Southern Iceland Glaciers, Waterfalls and Beaches Day Tour
From US$99.90
Overview
Most visitors to Iceland concentrate on the Golden Circle, often missing out on the impressive south coast. This full-day tour from Reykjavik is a fuss-free way around the south coast’s attractions, and a convenient alternative to exploring independently. You visit must-sees such as Reynisfja beach and the Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls. Plus, enjoy background on the sights from a guide, and air-conditioned hotel and port transfers in Reykjavik.
What to Expect
After hotel or cruise port pickup in Reykjavik, settle aboard an air-conditioned bus and travel to Iceland’s south coast, famous for its natural beauty.

Head for the small village of Vik, known for its stellar sea views, and walk on the black sands of Reynisfjara beach, admiring its basalt-column cliffs.

Next, continue to the Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Take in the beauty of the fall and walk behind the cascade to Skogafoss, whose waters plunge down a 197-foot (60-meter) drop. Make the most of the many photo ops as the falls and scenery promise some stunning shots.

Finally, take a short walk to the glacier edge of Solheimajokull, a sublet glacier of Myrdalsjokull. The glaciers are constantly moving, and make some of Iceland’s most incredible sights.

Marvel at the sizes of the glaciers before your tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel or another, central location in Reykjavik.

Matt, our guide, did an excellent job, educating us about Iceland. Our driver, Oscar, was also excellent. He kept us on time. Both of them need to be complimented for keeping us on time and still allowing us to pull over a few times for...More

Great chance to see several different items all in one tour. The level of difficulty and how much you get out to see is up to you. I have some mobility issues so I didn't get to see as much as some, but that was...More

Gorgeous views

The black sand beach was beautiful, but the wind was outrageous. Blowing like a hurricane, it made it quite difficult to enjoy for very long - we only hung out for around 5 minutes before we threw in the towel and headed for the coffee...More
