About
Our international airport is situated on Reyknanes peninsula.
yet most our visitors drive straight to the city without experiencing the magic of this youngest part of our country and this is the place where we can basically walk over the bridge between two continents, from North America to Europe. The crack that goes through the Island starts right here. It is ideal to visit the Blue Lagoon on this route.
We will visit Gunnuhver, Brimketill as well as Reykjanesviti lighthouse where the Atlantic ridge rises above sea-level. It is ideal to stop at the small village named Grindavík where people have depended on fishing for centuries.
On our way back we can drive through Hafnarfjörður which is known for being the town of the hidden people. During the summer a Viking festival takes over this little town where people gather from the Nordic country’s all dressed up as Vikings.

About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- jojoma560 contributionsGreat fallsPretty falls. There are several falls to view so walk the loop to see them all. Good views from the top also. Worth the visitWritten 19 November 2023
- colinkeatley0 contributionsSecurity process very strict!Security process leaving Keflavik International Airport (KEF) is hell, because you need to take everything off, your watch, belt, shoes, all things has to go through the X-ray machine, they are very strict (be warned) know what you have to do before hand.Written 6 November 2023
- F4617EQstever0 contributionsFunctional at best but not a great experienceFunctional and a small enough airport to get around in a timely manner. Toilets are limited and not kept very clean. Food is reasonable but expensive and service is slow due to low levels of staffing. Fresh water bottle filling requires a 5-10minute queue as the outlets fill very slowly. Waiting to board is somewhat haphazard and queues wind their way around the terminal. This is a poorly thought through airport design that doesn't focus on easing or improving the customer experience.Written 8 October 2023
- mshapiro990 contributionsContemplative Nature at its Best! These stunning waterfalls were worth the visit by themselves ... we saw them as part of a tour, but the size and beauty against the stark landscape made it worth the visit.Written 14 August 2023
- LoveTravel3282710 contributionsTrip to airportOur driver was amazing! We had done a tour searching for the Northern Lights during our stay in Iceland but sadly did not see anything and were so disappointed. On the way to the airport, we saw them out the window of the car. Our driver pulled over and let us get out, take pictures and even took one of us with the lights behind us and emailed it to me. What a wonderful experience.Written 24 October 2022
- Minkstaa0 contributionsPatheticComplete liars !!! How can we scientifically see northern lights every night but these con artist will have a tour every day and give false hopes that we will mostly see it and waste 4 precious hours of yours every night and in return or in their defence of conning us all they want to say is we can show up again for a free ride the next day ! Which means wasting another 4 hours with these guys and they’re so polite and sweet with their lies that one will most definitely fall for their scam. They will fix your cameras and tell you how to take pictures of the northern lights when they already know the forecast is far far away from the lights and make you feel or raise your hopes as if we are almost there next to the lights. These scammers also have other buses and guides who go in different spots and they collude with them to know what’s happening in other sites, even after knowing the truth that the other sites are a big fail just like their bus tour they will still waste your complete 4 hours just to show that they tried and try to give value to your money also they want to exhaust you so hard that you don’t show up for the next tour. It’s a complete scam. Don’t fall for itWritten 27 November 2021
- Jeannie22070 contributionsBeautiful and unexpectedWe happened upon this place while driving through the valley. It was a huge surprise and really lovely to find. The waterfalls were just stunning. Lots of paths to walk and view the photos and the Lavigne from. There’s also a small cafe and plenty of parking. Really worth a visit.Written 7 October 2021

This was the best tour of my three in Iceland. I was picked up promptly in a smart brand new electric van. The guide was incredibly charming and knowledgeable and we accomplished so much in the time (a bit longer than scheduled, but really worth it) stopping at additional places not on the itinerary. As a private tour it is very flexible and it was nice that this enabled us to hike more than one can do on a group trip and get to see more things and get better vantage points. The Reykjanes Peninsula is incredibly interesting - you get to see so much, and so much more in a shorter time than say the Golden Circle. We hiked to the end of the lava flow from last September, various cliff/bird locations, hot springs, lakes, local villages, bridge between the continents, Blue Lagoon etc.
Would highly recommend and use again myself on a future visit.
