A very good tour. Pick up at nearby hotel and departure from terminal were on time. Bus was clean and comfortable.

Waterfalls were splendid. Slippery underfoot and of course you get wet!

Glacier hiking was exciting. Anticipate steep climbs and descents on the glacier, not for the timid or those unsure of their balance and footing. Must wear crampons to grip the ice. Anticipate three hours from start to finish on the hike. Bonus-You get to drink glacier water running down the top surface and the guides are excellent-patient and calm.

Not unexpectedly, you spend 5 hours plus on the bus. No toilet on the bus. Stops are made for toilets, food and water. Despite these still absolutely worth it.

The tour is a long day and if you do the Glacier Hike as I did exhausting but well worth the effort. Our tour guide (Jakob) was great with a very upbeat mood, great humour and made the trip enjoyable. There was no rush although we were on a schedule an visited some amazing places. For me the highlight was the Glacier Hike which is run in partnership with another specialist company. The hike was about 2-3 hours in total including all the fitting, prep etc but i felt that the time spent was perfect. You don't need to be an expert but I would recommend that you need a be able to keep going as we pushed on so we could reach the top so you may well ache then next day. The Glacier was amazing and our guide (Olaf) provided good support and information for the hike. South Iceland is beautiful but the hike was the highlight for me.
