      Fantastic experience, amazing views
Amazing tour! Boat was comfortable and had every amenity needed! The staff were very helpful, knowledgeable and kind. We located a pair of whales and stayed with them for over an hour. They were visible to everyone whether outside or inside the boat!! I definitely recommend this cruise!!!

      A great trip!
My girlfriend & I really enjoyed this trip, the company is great at organising it, they are very well located at the harbour & the nearby car parking is free. The team made a big effort to make sure we all enjoyed the trip & that it was safe. The boat has nice toilets & a lovely cafe for tea/coffee, hot food & snacks. I would recommend this experience.

A sea of inconsiderate behavior and a mist of ambivalence from crew
I will break this review up into two parts. Firstly the whale watching, this in my opinion was by far the worst of the two experiences. When the whales are spotted you better pray you are on the right side of the boat as otherwise you aren't seeing anything. What I mean by that is the other guests will create a human wall blocking you off from seeing what you paid to see whilst they record low quality videos for TikTok. This could be fixed by having a tv screen on the top deck showing you the whales through a camera rather than everyone cramming to the side to block the view. The alternative at the moment is to go downstairs to look for them through plains of dirty glass. The Crew do nothing to make sure everyone gets to see the whales and does nothing to police the other guests during the time on board. It was similar but not as bad on the northern lights tour where we were fortunate enough to see them but most of the guest wouldn't turn their brightness down this then made things worse for the rest of us, again there needs to be a member of the crew actively policing these things in order to insure a better quality experience for all. I would suggest you do a private or small group version of both of these activities so that you can actually see them and not have other tourists inconsiderate behavior ruin it for you. I know the company is not responsible for other guests but they could at least have had someone trying to do something about it. Probably the worst experience I had in Iceland

      Unfortunatly an average experience.
I know they have no control over the whales but unfortunatly it was pretty underwhelming. I also dont think it helped that there were 3 boats out there, the crew did the best they could but it would have been nice if the trip was shorter. We were out there too long especially considering we barely saw anything.

      A whale of a time!
We went out in very cold and choppy waters, but the company provided seasickness tablets for you to take prior to boarding, and I have to say they worked! We were a little disappointed that conditions meant that although we did see two whales, we did not see much of them at all. The first whale we were chasing out to see and then the captain suddenly decided to leave that one because of the choppy waters. The minky whale we saw next didn't really show very much, but it was still an awesome experience. My only negative was that upon the return journey back to the port, the waves were so choppy that my husband fell to his knees, which scared me considerably as the boat really listed to the side.

      Fantastic experience
We booked the whale watching tour with Reykjavik Sailors for our first full day of the trip and even though sea sickness hit, we had an amazing experience. We were warned that the waters would be a bit choppy beforehand and were asked if we required tablets which I gratefully accepted (although I would recommend taking two instead of one!) The tour itself lasted around 3 hours and we were lucky enough to see a fair few whales in that time. The guides provided a lot of information, even able to give you timings of when the whales would reappear after diving down. The scenery was also absolutely beautiful and provided the most spectacular backdrop. Warm, waterproof overalls are provided on board that you are welcome to wear on top of your layers to keep extra warm, food and drink are available to buy and there are toilet facilities on board. I would highly recommend this tour and tour company and would definitely brave the sickness to go again!

      Amazing Experience
So glad we did this amazing trip with Reykjavik Sailors booked with Viator. The tour guide was so informative and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Credit to the Captain too who did not disappoint us by locating Minky, Whales, Humpback Whales, Dolphins and Puffins. The ship was very clean and we felt safe at all times. It was very easy to book with Viator and locate the office at the dock and then the boat, again friendly welcoming staff. Refreshments on board were great too. This was definitely the highlight of our trip and we would highly recommend booking with Reykjavik Sailors

An amazing whale-watching with Reykjavik Sailors
I and others had an amazing whale-watching experience! The passionate and knowledgeable guide seems to have truly enhanced the tour, helping everyone connect deeply with the whales. Their enthusiasm and vivid explanations must have made the whole experience even more immersive and enjoyable. I had a great time with the Reykjavik Sailors' Team! Thank you very much!

      Whales, Whales, Whales!!!!
A first class operation! A fabulous experience. It is amazing how many whales you can see so close to the capital city of Iceland, We had a ten-hour layover on our way to Spain and took advantage of the down time. The trip was well organized and the guide, Lucas, was amazing. Lucas was knowledgable and entertaining. Of course, the highlights of the trip were the whales. We briefly saw some Harbor Porpoises, had many views of Minke Whales, and a LONG, LEISURELY encounter with a massive Humpback Whale! WONDERFUL!!!

I went with my brother and this was a great package deal for our last day in Iceland. It allowed us to have a bit of a later start to the day and gave us plenty of time to get back later to the hotel to pack for our early morning flight back home.

We started with the lava show and were lucky to be in a small group, having front row seats to the show and the opportunity to ask lots of questions. The host for the show was super passionate and knowledgeable.

Although the weather was a bit rainy and gloomy for the whale watching it still was a super experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, offering windbreaker jackets to stay warm and checked up on everyone throughout the trip. We saw a variety of sea life with the host talking us through each spotting and what it was we were seeing. The length of time was good enough to make sure we saw a variety of things and increase the opportunity to see something, whilst not being too long that you were wanting to head back to land. In the return journey Iceland was hidden by a wall of fog and there was something quite indescribable to be following the seabirds back to port, slowly watching as Iceland broke through the fog and the harbour became visible.

Overall, a great value experience package and I would recommend for anyone to do, with friends family or as a solo traveler!
