We went on the Golden Circle and Snowmobile tour today 4/1/22. Our tour guide was Hoskuldur who was absolutely fantastic, he was extremely knowledgable and there to help with any issues- we loved his stories! Our driver Stefan was prompt and made sure we stuck to our schedule.

We stopped 3 times on the Golden Circle tour before heading to the snowmobiles at 1pm. There were toilet and food facilities at each stop. The snowmobiles were our favourite part! You are provided with overalls, balaclava, helmet and gloves.

A trip not to be missed, don’t be put off by the price because it was absolutely worth it. Thanks Hoskuldur and Reykjavik Excursions!

Wow - what an amazing adventure, from start to finish, well organised, great guide and driver, amazing sights and of course the highlight the snow mobile adventure! And what a sight and feeling at the top of the glazier! I will never forget the experience! I cannot say enough about this. It is a long day but we’ll worth it!

This was an excellent experience! We had a great time, the tour was brill and the guide was very friendly and informative!
Unfortunately the snowmobiling was cancelled due to bad weather but the guide added a couple of more stops spontaneously to bulk.up the trip which was great!

We enjoyed the rest of the tour but the snowmobiling was not ‘easy’ as advertised. There was a very brief introduction, no opportunity to practise and were told we had to drive fast - no other option alllowed. At this point the forward guide (there was no tail guide although we had been informed minutes earlier there would be) raced off and we were left to struggle to keep up. We rolled the snowmobile on the first corner and hated the rest of the hour. There was very little concern for slower drivers. Interestingly the receptionist at our hotel had been on the same tour and made exactly the same complaint as us. The operators need to take all their clients into consideration and should not advertise it as ‘easy’.

We have just returned form a 3 night trip to Iceland. I booked both transfers and 4 trips with Reykjavik Excursions. I found the communication I received efficient and clear. If I had a question or needed clarification, my emails were responded to quickly and fully. Unfortunately 2 of our trips were cancelled whilst we were there due to bad weather, I received quick E mail notification and details of what to do next. The trips we did experience were brilliant, the pick ups were always on time, buses clean and warm, staff all friendly and knowledgable. Julian our guide for the Golden Circle and Snowmobiling trip was outstanding, he helped to make a very special day even more enjoyable.

What a day -wow!
We had a fabulous day on this tour. We are a family of four with 2 teens and we all loved it. So much to see and very informative guide.
The snowmobiling was fabulous and all the sights breathtaking. Geysers, tectonic plates, waterfalls. A long day but so worth it.

I did this tour with my 10 year old son. The highlight was the snowmobiling. Most of the day is spent on buses, you have like 20-30 minutes at each stop, a little more at the geysers to eat as well. For the snowmobiling itself you need to transfer 2x before getting to the base camp. Trip was worth it, but be prepared for the traveling.
