Wonderful Streetphotography Workshop with Socrates Baltagiannis, exploring Athens a bit aside from the usual tourist areas. Socrates is a great photographer, a very nice person and a great teacher. I had a lot of fun and got some great photos from this morning!

FANTASTIC tour !! We stayed in wonderful, friendly small hotels, ate amazing food, and had great opportunities to shoot photos. Maria and Socrates provided the best experience ever. I felt so well taken care of! I have lots of photography experience and actually didn't except to learn a lot about photography, but I did learn quite a bit. Wonderful experience!!

Had an amazing day with Socrates. Not only did he adjust my photography technique to get the best street photography shots, but, even more, shared some of his favorite 'people places' to experience Athens from a local's perspective. His professional pointers on colors, angles, people and framing are priceless. Was able to continue shooting the rest of the day. And having him explain more history and culture was bonus. Would totally recommend!

We had the most fantastic trip ever. Our photo Socrates was the best and we never would have seen Greece like we did without him. I highly recommend this tour and Socrates. This was the best vacation we have ever taken. BRAVO !!!!

A "local" photographer guide is essential in every photography tour- they know some more other tidbits not found in books. The reason why we went with this tour. Socrates , our guide got us into the "other" nooks and crannies of Athens- areas we would have not gone into otherwise. Socrates is very accommodating, knowledgeable, and protective- shooing potential local "accosters". We truly appreciated your time Socrates! Although we did not get to all the "other" interesting photo-worthy sites during the tour we got more practical information on how to get there on our own. Thank you- Tom (& Adora tagging along)

My workshop with Greece Photo Workshops was in Santorini. My accommodations were very nice and, of course, the food was wonderful. Most of my photo activity involves wildlife and I'm more comfortable trying to capture a lion at the correct moment than a town from the right point of view. Having a professional photographer's guidance made my photos something I want to hang on my wall. A wonderful experience.

Nikos and Maria provided a great photography experience. Maria arranged our tour seamlessly and accommodated any of our asks (e.g. stay in one town a little longer). Nikos provided advice and was patient with walking through how to get shots and techniques for lighting and framing. Every night we had a photo review session where we could examine our photos from the day and perhaps areas for improvement. I thought this tour was all encompassing and exceeded all my expectations.

We could not have been more pleased with our 9 day photographer tour that included Athens, and the islands of Mykonos, Delos, and Tinos. Maria’s warm, thoughtful design and coordination of agenda and logistics, combined with the extraordinary skill and knowledge of photographer Nikos Kokkas made for unforgettable experience for my wife Sally and myself. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then perhaps the advice Nikos gave to me on our journey through Athens will be worth a thousand better photos. Little did I know my guide would arrive, not only a humbling stack of credentials, but also a warm heart, insight to my particular areas for improvement, and the talent of deep articulation to help me. Nikos gave me many things in our 4 hours, not the least of which was his honesty. I was thrilled to come away with a few good photographs, but by far the most valuable part of my trip was the wisdom of my guide. I would happily pay 10-20 times the price for this experience. The Greece Photo Workshop with Maria and Nikos was one of the best if not the very best that I have ever attended. The workshop included: Athens, Meteora, Mykonos, Delos & Tinos. The personal attention and counselling was off the charts. Not only did I feel that I was given very helpful guidance to broaden my use of visual and photo capabilities the photo tour took on a very personal connection that formed a bond of interactions. We had a wonderful tour of Mani, Greece, with the photographer, Nikos Kokkas. Working with him we individualized our workshop to suit our needs. Nikos knows the area well; the sites, the history, the food, the people. And since he is an excellent photographer and teacher much was learned and absorbed. Oh! And t here was much laughter! The secret was to listen to Nikos when he says “you are in charge”. It’s easy to overdue it when there is so much to be experienced. The company had us in a beautiful hotel on the sea.

This photo tour was amazing! We're two photography amateurs always searching for off-the-beaten-path places to capture and our guide helped us do exactly that in Athens. After a few hours with this talented guide, we learned so much about photography and how to truly capture the bustle of a cosmopolitan city like Athens. He took us to so many places we definitely wouldn't have found on our own. We're very happy we came across this tour with someone so experienced. We had the most enjoyable time with him. We'll definitely do this again next time we're in Athens!

Athens September 2020 I was pretty surprised and excited by my photo tour in Athens with Menelaos. I was thinking about taking some pictures of the city while walking around in a break from a short business trip in Athens, when I decided to do it next to a pro. It turned out to be one of a kind experience. Menelaos really helped me broaden my perception in photography and shared a lot of good tips and techniques in just a few hours photo tour. Plus? I discovered places that I wouldn’t have found by myself. Such good luck to come across these tours and pros!

Greece Photo Workshops linked me up with Menelaos for a very memorable, enjoyable and insightful few hours exploring photography in Athens. The tour was felt adapted to my interests (ie. not a cut and paste experience) and it was very rewarding to spend time talking and practicing photography with such an impressive professional photo-journalist. I learnt a lot in just a few hours and came away from the experience with a new enthusiasm and new ideas about how to develop and improve my photography in the future. Menelaos is great company too and really provided a highlight to my first visit to Athens. I would highly recommend the tour, especially if you are looking to take your photography to a new level.

My daughter and I had an amazing experience on our Athens photo tour with Nikos. He has an immense knowledge about photography and all aspects of it. My teenage daughter learned so much and had a blast doing it! She has a strong interest in street photography (which Nikos is an expert in) and really helped her come out of her shell. We’re are so impressed with our photos and can’t wait to share them with our friends and family back home! I highly recommend this experience.
