RHODES-KEEN FOR TOURISTS TO LEAVE SO THEY CAN START THEIR HOLIDAY!
New, for me leaving a review but I want to warn others who may look to travel to Rhodes, October half-term week. Don't go-choose another destination as Rhodes closes down 1/2 way through the week ready for winter. The 5 * all -inclusive resort AKTI IMPERIAL, Ixia has the same approach, they close down sections each day into your holiday and withdraw more & more of their facilities, pool bars, restaurants etc. The 'tourist tax' charged for the 7 night stay rubs your nose in it! Very disappointing and a rip off as they charge 7 nights but offer only 5 nights full-service.

      Somewhat Valuable
I thought it was a useful tour that went into too much detail about objects in the rooms at the castle that really had very little to do with the period. I was able to download the tour without issue and did find some of the information valuable. That said, my two teenagers didn't like the tour and abandoned it after just a few minutes.

      Stunning historic site
Lindos is a beautiful place and the Acropolis is the icing on the cake. We took the longer more gentle slope to the top relieved that on our visit it wasn't too hot! The entry to the site is quite uneven and the stairs up to the top have an open side and no handrails so be careful as it's a health and safety nightmare but worth the climb. Also there are no toilets! Loads of lovely restaurants and bars in Lindos to gather your thoughts

Was the most memorable and beautiful part of our holiday
I have no words other than beyond beautiful and stunning! You MUST visit Lindos and come here. It's breathtaking. Please do NOT get a donkey up. They are not watered or fed properly and to carry people all the way up is the heat is cruel. We listened to another review that said when you go up you will notice a queue of people and you must walk past them all right to the top, up some steps and all the way to the gates. Someone will be there to scan your code. You only get your tickets to download (do before you visit due to no signal) once payment has come out. It's a narrow path so you cannot see ahead and just have to walk past. Some people made comments but we just explained we got skip the queue and they were fine. Definitely get this as you do not want to be waiting in a long queue in the blazing sun

      Acropolis-Lindos
Worth the walk up the stairs and entrance fee, for the view all around. Even 17 year old was half price!

Super fascinating! Do your homework first!
Could have used more real time explanation (placards, etc). Would be a simple thing to do. Otherwise, you really need a guide to get the full effect

      Impressive building, disappointingly presented.
The building itself is impressive in stature & features, but the two ‘permanent exhibitions’ one of which was the billed ‘2400 Years of Rhodes’ that we were particularly interested in were non-existent! Padlocked glass doors to empty room spaces & other locked doors were all we found for 15 mins. Eventually found correct route for the parts that were still accessible to visitors (poorly signed) & this was simply a ‘circular’ walk through the upper rooms/corridors - soon became repetitive & uninteresting. Sorry but in our opinion not an experience worth the entry fee.

      No signs for E-Ticket entry
Audio account of acropolis is good, although you can get a little confused as to exactly where you are during the audio tour. Please note - there are no signs to tell you that if you have an E-Ticket you can head straight to the gates (you only see the queue upon your arrival) and therefore you can feel conscious that you are walking past people in the queue. The gates are past the ticket booths which are up the steps past the entry arch. No e of this can be seen upon your arrival as you just see people queuing.

      A must-buy for the Acropolis
Lindos Acropolis is a must-see if you are visiting Rhodes. Despite its beauty, the tour truly enhances the landmark by giving information about everything you see around you helping you understand its usage and importance in its prime. A true must-buy for anyone looking to relate to the monument.

      A staggering experience
The palace of the grand master is astonishing on its own, but what really makes a difference is this self guided tour. It felt amazing walking around having my personal tour guide explaining to be all sorts of things and with such amazing content. Definitely recommended.

      Too expensive
Very expensive guided tour app, for same information also availaibe in the castle. 11.99 euro's each person without the castle entree was too much. The People working at the castle didnt even know about this guided tour from TripAdvisor.
