish group of about 15 maybe - we did the morning tour, and there was plenty of groups of students at the Acropolis making it quite busy (as to be expected with various March Breaks/Spring Breaks) and at times a little hard to hear the guide if you weren't very close. We had some time at the Parthenon to take pictures, but might have liked some time at a few of the others. The meeting point is right at the Olympeion (Temple of Olympian Zeus) - the entrace is on the other side, but it would be easy to visit there ahead of time if you got the combination ticket. Online suggests 1 hr for this, but 30 mins is more than enough time, and leaves you time to get back to the start of the tour. The tour does leave RIGHT on time though, so be aware of that. Personally, I would have like more information and myths - but it was a group tour, so that was a risk we took. :)

Elisabeth is a very friendly and experienced tour guide, with heaps of information about Athens, the origins of food and knowledge of the culinary places that the locals visit. It was a pleasure to listen to her stories and not only had she introduced us to new places, she also taught us how to drink Greek coffee, the right way.

The guide was fantastic and food even better. Our guide looked out for everyone in our group taking into account food preferences and allergies. He was knowledgeable and fun. Highly recommend this activity!

We did the Athens food tour with Elena as our guide. It was wonderful! We learned about how the locals eat and about the city as well. The food was delicious and the olive oil tasting was informative and fun!

Andreas was an excellent tour guide. I learned so much about modern and ancient Athens and Greece, and how it connects together. It was a long tour but there was so much variety in what we saw and talked about that I didn’t notice the step count at all! Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic private walking tour of the city with Nikos. We explored different neighbourhoods and our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had great chats about Greek life, history, culture and politics. Very impressed by the food market and the street art! Nikos gave us great recommendations of restaurants, wine bars and what to visit. it was just a beautiful way to explore the city.

This was an excellent tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and told us not only about all the food we tried, but also about some of the history of Athens & Greece and the background to many of the Greek and Mediterranean food dishes. The food was varied and very good. We learned a lot. Would recommend.

Absolutely excellent walking tour. Elissavet our guide was brilliant, she was very knowledgeable about city and the locations we visited, but was also able to answer our many questions on current Greek culture and what it’s like to live in Athens. Couldn’t think of a better way of understanding the city, beyond all the usual tourist destinations.

What a great tour! Our family of four took this our first day in Athens as a sort of orientation to the city and the neighborhood around our rented apartment, and we had SO much fun. We learned a lot, saw some great stuff, and had fun and interesting conversations with our guide as we walked. Loved it loved it loved it. Not cheap, it's true -- but worth every Euro. Five stars for sure.

We had a lovely tour with Simos. He took us on a leisurely stroll around Athens visiting lots of different traditional Greek food outlets. It’s almost too much to remember and certainly to detail in a review but the tour took over 3 hours and included sweet and savoury treats, even an olive oil tasting! Simos was a brilliant guide, he was knowledgeable but also had personal experiences and stories to add to the experience. We’ve had a few food tours in various European cities, this one compares very favourably. Excellent value! Highly recommended.

As a Greek Mythology enthusiast, I would highly recommend this tour! It was super fun and also informative. There was an amazing mix of Greek myths and true history. It really brought all of the sites to life. Our guide Demeter, was amazing! She shared so many stories and so much knowledge in an animated, interactive and fun way. Great walk, we had a private tour from a very friendly and knowledgeable local, with lots of great street art and also great talks about local culture, politics and life in general. Perfect!

Elena was a wonderful guide. She included all participants throughout the tour and gave us an insiders view to the neighborhoods. I particularly liked her style and leaving us with a memory of what distinguishes each neighborhood from the other.
