- 747leventef0 contributionsAn amazing dayWe went with my fiancé on this trip just a couple of days ago and it was 10/10. The team of the boat was really friendly and funny. They gave really good vibes for the whole trip. The places we has been were beautiful and also the bbq was really enjoyable. The only thing that I noticed is the price is cheaper if you buy the tickets on spot. We bought it online and it was 63€ each of us but on spot it was only 40€. So I would suggest to check the appointments online and buy it when you get there. Thank you for the service we definitely will recommend it to our friends!Written 2 October 2024
- Whitehalltraveller0 contributionsBeautiful scenery! The maximum group size is 6 people but there was only 3 of us so felt like a private tour. You don’t cover the Old Town in detail, so doing a walking tour is an advantage which we had booked too. Getting across the island is best in a mini van as some of the roads were narrow. If you were in the back seats, you may struggle to hear the guide/driver so I would ask that he wears a microphone.Written 30 September 2024
- gregmackinnon980 contributionsAmazingGreat fun, great organizers and captain. Amazing food, stop with the possibility of swimming and unforgettable views. Definitely worth the price and time. Would definitely do it again .Written 24 September 2024

- cliff_taylor20 contributionsNo issues at all, enjoyed the dayWe were with a client meant called Sarris, oldish boat but safe, good bar in an air conditioned indoor area, managed to get outside seats for the whole trip. All was on time, just short of 2 hours at each stop off. Long time on the boat, but what do you expect? Relaxing time, crew were efficient and friendly. Well worth the 32euros.Written 18 September 2024
- KarlL13140 contributionsAwesome experience. The trip was great. The host and crew were fantastic. Lots of time for swim and very good food. The sights and stops made along the way were thoroughly enjoyed.Written 8 September 2024
- Excursion6284250 contributionsDon’t miss this one!Gregory picked my husband & I up at our hotel yesterday exactly at 9, and we were surprised to find he was our private guide for the day. Excellent driving in a BMW 520 with wonderful air conditioning (we’ve been hot the whole 3 weeks weve been touring Greece & Turkey, so decent air conditioning is heaven at this point!). Fantastic itinerary, with some Flex Time for personal choices since it was just us 2. We added in a boat ride to the Caves & the Blue Eye (so cool!) and shopping for everything made from Olive Oil.Written 2 September 2024
- GoPlaces398718759900 contributionsBeautiful Swimming! We had an excellent time on board with Spiros and his crew. Not too many people and we were taken to some beautiful swimming places. The BBQ lunch was absolutely delicious. Thus was a well organised and enjoyable cruise. Worth your money. Enjoy!Written 25 August 2024

- kristinapM7131HS0 contributionsAmazing ☀️Ive booked this boat trip for my friend’s birthday and when i tell you that i made the best choice! The staff was amazing and we had the best time ever. The food was super fresh and delicious on our bbq. The bartender Stefanos always made sure that everyone is happy and made us feel like at home. Captain of the boat was the funniest and warmest guy in the world! If you ever think of booking this trip - don’t think twice and just go for it! Thank you for making my friend’s bday a special day and gave us such an amazing experience. We will never forget that!Written 5 July 2024
- Quantrina10 contributions100% Recommend, Great day outFantastic day out! We had such a great day on the boat trip. Three different swimming spots, which were all stunning and had plenty of time to enjoy. We were impressed with the BBQ food & there were loads of food to go around The crew on the boat were great, really friendly, helpful and fun. Theres selections of soft drinks & water provided which was a nice touch, with beers and donuts also available at the bar for cost. Definitely would recommend this boat trip if you’re visiting Corfu, it was the highlight of our holiday! Even if we did get on the wrong bus to get there a quick jump in a taxi & we made it in time. The staff & family sorted out our transport back to our apartment & were absolutely fantastic. 100% recommend this boat trip. 5*****Written 4 July 2024

- 971aimeee0 contributionsBest trip ever! This trip was fabulous! The hospitality, the knowledge and the culinary ability made this our favorite activity we did on our island hopping week. The crew were engaging, fun and over the top making sure everyone enjoyed themselves. The island spots we stopped at were beautiful and we had time to explore and enjoy swimming as well as laying out on the beach. The lunch was delicious and freshly grilled to perfection. The cocktails and the awesome bartender added even more enjoyment to a perfect day exploring Corfu. We highly recommend this experience!Written 9 June 2024

This is a great way to visit Albania for a day trip. The ferry arrives at Sarrande port where you have the option to remain in the town and relax by the pebble beach / waterfront or go on a paid excursion (€35 per person) to the archaeological site of Butrint. I would highly recommend doing the paid excursion. You get to spend a couple of hours exploring the site which is well protected and presented. Buffet lunch (vegetarian options available) is included at a restaurant on the way back to Sarandë. The buffet is basic but plentiful. Drinks are not included but are reasonably priced. Post lunch we had 90 mins spare time to explore Sarandë which was enough to see this town. The main issue with this excursion is that the immigration queue at Corfu port is diabolical. There are only 2 counters open to check everyone’s passports. So the queues end up being ridiculously long. We were picked up from our hotel in Gouvia at 0805, reached the port at 0820 and waited in the immigration queue for 40 min to board the 0915 ferry . The queue was equally diabolical on the return leg. So, yes, this is an issue with this trip but don’t think the tour operator can solve this unless Corfu port opens up more kiosks to shorten the queuing times. Thankfully, there are no immigration checks performed on the Albanian side. The ferry itself is comfortable, has drinks / food facilities on board and the staff are polite.

Absolutely loved the trip! We got the public bus to Ksamil, (however would recommend renting a car / getting a taxi as the bus took quite a while). Ksamil was beautiful. Once back at Sarandë, we enjoyed a stroll along the front. There was quite a lengthy wait time at border control in Corfu but overall would recommend this trip!

We were collected at 6.40am from our hotel and taken to Corfu Town.
The coach takes you to the port, where you receive a boarding card (you must not lose this as you need to show this to get on and off the boat). Once we were off the coach, it was a bit stressful as nobody really knew where they were going. It is a bit of a hectic time because people are everywhere and pushing to get to places. It took roughly 45 minutes to get through passport control and to get onto the boat. After getting through passport control, you are left to find the boat you need to board. Again, another stressful experience.
At 9.30 am, the boat set sail. There was more queuing involved when you got on. You have to pay for your visa and pay for the guided tour (if you want to do that). It was a 1 hour boat journey. There are some lovely views during the boat the trip, and there is some little commentary of points of interest.
Once off the boat, if you are doing the guided tour, you then separate into spoken languages and board the coach. After 1 hour, we reached the National Park of Butrint. The tour guide showed us around the ancient city and was very informative. We had approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes exploring. I'd recommend bringing a water bottle with you as there is lots of walking involved. I enjoyed the stop here. There is lots to learn and some great historical ruins.
Then, we were driven to a buffet lunch at a local restaurant. We had 50 minutes here. The food consisted of bread, vegetables, rice, meat, and fruit. It was a pleasant lunch. None of the food was labelled, but it was fairly obvious to identify what was what. However, they had no sauce available apart from tzatsiki. Drinks were not included in the price, but the prices of drinks were not extortionate.
Afterwards, we were given 1 hour and 15 minutes to explore Sandara. There are plenty of restaurants along the promenade but not many shops.
Finally, we met the tour guide along the promenade, and he walked us back to the port.
Passport control is absolutely awful!! There is no organisation or queing system. Everybody is just pushing their way to the front and barging you. This is a big downside to the trip as it is very stressful and chaotic. It actually ended our trip on a downside.

It’s a good day trip, boat ride is about an hour each way we sat on the top deck in the sunshine on the way out which was nice and on the first deck where it was air-conditioned and considerably cooler on the way back. Book the additional excursion to see the ruins, very interesting. It was also very hot when we were there and it was a relief to get on a cool air-conditioned coach. The lunch provided was also very good and all in the cost. You will have about two or three hours at the end of the trip to spend on the promenade and seafront we swam in the sea which is great before returning to the boat.
Important to note that you need to switch off your phones roaming setting when the boat leaves Corfu, otherwise standby for some really sporty roaming charges when you get home, we got stung for about £40 with Sky. (that was per phone)
Also make sure you take your passport as this is another country and standby for €15 ahead tourist charge for Albania.
Prices are cheap in Albania, a recommended day out.
One further point, you have to go into the building on the Harbour side behind the fence. You have to go round the front although when you walk up from the harbourside you are actually at the side of the building just go round the front and the trip to Albania is a right turn

It was a fantastic trip indeed but I very long day.
I was picked up from a very suitable location to me and taken to the port.
I went through passport control swiftly and boarded the ship. It took roughly 2 hours to get there, and I opted in to do the tour, which was about 3 hours with a buffet lunch included. We then had free time for 2 hours to explore the city and back on the ship to Corfu.
The issue was on the way back. The ship was nearly one hour late to collect us, and once we arrived at Corfu, it took nearly 2 hours to get through passport control due to long queuing times and 2 ships loads of people arriving at the same time. Then, I had to get on the coach for an hour back to my hotel.
Overall, it was worth it to see such a beautiful country in a day but be prepared for long queuing times regarding passport control in Corfu.

The excursion is great value for money and well worth doing. The ferry to Albania was quick and pleasant and all the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. (Purchase your duty free items in the Corfu ferry terminal as there isn't an opportunity on the way back - if there was I missed it!) The tour guide was extremely informative as we drove to the UNESCO site of Butrint. We had ample time at the site and the views are spectacular. The lunch was pleasant and drink costs are low and there is a great selection of local beers. Following lunch, we were given 2 hours to meander along the promenade before the return trip to Corfu. I highly recommend this trip, Albania seems like it is on the cusp of change and now is a good time to visit.

Apart from getting another country off the list, there's very little else to justify theh 13 hours of your life you'll lose by taking the trip. Albania is pretty dreary, and apart from Butrint there was nothing else memorable. We stopped at the dismal Meditteranee Hotel for mid-morning coffee. It was truly the worst coffee I've ever had. Two hours later we went back! The buffet lunch was pretty bad, and the staff made it clear they weren't pleased to see us again. There's a lot of waiting around, and Greek customs on the return was a 45-minute fiasco. Butrint was interesting, but that's it.

Interesting place to go to visit, a day seemed enough as there isn’t loads to do. The ruins were fascinating, tour guide was so informative and happy to answer questions. Definitely worth doing

The value for money fits. We had booked with hotel transfer for additional fee what capped. Annoying was that the lady was not recognized by the operator at the port (no badge) and only she recognized us wandering as we had the mobile phone voucher open. The only option to book on the ferry Butrint sightseeing in German. Was short notice, so we had to take the 35€/pers. incl. food for the English or 6 hours in Saranda just walking around.

Well organized and informative tour. Tour company made getting in and out of Albania very easy. Tour guide at Butrint was a wealth of knowledge. We could have spent less time there which would have allowed more free time for swimming as beaches were beautiful. Perhaps a tweak to itinerary to afford this? All in all, a good experience

Would I have the option to leave the trip mid-way and then stay the night in albania before returning on my own? Or, could I plan to return with a different tour on the following day?

I can only reiterate what the previous responder said. I didnt pay for the trip to the archeological site and have to say I really struggled to keep occupied for 6 hours. On the plus side I saw dolphins in the sea for the first time.
I booked mine through trip advisor but there are places in most resorts you can book cheaper

hi, I want to book this for my family and I in 2 weeks time. We really want to go to Butrint and Blue Eye as well but I was reading that they don't always offer the Blue Eye part of the trip? Does anyone know how i can check if this is running in advance? A link to the specific website would be amazing!

How much is the excursion to Butrint?
Written 11 October 2018
Not sure if you book it separate, we booked the combined Albania/Butrint tour through the Tui App, was around £55 altogether which included lunch. You can use the app for excursions even if you aren't travelling with Tui.

Hallo,
Ist die Fahrt zu den „Blue eye“ auch möglich? Oder sogar im Preis inbegriffen ?
Bin gerade auf Korfu und wäre an der Tour interessiert.
