This place is a great stop off as part of a longer tour trip in order to revive your tired aching body. The water is filled with natural minerals and doesn't require chlorine to keep it clean.

You can buy beer and soft drinks to enjoy in the spring, but you will have to hold it above the water.

Thank you darthphallus for writing a review of our trip to the Secret Lagoon - this is one of a very special places where thermal waters are in abundance and has been for such a long time. Wish you had joined us for the longer combination with the Golden Circle to enjoy some more of the nature sites

We loved it here , came as part of a trip round the golden circle tour . It was our first stop so pretty quiet
Spotless , never seen such clean changing rooms , quite low key and felt so relaxed and natural
Really hot especially on a windy freezing cold day - so relaxing and beautiful
Definitely bring a waterproof case for your camera / phone we got some lovely photos -you could just pop out with your normal camera though if not and be careful before putting back in locker
We spent 2 hours here which was lovely but made the rest of our tour a bit of a rush - you definitely would need an hour and half I think though to really enjoy it
You can buy drinks to have in the pool if you want or drink in the nice cafe at end
I’ve not been to blue lagoon so can’t compare but would def recommend going to secret lagoon

The lagoon is lovely but the travel to it is over 1 1/2 hours. Sadly we were incorrectly told to be ready for 3.15 when it should of been 3.50 meaning we had only 1 1/2 inside and then were kept waiting in the cold for 1/2 hour. I would recommend doing a combined tour that includes the secret lagoon as the hot springs and waterfall are all nearby. I wouldn’t recommend doing this tour alone.

We travelled through the beautiful winter landscape of Iceland and the hot pool was gorgeous, as warm as coffee and so relaxing. But I particularly want to praise the driver, who had to contend with icy roads and fog and drove safely and even remembered to stop off at a service station so that the "little ones" could go to the toilet.

Our fitst visit to a hot springs in Iceland that did not disappoint. Enjoyable experience in the hot springs with ample room for many people. Enjoyed the easy in and out of dressing area with clear signage for newbies.

As with everything in Iceland, this was an expensive one-hour soak in a not-so-secret lagoon. We had to transfer busses multiple times and sit in a parking lot to wait for another bus to load passengers onto our bus. The lagoon was nice, but most of the day was spent being shuttled around. I don't recommend this tour.

Thank you Judith F for your feedback. It is truly unfortunate that you did not enjoy the visit to the Secret Lagoon. The stay at the Secret Lagoon is always 2 hours and for most that book this transfer and Secret Lagoon only enough to get the idea what our thermal pools in the countryside are like. The combination with Golden Circle may have been a better option for you as this would have included more sites to visit.
