Food, History and Culture tour of Stockholm
We really enjoyed the tour. We enjoyed the Swedish food we sampled and there was a lot of it. Our guide also gave us the history of Stockholm as we walked. The trip was a good introduction to the culture of Sweden.

      Stockholm explored
Excellent tour, we were lucky enough to be the only ones on it, with Cotton as our guide. A very knowledgeable guide, with a great insight into culture and food of Stockholm. This was a great opportunity to try foods and drink that we hadn't before, and a great way to explore Stockholm. We would definitely recommend this tour Thank you Cotton

Great Intro to Swedish food & culture
There an amazing assortment of foods with very interesting and knowledgeable commentary. Leader walked fast but was very good at keeping group together.

      Stockholm is a cool city
We really liked Stockholm! Our tour was informational and we learned a lot. But the guide wasn’t local so it didn’t feel as genuine to us (sorry, but true). Would’ve preferred a Swedish or at least Scandinavian guide.

      Walking Food tour of Stockholm
We made a last minute booking on our way to Stockholm, with our train being delayed, they were happy to accommodate us. Cotton was a wonderful guide, providing great insights into the food and culture of the city.

      Well worth doing
We had a fabulous time on this tour. Our guide Kotton was very informative and we not only learnt about Swedish food but also lots of history and interesting facts. The food was plentiful and varied. Would very much recommend this tour.

Food and History, A Great Combination
Our guide Cotton took us on a wonderful food and history tour around Stockholm. From vibrant food halls in central Stockholm to a cosy cafe in Old Town we had a great sampling of Swedish favourites and learnt about the city at the same time. Thanks to Cotton for an enjoyable afternoon.

      Great food tour
Teresa was really a great guide. We had a lovely time and learned a lot. The food was great! Tried new foods that we've never had, like reindeer and moose!

Highly recommend for people who want to try new foods
Really fun way to experience a little bit of nordic food. We tried some game meat, licorice, and bought some cloudberry jam to take home. I went with my sister, and we had a great time walking around Stockholm.

      Confrontational & Misleading
The food was excellent that they served, but that is all that was good. They say it’s a full meal but the portions were tiny and I left me feeling like I was nickel and dimed, nothing close to a meal and hungry when it was over. The worst part of it was the guide. I get it, I’m Norwegian-American and show up in a Dale of Norway sweater; the Swedes don’t care for either, based on other encounters I have had, too. But I don’t need to be politically questioned by a host asking if the US even has a welfare program. Of course we do. But we are not a social welfare state with a VAT tax of 25%, nor does the US want to be. We are a capitalist society and make no bones about it. Who wants to hear about that when they are on a food tour, by the tour guide of all people, who was very hard to understand and whose English was sub-par, to boot. Everything I said he was either condescending or outright confrontational. There were only 3 participants including myself and the only nice part was the couple from Australia. The last place we went to was in Old Town and I was staying at the Reisen Hotel, with a room facing the water. I said I liked it a lot but I felt like there were more people working there than guests and it was colder than any other part of the Stockholm. I really like Stockholm but he said I was mistaken and he had never heard of Old Town being colder than the rest of the city. My gosh, how rude can you get? I am staying there and I was definitely colder than other parts of the city and I have been all over the place. And he argues with me about it. It was the worst food tour I have ever been on. The write-up about being a full meal is extremely misleading and the manners of the guide was atrocious. I get it…Europe runs a huge trade surplus with the US while we run budget deficits defending Europe from the Russians and Chinese (and the Swedes barely get approved to join NATO right after the Russians invade Ukraine) and the US does not live close to either of them. The newly inaugurated President threatens tariffs and that is a bit threatening when he campaigns on the fact the party is over for everyone. And no one likes the Norwegians here because who likes their next-door neighbor anyways, that they used to rule and now they are swimming in oil revenues with a pint-size population. I get it. But leave your politics out of my food tour that is overpriced and serve something other than pint-size portions you call a meal leaving me hungry and mentally inferiorated at the end of the disaster!

      Fantastic experience!
A lovely day spent with lovely people. I particularly enjoyed trying foods I’d never attempt to buy on my own, most notably bear and reindeer within a busy food hall full of locals as well as salty licorice & fish soup. Thank you for a wonderful day!

      An all round excellent experience.
There was a good variety of food to taste including some slightly challenging items, in particular some of the liquorice, but all of it was delicious. The guide gave a good overview of the foods history and the walk through the city itself was a good interlude between the food as well as a nice guide to the architecture and history.

      Not good.
Guide never showed up. Waited 15 mins. Contacted Aviator for refund. And went thru their live chat, which was a lot of back and forth. Said they initiated refund but no excuse or reason given for the guide not showing or contacting me prior

The guides (Valentina and a guide-in-training Matt) really saved this tour. Two of the stops were nearly identical with similar pastries and coffee. The first stop was for candy - Salted Licorice and other local favorites.
But what made the tour interesting and worthwhile, was talking to the guides about current life and culture in Sweden. There was a little bit of historical information when we were in the Gamla Stan - but if that is what you are interested in - it would be better to take the Old Town Tour. They do talk about the things you see as you are walking between one stop and the next.
At the last stop on the tour we just sat and talked about many things - it felt like real fika. Very informative and enjoyable.

We showed up on time for the tour but the guide was a no show. We contacted the tour operator but they never responded. We did get a full refund which is appreciated but no apology for wasting our time and the round trip transportation cost.

We had an amazing (and what turned out to be a private) tour! Don't plan on a big meal before or after. We had four stops and found ourselves sharing treats towards the end because we were so full. The tour gave us a chance to learn more about the fika tradition and taste some delightful common Swedish sweets. We also had a chance to try Sweden's fascination with black licorice-both sweet and salty! Enjoy!

Our tour was genuinely everything I hoped it would be and more!! I never write reviews, however, this was a must. Our tour guide Soma was absolutely lovely, so sweet and she made every aspect of the day so fun. She went above and beyond with her knowledge of Stockholm, along with waiting on us and making sure we had everything we needed to be as happy as possible. Each stop was a perfect way to experience all different aspects of the city and I'm now hooked on doing food tours in every city I visit-although I'm convinced nothing will be better than this one! If you are going to Stockholm for the first time and want to fill up one of your days, this is the perfect option for you. Put on sneakers, grab your camera and get excited about not only receiving the ideal tour of the city but for trying amazing food as well! Thank you again! Will never forget this :)
