- bethr3640 contributionsFood, History and Culture tour of StockholmWe really enjoyed the tour. We enjoyed the Swedish food we sampled and there was a lot of it. Our guide also gave us the history of Stockholm as we walked. The trip was a good introduction to the culture of Sweden.Written 21 March 2025
- sharonwaters220 contributionsStockholm exploredExcellent tour, we were lucky enough to be the only ones on it, with Cotton as our guide. A very knowledgeable guide, with a great insight into culture and food of Stockholm. This was a great opportunity to try foods and drink that we hadn't before, and a great way to explore Stockholm. We would definitely recommend this tour Thank you CottonWritten 10 March 2025
- Ralph D0 contributionsGreat Intro to Swedish food & cultureThere an amazing assortment of foods with very interesting and knowledgeable commentary. Leader walked fast but was very good at keeping group together.Written 6 March 2025
- Liz R0 contributionsStockholm is a cool cityWe really liked Stockholm! Our tour was informational and we learned a lot. But the guide wasn’t local so it didn’t feel as genuine to us (sorry, but true). Would’ve preferred a Swedish or at least Scandinavian guide.Written 2 March 2025
- 173mariettes0 contributionsWalking Food tour of StockholmWe made a last minute booking on our way to Stockholm, with our train being delayed, they were happy to accommodate us. Cotton was a wonderful guide, providing great insights into the food and culture of the city.Written 25 February 2025
- ashryn0 contributionsWell worth doingWe had a fabulous time on this tour. Our guide Kotton was very informative and we not only learnt about Swedish food but also lots of history and interesting facts. The food was plentiful and varied. Would very much recommend this tour.Written 20 February 2025
- pwhol0 contributionsFood and History, A Great CombinationOur guide Cotton took us on a wonderful food and history tour around Stockholm. From vibrant food halls in central Stockholm to a cosy cafe in Old Town we had a great sampling of Swedish favourites and learnt about the city at the same time. Thanks to Cotton for an enjoyable afternoon.Written 20 February 2025

- 632joyk0 contributionsGreat food tourTeresa was really a great guide. We had a lovely time and learned a lot. The food was great! Tried new foods that we've never had, like reindeer and moose!Written 17 February 2025
- Kepolka0 contributionsHighly recommend for people who want to try new foodsReally fun way to experience a little bit of nordic food. We tried some game meat, licorice, and bought some cloudberry jam to take home. I went with my sister, and we had a great time walking around Stockholm.Written 31 January 2025
- OnThe50Yardline0 contributionsConfrontational & MisleadingThe food was excellent that they served, but that is all that was good. They say it’s a full meal but the portions were tiny and I left me feeling like I was nickel and dimed, nothing close to a meal and hungry when it was over. The worst part of it was the guide. I get it, I’m Norwegian-American and show up in a Dale of Norway sweater; the Swedes don’t care for either, based on other encounters I have had, too. But I don’t need to be politically questioned by a host asking if the US even has a welfare program. Of course we do. But we are not a social welfare state with a VAT tax of 25%, nor does the US want to be. We are a capitalist society and make no bones about it. Who wants to hear about that when they are on a food tour, by the tour guide of all people, who was very hard to understand and whose English was sub-par, to boot. Everything I said he was either condescending or outright confrontational. There were only 3 participants including myself and the only nice part was the couple from Australia. The last place we went to was in Old Town and I was staying at the Reisen Hotel, with a room facing the water. I said I liked it a lot but I felt like there were more people working there than guests and it was colder than any other part of the Stockholm. I really like Stockholm but he said I was mistaken and he had never heard of Old Town being colder than the rest of the city. My gosh, how rude can you get? I am staying there and I was definitely colder than other parts of the city and I have been all over the place. And he argues with me about it. It was the worst food tour I have ever been on. The write-up about being a full meal is extremely misleading and the manners of the guide was atrocious. I get it…Europe runs a huge trade surplus with the US while we run budget deficits defending Europe from the Russians and Chinese (and the Swedes barely get approved to join NATO right after the Russians invade Ukraine) and the US does not live close to either of them. The newly inaugurated President threatens tariffs and that is a bit threatening when he campaigns on the fact the party is over for everyone. And no one likes the Norwegians here because who likes their next-door neighbor anyways, that they used to rule and now they are swimming in oil revenues with a pint-size population. I get it. But leave your politics out of my food tour that is overpriced and serve something other than pint-size portions you call a meal leaving me hungry and mentally inferiorated at the end of the disaster!Written 20 January 2025
- nathalienX5264CE0 contributionsNice & pleasantVery interesting and a pleasant tour. Our guide provide us with many info about the culture, history and specizlities of swedish food. We spent a very nice afternoon and tasted good food. We recommend this tour to travellersWritten 13 January 2025
- katrinao7050 contributionsFantastic experience!A lovely day spent with lovely people. I particularly enjoyed trying foods I’d never attempt to buy on my own, most notably bear and reindeer within a busy food hall full of locals as well as salty licorice & fish soup. Thank you for a wonderful day!Written 1 January 2025
- 32mylesf0 contributionsAn all round excellent experience. There was a good variety of food to taste including some slightly challenging items, in particular some of the liquorice, but all of it was delicious. The guide gave a good overview of the foods history and the walk through the city itself was a good interlude between the food as well as a nice guide to the architecture and history.Written 10 December 2024
- Pioneer3212370 contributionsNo ShowWe showed up on time for the tour but the guide was a no show. We contacted the tour operator but they never responded. We did get a full refund which is appreciated but no apology for wasting our time and the round trip transportation cost.Written 9 December 2024

People from Tour in Stockholm told me that tourists rarely book this tour. I hope this changes soon.
It's beautiful, hilly (which just adds to its beauty), old, rich of stories area located just one bridge from the Old Town. 2-hour guided tour has passed as a second. It's full of turns, ups and downs, stories, a few breathtaking views to the city from the top of the hills.
It was drizzling all the time, but umbrellas helped not to notice it.
I would recommend this tour among those for prime choice.

Since no one else came for a walking tour mid week in January, I had the guide to myself! She was very informative and knew a lot about history. At the same time, she made the tour fun by showing me all her favorite eateries and shops in sodermalm. I recommend it!

The tour guide was a no show, after we biked, using Google Maps of the address in the confirmation email (no link provided>)
The event was, instead, at the other end of the metro block. We called the number on confirmation email and told them of the listing mistake and company said they would notify guide of our pending status. When we walked to starting point: no guide!

Hi, is it okay for a ten year old child to do the Sodermalm Tour with me and my hubby? Thanks.
