Wonderful day tour. Dimitris was an excellent driver and guide. We saw the highlights of the island. Stopped at many beautiful places for pictures. He suggested add-ons to the day. Enjoyed the boat trip to the cave and wine tasting. He is very flexible and knowledgeable on what to see and the time involved. Back to the ship with time to spare. Communication for the arrangements was excellent and timely. Book with Dimitris for a lovely introduction to Kefalonia. You will not be disappointed!

Six of us had an all day private tour of Kelaphonia from our cruise ship with Dimitris, and despite the windy and rainy weather, we had an amazing day. He customized our experience and gave us much information about the geography, the history and the local products that this island is known for. Besides visiting the caves of Drogarati and Melissani, we visited an interesting church/ monastery where the hermit, St. Erasmus, was buried and where there was a nunnery. Then we went to a local family owned business to have a sit down treat of four kinds of wine, along with local cheese, meats and kumquat sweets. If we come back to this island we want to take another tour with Dimitris. He is kind, funny, knowledgeable…and so proud of his island!

Dimitris was wonderful. We did not go to the tourists spots but rather he took us to spots to get a feeling about the island. We saw sea turtles, went to an olive oil tasting and actually harvested some olives. It was amazing. Then we went wine tasting. In addition, Dimitris was very knowledgeable about the island and answered all our questions. One of the best tours I have been on.

I normally do not mention a tour guides name, but Massimo was exceptional. He is very knowledgeable and proud of this amazingly beautiful island, and he continually showed us one spectacular view after another. He took us to some wonderful towns and quiet villages. The caves were fun, but be sure you are good with some pretty steep steps. He obviously loves what he does, and we thoroughly enjoyed his company. We hope to visit this wonderful place again in the future.

My family and I visited Kefalonia and we are SO glad we booked this tour! It was the perfect way to see many of the beautiful sights of Kefalonia in one day. Dimitris was an amazing guide! It was truly such a perfect day exploring all the amazing sights and towns, plus eating some great food!! We could not recommend this tour enough!

He tailored the experience based on my exact preferences and I was able to see and experience so much beauty while also learning a lot about the history of this beautiful island. We had an amazing day with Dimitris. We were in port with MSC cruises and he picked us up in a private vehicle. Given our small group, we were able to see everything the cruise ship excursion offered and more for half the price of an MSC excursion. Our tour guide, Dimitris, was the most accommodating of guides for which one could hope! He took us to all of the sites, Mountain View’s, ruins, towns and villages that we hoped to see, gave us ample photographic opportunities, and kept up a lively and informative narration of the places we visited. We hired him the next day to provide transportation for an excursion in Argostolli and he was on time, and reliable. Of all the side excursions that we took on this trip, Dimitris’ private tour was in the top three — perhaps the very best. We are so happy to have booked with him!

Luckily, my husband and I could take a private tour with Dimitris on the island of Ithaca in search of traces of Odysseus. He showed us the ruins in the mountains of Odysseus’ Palace! This was the highlight of our trip to Greece. Seeing something of Odysseus was our reason for going there in the first place. In a small village, we saw an Italian sculptor working with his maquette of the palace based on extensive research. He reminded me a of seafarer with his penetrating blue eyes. Dimitris also showed us a sacred church and a miraculous shrine on a mountain. We drove through picturesque villages, went to a small museum, had lunch in the port and more. He was the perfect guide!

We had such an amazing time on this tour, it was exactly what we were looking for. We got to meet some incredible people who were genuine and passionate about their business. It felt very personal and intimate to be able to have 1:1 time with the business owners we visited. Dimitris was such a great tour guide as well, you can tell he puts a lot of thought into who he chooses to include as part of the tour. He was great at communicating with us and teaching us about the island! We would recommend this tour 100% to anyone else looking for a true authentic experience with good food, wine and people.

Dimitris was an outstanding tour guide. We had an absolutely magnificent day touring Kefalonia. He is knowledgeable about the island and the service he provided was exemplary. We started our day at the seaside in Argostoli where fisherman sell fresh fish right off the boat and sea turtles swim about. We then visited two different caves, Drogarati and Melissani Lago. Dimitris gave us fascinating history about both caves and got us to and fro in a timely manner. Next we visited Agia Efimia, a beautiful seaside port where we strolled about, shopped and enjoyed the scenery. On our way to Asos, we stopped at the most picturesque part of the tour overlooking Myrtos Beach. Dimitris took beautiful family photos for us and again went above and beyond to share interesting facts about the beach and it’s significance. Our last stop was the charming and stunning Assos port. This is a MUST see in Kefalonia. Again, Dimitris knew all the best spots to get gorgeous family photos and gave us specific spots to walk around and take in the views. I would recommend Dimitris to anyone coming to Athens for a tour or for his professional driving services. He is extremely genuine, knowledgeable and wonderful to work with.

Dimitris was an excellent tour guide we had a full day tour of the island which he planned out and suited us perfectly. Recommend so amazing restaurants in some of the local places with traditional Greek food. He was a careful driver and took time to keep the car cool and air conditioned which was amazing. We also went to the olive press and wine tour with Dimitris which was half day but also had an amazing time took us to the nicest wineries so it was perfect. Thanks we will be back and booking more days out

A special thanks to Dimitri of Kefalonia Tours for a fantastic, personalised tour of Ithaca. We were two couples and he picked us up from our hotel, drove us to Sami port, took care of the ferry tickets and drove us all around Ithaca with stops at Vathi for some shopping and site seeing, the fishing village Kioni, a secluded monastery at the top of a mountain and a swim at Filiatro beach, among other sites. This tour was amazing. We traveled off the beaten path and Dimitris told us the history of the island, what life is like there now, and gave us recommendations for other places to eat and things to do. We loved meeting the people at all three stops. They were so passionate about crafting their olive oil, honey, and wine. It was also the perfect way to pick up souvenirs for family back home that are more authentic than anything in the seaside shops. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for a real experience of the island. And as a bonus, Dimitris even took great pictures of us and sent them to us after the tour.
