- June R0 contributionsHighly recommended! If you can only book one tour, book this!Highly highly recommend this tour. Our guide, Adi was fantastic and he went above and beyond for us. We saw the northern lights at the hotel, thanks to him. He was a very safe and experienced driver and extremely knowledgeable about Iceland. The tour itself was well paced and we were so lucky with the weather. There were plenty of restroom stops on the way and Adi always made sure each and every one of us was safe. We felt very well looked after and will book with nice travels again when we are back! Thank you so much, Adi!Written 9 December 2024

- 914callumg0 contributionsThe Golden Circle.Monica, our tour guide was exceptional. Really bubbly and inviting. She was full of information along the way which soon past the little time spent on the bus. The tour operators were also on point. Due to the volcano eruption, Blue Lagoon was shut on the day we booked. They soon emailed us with many options and we visited Hvamsvic- excuse the spelling- instead. We stopped to see the Geysirs and eat a bit of lunch. Food was great though pricey so take enough money!Written 9 December 2024

- shannena4510 contributionsNice Travel - golden circles, Merida crater & blue lagoonOur guide “Filip” was absolutely incredible. The whole trip was just made even better by his banter, humour and general knowledge of the country and places we were visiting, he made everything feel very personal with his choice of songs and jokes. He was approachable, helpful and honestly he made the whole excursion what it was. Absolutely fabulous day, everything was timed well, we had a little disruption with the shuttles to and from the sky lagoon but through no fault of this tour it was just down to the recent events and new procedures. He made sure we were all happy and comfortable and even did his upmost best and succeeded to get another couple back in time to not miss their next northern lights excursions, the odds were against us but he used his knowledge of the best routes and ways to make sure they didn’t miss their trip. A really thoughtful guy, and a credit to the company and their tours, the views were incredible, we felt we got plenty of time in each place, it didn’t feel rushed it was just the right amount of time, plenty of toilet breaks and plenty of time at dinner also. He gave us advice about paths to take, little extras we could see along the way, things he would recommend at the food halls to get a good deal for your money, gave clear instructions. Definitely, definitely worth doing this and hope that you get “Filip” I imagine the others are fab but he just left us smiling cheek to cheek! Credit to you and hope you get the recognition you deserve!Written 8 December 2024

- Anton B0 contributions5* Golden Circle TourThis was an all day tour and was thoroughly entertaining from start to finish. A truly unique experience seeing things that you can’t see anywhere else. Our driver, Walter was both informative and so funny. He has so much knowledge of the area, country and everything we went to see but more than that he absolutely made the tour what it was. ‘Nice Travel’ are very lucky to have him. Highly recommend this tour and is an absolute must before leaving Iceland!Written 8 December 2024

We were so lucky to go on this Snaefelsness tour with Thor!
Thor is the perfect tour guide, funny & incredibly knowledgeable about the area. He shared many interesting facts as well as personal stories that really informed us about Icelandic culture. His description of Seals as black bananas still cracks me up.
I went on this tour with my girlfriend after we’d had several weather related cancellations and this absolutely made up for it.
This tour is less famous than the Golden Circle but it was absolutely beautiful with amazing scenery - I’d recommend it (and Nice Travel) to anyone!
The bus was comfortable and warm, we had plenty of stops to use the restroom and grab food but still managed to spend a perfect amount of time at each of the attractions.

David is a genius. This dude knows everything about everything, not just the mountains, rock formations and volcanoes you'll see on the tour, but every single possible thing that you can think of.
Honestly, the tour was spectacular. We had so much fun. By the end of the tour, David was more a friend than a driver. His driving is great, communication skills on point, knowledge extensive and humor dark :)
The tour started at 8:30, he was there at 8:30. Overall, it was an amazing experience.

I highly recommend this tour. We didn't really want to drive ourselves, and it was nice to be able to just sit back and look out the windows. The scenery along the drive was stunning. The first snow of the season happened last night, and there was a beautiful contrast between the green hills and the snowy mountains. Our guide Egill was informative and kept the tour interesting. He also took us to a great restaurant for lunch where there was fish so fresh it had been on the boat an hour before we arrived. We had such a great time, and would definitely encourage others to take this trip.

My spouse and I took the day trip to Snaefellsnes with Nice Travel at the end of March 2023. We had a wonderful day! Our guide, Maria, was so wonderful and really made the day fun, informative and unique.
The mini bus was very nice, clean and comfortable compared to some other tours we took, which we appreciated for a day with so much driving.
Maria went the extra mile to ensure we had a fabulous experience, from sharing informative stories, to a wonderful lunch stop, and even taking dashcam footage and sharing it with all of us. I am especially grateful that she, hearing about my interest in natural springs, made a quick stop at a natural mineral spring so we could taste the water.
Snaefellsnes was so beautiful, I wish we'd had time for a longer tour! That said, the tour fits in a lot of amazing sights for one day!
Maria managed the needs of all the travellers with care and going with her is what made the day even more wonderful. This was our intro to Nice Travel and we will definitely take their tours again! Please give Maria our thanks for such a fabulous day!

Local Boy Thor regaled us with stories of his family history in the region and used his local knowledge to expertly guide us. Fun, funny and a very good music playlist helped the drive fly by. Nice Tours are just that - nice and give excellent small tours. Snaæfelsnes is incredible and one day was not enough. Thor made sure that what we saw was memorable.

We took the Snaefellnes two day tour as part of a larger 7 day tour with Guide to Iceland. So far this has been a highlight of our trip! Our tour guide Walter was hilarious and so knowledgeable about Iceland. He majored in history and was born and raised here in addition to going to Guide school. Walter kept us entertained and engaged even when the weather was awful out. At one point, we saw some horses on the side of the road so he pulled over the bus and gave us a few minutes to take pictures and pet them. He also built in a few snack and restroom stops so that we would be comfortable during the long day. As an added treat, he gave us each a piece of Icelandic chocolate to try! Would highly recommend taking this tour and specifically taking it with Walter. The man doesn’t stop talking or cracking jokes though so if you’re the kind of person who likes to sleep on bus tours in between tour stops then this isn’t the tour guide for you.

Thank you so much for the fantastic review, Mana.
We're so happy to hear that the Snaefellsnes tour was a highlight of your trip, and it's wonderful that Walter made such a positive impact on your experience. His knowledge of Iceland’s history and his sense of humor really do make the journey unforgettable—even in tough weather! We’re glad you enjoyed the little extra touches, like the Icelandic chocolate and the horse photo op. We really appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back for more adventures in the future. And yes, Walter definitely keeps things lively—he’s not one to let any quiet moments slip by 😊
All the best

What time does this tour finish? Will we be back in Central Reykjavik before 6pm?
Written 1 October 2018
Our tour did not get back until closer to 7:00 but it depends on your specific group. We made an extra stop (our whole group agreed) and we stayed longer than usual at some of the stops.
Written 10 November 2018
Does this tour involve a lot of walking? My wife walks very slowly and requires a cane.
Written 4 July 2018
Getting to each of the stop off areas is by coach. Walks from coach were relatively short but access to the specific waterfalls, beaches, etc. often involved steep climbs up/down. We went in March and so it was slippery and wet, and so felt quite tough physically, but conditions might be better in the summer months... I remember for some of the stop off points there was a choice of different coach parks, with substantial impact on walking distances, so might be worth checking with the tour operators to find out specific plans and whether these might be more suited to you and your wife.
