Fantastic evening in tranquil Finnish forest
Mar 2020
I was lucky enough to squeeze this tour into a flying visit to Helsinki and I highly recommend it to other travellers interested in the outdoors or a Finnish experience beyond the city. From my initial enquiry through to the after-sales service, Jeff at Taiga Times was consummately professional and well prepared. Clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about nature and sylvan Finland, he led a super amble through the national park including a refreshment stop round the campfire. Despite the dark (we each had torches) and slightly spooky vibe at points, I felt completely safe and secure with my guide. I'd encourage any visitor to this beautiful country to 'get out there' and I'm so glad to have discovered Taiga Times, who I'm sure will be taking me on other trips next time I'm in Helsinki.

Nature at night!
Nov 2019 • Friends
This was my first time doing any sort of night time trips and it was SO cool. The forest was really eerie in the night with the moonlight and the wind was making all sorts of strange sounds in the dark.

The walk was really easy and quite short and in the dark it was hard to tell how far we actually walked! Once we arrived at the lake there was a really nice area with benches and a fire pit. Jeff had the fire roaring in no time and we were all huddled around it warming up. We had sausages and something called glogi? A hot drink they have in Finland in the winter which was really pleasant in the cold weather. Awesome experience!!
