    I enjoyed!!
It was a little hard to hike through an unshaded volcanic island under strong sunlight, but it was a fascinating experience to see sulfur gas seeping out from under the ground. It was fun to visit not only Santorini Tira Island but also the surrounding volcanic islands and see the magnificent view from the sea.

    Great value for money
It’s great value for money. It covers everything and not too rush either. I took the last trip of the year, which is in early November. Sea water might be cold for some people. Overall it’s good trip

Truly amazing experience at a great value for money
This was an amazing experience. As if sailing round the Caldera wasn’t enough the stops were all fantastic. Our guide Spyros was lovely, we didn’t know that the tour was guided so that was a nice surprise, he was very knowledgeable which we absolutely loved. The trip is fantastic value for money. I would highly recommend

This was a great value boat cruise
I paid extra to be picked up at the tour office in Fira. I didn't expect so many people to be on coach or even on the boat cruise. The were two boats. The English speaking group was split into two, one with the English/ Spanish boat and the other on the English/French/ German speaking boat. The was plenty of seating on each boat and everyone could get a good view and shade. Our guide, Spiros seemed to be extremely comfortable in English/French/ German and could even tell jokes in each language. For 5 Euro, the hike up the volcano was worth it. It's about a 25-30 minute walk up. It's not that high, nor steep but a lot of the path consists of volcanic stones/sand so I would wear shoes with decent grip and protection. I wore trainers. Also bring sunscreen. The views from the top of the volcano are very good and you can see the surrounding islands which formed the caldera. Spiros explained to us some of the history of the volcano. Next stop was the hot springs of Palea Kameni island. The said you needed to be a strong swimmer and the swim was about 60m. I stayed on the boat to watch but it seemed to be more than a 60m swim to me although they do supply swimming noodles and from what I gather there's a rope after about 20m and rocks that you can put your foot on. The water is cold and the hot springs aren't that hot. Also do not bring a light coloured swimming costume as it will get stained by the minerals. Lunch at Thirasia Island was good. I had a swordfish souvlaki. Good views from the steep walk up the hill. This was a very good value boat cruise. I would recommend this trip,

    Great
Enjoyed the boat ride from island to island, hiking around the "active" volcano, jumping into the ocean and swimming towards the hot (but actually cold this time of year) spring and ending of at the final island for lunch. Minor downside was guide was selectively friendly towards guests and downright aggressive to one guy (for good reason as he wasn't sure which boat he belonged to but still).

    Very good trip
Excellent trip although I would have preferred slightly longer in the hot (warm) springs and less time on Thirassa. Toilet isn’t great on the boat.

    Fantastic day out!
NO 1 TIP! - If your staying in Perissa, dont pay for transfers or buy the excursion on the streets. Instead buy the trip directly on tripadvisor and hire a little car for the day which cost 35 euro. Its cheaper, its a nice little drive, the car parks are free and you can venture on to oia for the evening to see the sunset which isnt much further. Well worth going, the volcano isnt quite what you think it to be and the hot springs arent really hot, but honestly its a great day out on a pirate ship. I enjoyed the hike to the top and the swim to the springs was gorgeous. The trip also takes you to Thirassia for a few hours which was on my to do list anyway so all worked out great. The only real criticism i have is the guides are italian or french so its very hard to actually follow what their saying when your in the blistering heat with a load of people crammed together trying to listen. All in all a fab day and probably best thing I did during my time on Santorini.

    From Santorini back to Strongli
Great experience! Guide did an excellent job explaining all the details about the vulcanic eruptions on Santorini Islands which once was one big round island instead of 3 seperate ones. Staff was punctual and offered us an amazing 6 hrs with wonderful views.

    Fantastic cruise .
The sunset cruise was great . The boat was very smooth & the crew were very friendly ( apart from the girl behind the bar) . The cruise was very smooth. We stopped at the volcano . It’s a steep walk up to the top but the views were breathtaking . You pay €6 to go onto the volcano. We then went onto the warm sulphur springs. The water in the springs section was very warm . Word of warning ,west very old swimwear that you can afford to throw away . The sulphur turns your swimwear brown. Also do not wear any jewellery . Then stopped to have a buffet on the boat before moving off to see the sunset by the volcano which was beautiful. The buffet was surprisingly yummy and filling. And you are given wine or water. It was suppose to be a 5 hour dsy but ended up a 8 hour day.

Our tour guide Constantine carried a lot of knowledge about Greece which made the experience ten times better. Not only were the views amazing, but we got to know more about the history of the island as well. I would definitely recommend people to take this tour because the experiences were phenomenal; swimming in the volcano hot springs, actually climbing the volcano, swimming in the Aegean Sea, and of course the famous Oia sunset.

My friend and I had a generally good experience on this tour. We wonder whether more clarity should be offered regarding appropriate footwear for the volcano tour, as some people were in flip-flops, as well as the level of fitness as it was quite difficult, particularly in the hot weather. The volcano was very pretty! The tour guide gave us a description of the crater, however, then let us continue the hike independently, where we had to be back for a certain time. Ensure you allow enough time to walk up as well as to walk back, as it may take longer than you think. The hot springs was very lovely and cooling experience after all that heat, however, we would have appreciated more time swimming, particularly as there was a long queue to get in the water. One of the boat crew was very gentle as we got on and off the boat, which showed sensitivity and care towards the passengers. There was a bar on the boat, where you could purchase different drinks, including a nice slushie, which seemed reasonably priced. There was also a toilet, although we did not use this, so can't comment on that. Overall a good experience, particularly given the price.

Arrived in fira santorini's capital for the tour, what a stunning place. Meeting point was super easy to find and the staff on the boat were very friendly and informative. When we arrived at the volcano the tour guide was very informative at the first stop then allowed us to wander up to the top in our own time. Views were amazing and the hot springs were strangely wierd (floating rocks and brown) highly recommended the trip 3hrs was perfect amount of time. Wear a dark swimming costume/board shorts. Sulphur turns it light colours brown

We took the 3 hour volcano & hot springs tour. We arrived at the old port via the cable car from Thira which is a good option as long as there are not too many cruise ships in port that day. There’s an app you can download to see how many are in. The old port is used to bring cruise ship passengers to Santorini & the vast majority go up the cable car 36 at a time every 10 minutes. Otherwise it’s a 30 min walk up/down the steep caldera in the hot sun or a donkey ride.
The tour boat was nice & motoring in the waters beneath the caldera was very picturesque. The boat had water & drinks on board for purchase. We also had a very knowledgeable guide on board who conducted the tour.
First was the volcano hike up to the active crater. Time allowed is 30mins each way & there is an entrance fee of €5 per cash person when you arrive. The 30 minute hike up is very brisk & steep on uneven surfaces so a very good level of fitness & stability is required. Take water & wear sensible hiking footwear. When you get there the landscape & views are lovely but there is not open crater or lava to see, just the occasional wisp of steam. You can put your hands inside a little cave to feel the heat.
Next is the swimming trip for 30 minutes at the hot springs. The boat stays about 50m away so the springs need swimming to. Take the offer of a pool noodle - it makes the whole experience easier. The regular water temp is quite cold - around 19 degrees Celsius - and the “hot” springs warm the surrounding area up 3 or 4 degrees. Warm springs is a better description. Don’t wear your best new swimwear as the sulphur water may stain them. Take your own towel.
All up it was a worthwhile experience for the price paid.

The Caldera Boats volcano tour and hot springs is exactly as they describe. Its a relatively quick and efficient tour of the volcano, great for those with a packed itinerary or are time poor while on the island. The boat was comfortable and they provide an onboard bar with reasonable priced drinks, which are crucial any time during summer. Defiantly take their recommendation and wear dark swim clothing for the hot pools.

Excellent boat trip with the wonderful guide she was. So helpful and informative she made the trip so enjoyable especially climbing up the volcano to here all the facts and history was amazing
The hot springs is a perfect way to end the trip as you get to jump in the sea and relax in the springs.
I felt safe and relaxed on the boat the guy on the boat works hard he is definitely the captain
The trip is well worth booking if you enjoy walking do listen to what’s required as you do need sensible shoes water and a hat it’s very hot
Anna was such a wonderful guide who works extremely hard
Thank you for a fabulous boat trip

We walked down the steps into Fira port to get the boat, it’s about 20-25 minutes down. Tour started promptly at 11.00am, the boats were very full. Short trip across to the volcano, 25 - 40 minutes to walk to top, which was of moderate difficulty, wear trainers. Back onto boat, then to swim in the warm lagoon for 30 minutes. The trip was 3 hours total, water and drinks on board to buy, and a toilet.

Multiple cruise ships dock in the port, the cable car is the only route up into Fira, unless you want to take the steps (500) or a donkey. The cable car is 6 euro one way, and takes 36 people at one time, usually you will wait 30-50 minutes in the queue, due to volume of passengers from cruise ships. The cable car operators can’t count to 36 and let many cars go up half empty. That was slightly irritating after waiting in the heat

This was a nice boat trip out to the Caldera and hot springs, however we were never really even given a chance to leave the boat at the hot springs. One of the crew came upstairs and said we were pulling into the hot springs bay. Another traveler pronounced she did not know how to swim and would not be getting in. Next thing we know, we're pulling out of the bay to go to the next stop. I had 2 issues with this: first off, we booked the trip expecting a stop there and they should have honored that if even one guest wanted to, which they did not know since they didn't ask. It is the off season so there was only like 12 of us on this ferry that head a capacity of like 150. Second, the info on trip advisor when we booked stated that the hot springs would be the 2nd stop, which would have been much preferred. No one wants to hike when they are wet and that would have been a factor had we actually been given the chance to get off the boat at the hot springs. It was still a nice, inexpensive way to see the bay and get over to hike the caldera but there was a definite lack of customer service and communication.

As with every review you will read good and bad about this excursion. My husband and I just did this today 8/22/23 and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were warned about doing the 2:30pm trip because of the heat but I think the heat is an issue this time of year no matter when you go. Just be prepared! Closed toe workout shoes are a must! Don’t wear sandals! . And be prepared to wait in line over 2 hours to catch the cable car down to the boat or be adventurous and walk down the 600 steps in about 30 minutes. Take lots of water and wear a hat and enjoy the adventure. Georgia was our guide from start to finish and she was exceptional! The boat ride to the volcano is only about 15 minutes but enjoyable. The hike to the top of the volcano is a little underwhelming but Georgia’s enthusiasm and knowledge made it all worth it. It’s hot and rocky but the views from up top are worth it! And then on to the hot (more like warm) springs are a must! Don’t be a wussy and stay on the boat. Dive in and cool off and enjoy!! Wear a black swimsuit as the sulphur could stain lighter colors. We were back at port in exactly 3 hours and decided to enjoy a nice traditional Greek meal and sunset from below. Taking the cable car back up at 8:00pm was no problem at all with no lines. We highly recommend this trip and it’s well worth the minimal cost!

We were so much looking forward to this but most of us on board were left disappointed. No atmosphere and drinks were in very short supply, so much so one of the other guests took it upon himself to be the waiter for most of us. The chicken was so dry it was inedible which was a shame as it smelt SO good when it was cooking an hour before it was served.
However the gripe from all of us was that we were VERY rushed at the hot springs only to sail to the black beach for the last two hours by which time it was in the shade and NO ONE got off the boat. The sunset didn't really happen due to cloud which was unavoidable but the atmosphere by now was so low and miserable it was like a wake!!!
