Angie at Your Cretan Local was such a wonderful tour guide. We experienced a great day exploring Crete. I was travelling with my Mum who has walking constraints and Angie adapted our tour to cater to her mobility and our interests. I would not hesitate to recommend this experience, when in Crete get in touch with Angie!!!

This tour was by far the highlight of our time in Crete and Greece as a whole! Angie curated the most perfect experience, and we were able to see things we wouldn’t have known about otherwise. The folk museum was probably the most unique part of the trip as I have never experienced a museum like that, and the curator of the museum was amazing- he even gave us Raki at the start of the tour! The gorge was absolutely stunning, and swimming in the ice cold water was probably the most invigorating thing I’ve ever experienced. To top it off we went to the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen in my life and were able to relax after climbing the gorge. Then we went to lunch and had probably the best (and cheapest) Gyro in all of Greece. Angie kept us laughing the entire time, and I promise you when we come back to Crete we’ll be having Angie plan our entire trip! Even if you don’t go with this specific tour make sure to have Your Cretan Local plan something for you, or you’re going to miss out on the best time of your life!

We only had 1 full day on Crete so we booked this tour to make the most of it. Little did we know that we were also going to meet one of the most amazing tour guides as well! Angie was so down to earth, knowledgeable about each stop, and so much fun to spend the day with. The destinations were absolutely gorgeous and we also met so many other amazing locals along the way. This tour had us talking about our one day in Crete more than any of the days spent on other islands. I cannot recommend it enough!

I can’t recommend Angie the owner of Your Cretan Local highly enough! She is a local of course and really has a way of planning a perfect day for you! The day she took us to the Kanakis Olive Mill and Dourakis winery was the best day of our already fabulous trip on this magical island. Absolutely worth every penny, you won’t be disappointed.

Aggeliki was the most fun and creative tour guides we have ever had. She showed us some incredible locations (Lake Kournas where we paddle boated and saw native sea turtles, a local olive oil factory where we saw exactly how olive oil is made in this region and did a tasting, and finished with a five-wine tasting and lunch at a gorgeous winery). She took the best photos of us, and would never let us try to take selfies on our own. Now, we will always remember the great time we had through the photos she took of us. Highly recommend!

Trip was wonderful! Maria our guide was professional and very informative! All the areas we visited were spectacular especially the beach! I would recommend this tour very highly on your trip to Crete!

A most wonderful day!! The itinerary organized by Angie makes for a well balanced, unique and very memorable day. The waterfall adventure and Kalypso beach are truly once in a life time experiences and the charming village stops make the perfect accessories. These locations are not that easy to reach on your own as a tourist so having a driver is very helpful. Angie is also a gem of a person- very thoughtful and great fun to talk to! She provided lots of great insights and recommendations. If you’re debating whether or not to take this tour, save yourself the trouble and just do it!

Lovely to see Agge again. Once again a lovely warm welcome. First stop was a village and it was so relaxing walking around with her. She seemed to know the whole village. We all sat and had coffee chatting about the Cretan traditions. The small museum was bought alive but the enthusiastic curator who we shared an Ouzo with. Then onto a gorge and beach stop travelling through the most amazing scenery. She got our youngest in the sea snorkelling. Lunch was at a very traditional family run Cretan restaurant where Gyros was consumed. Agge is now a friend. Highly recommend her trips.

I don’t even know where to start. We were greeted warmly and punctually. The entire trip was perfectly tailored to us and customized. Aggeliki spoke several languages, which allowed us to have great conversations and a lot of fun together. Along the way, there were small gifts that made every moment even more special. I can only recommend it to everyone and I’m already looking forward to the next time!

This was a wonderful tour! Angie is very knowledgeable, and we had such a fun day with her as a group of young girls! Angie was very accommodating, we did not feel rushed and we had the perfect amount of time at each stop. She also took us to great places for breakfast and lunch. This was such a great trip! Our guide Angie was amazing! She picked us up in the morning and explained to us the plan of the day. After visiting the beautiful Kournas Lake we went to the Kanakis olive oil farm. It was so informative! We finished off at the Dourakis Winery for wine tasting. After getting the incredible tour of how they make and store wine, we had the most delicious lunch out on their patio. I highly recommend it. Thank you so much Angie for such a wonderful day!

This trip was absolutely Amazing!!!! I cannot say enough how much my family and I truly enjoyed every minute. Angie made our short time in Crete unforgettable. The day before we had a pretty rough day hiking the Samaria Gorge. We were all sore and we just needed a day to relax. My husband and I considered canceling, because we were so tired. BUT I'M SO HAPPY THAT WE DIDN'T!!! This day trip with Angie was our best day in Greece, and we spent 12 days and went to 3 islands. We made so many memories that day. As soon as I met Angie and I introduced my family, I asked if we could skip the small hike, and if we could get some coffee and have a nice breakfast. Angie truly went above and beyond to meet our needs. When we go back to Crete, we will have Angie by our side again! The breakfast, museum, the beach, lunch, the olive oil tasting, everything was gorgeous and delicious!!! Everything was so authentic from the food to the people. We shared so many laughs, learned about the island, there culture, and left Greece with a new friend 🧡. We can't wait to go back again and again!!! Please don't hesitate to go on this day trip, it will exceed your expectations and will be the highlight of your time in Greece!

Angie was one of the best travel guides I’ve had while traveling - her English is fantastic and she made the whole touring experience extremely enjoyable for both my sister and I, being able to answer all of our random questions and explain to us a lot of the history/mythology in Crete. Would highly reccommend!!!

Our full day tour around Crete allowed us to see all the amazing sites the island has to offer! We started our tour visting Spili village, where Aggeliki brought us through the village market and the village museum. From there, we took a beautiful scenic route (making a few pit stops for photos) to see the waterfalls and gorge, then visited an olive oil manufacturer and had a tasting (purchased some delicious products), and finally ended in Chania for sight seeing and lunch. One of the many reasons we loved our experience was how personalized Aggeliki made it - she asked us our preferences and priorities as to what we wanted to see, and incoprated this throughout. As we traveled around the island, Aggeliki shared all the stories, history, and mythology relative to the specific sites. Her English was incredible! I highly recommend this tour, it was very well thought out and planned, with the perfect mix of guided and independent time!

Wonderful tour. Aggeliki makes you feel like friend or family when she drives you around. She knows the island and its history in great details and she always has a fun fact to share. Aggeliki has rare listenings skills and is eager to match your needs (we wanted to visit quiet spots and avoid crowd: she took us exactly to the right places). She also perfectly adjusted the planning according to the cloudy slighlty rainy weather that day. Aggeliki speaks perfect English and German.
