Glacier Hike fun
Our GAdventures group enjoyed the glacier hike with Valerio Sept 5, 2021. Besides being a spectacular place for views and learning about glaciers, Valerio was excellent. He is knowledgeable, patient and great at photo bombs. We thoroughly enjoyed him and the hike.

Even so it rained cats and dogs, we forgot about it and the time. Clément did an excellent job. We always felt well and safe during an amazing landscape made out of ice.

Epic Glacier Adventure
Aug 2021
Brook, our guide, was *fantastic*. A fount of knowledge of the glacier, Iceland geology, ice mountaineering, and the R programming language. He was humorous, friendly and ensured all members of the group had a wonderful experience. The hike was definitely doable for all levels, but it was no "walk in the park", but the gear and instructions enabled everyone to have a great time.

Fantastic experiance
we came not knowing what to expect and a little apprehensive. but then we met our guide Clement who was super professional and put us at ease. saftey and security were a priority and lots of information and knowhow. The walk itself not too difficult as long as you stick to some very basic rules. the sights on the glaciar and from it are astounding . hurry up in 50 years the glaciar will probably have melted. Thanks to Clement we had a great experiance.

Once in a Lifetime: Hike up a Glacier
Jul 2021
Had a great adventure hiking this Solheimajokull glacier! The 2.5 hours were perfect. Our group of 12 and 2 guides were just the right size! Guide we had (can't remember her name, but she was from Estonia). She was well versed/knowledgeable about glaciers, safety, etc....I'd say the hike was not easy, but yet manageable as long as one was extra careful and do what the guide says. The glacier is indeed melting, sad to say. To get to the bottom of the glacier was at least a 1/2 mile walk on gravel and the hike up to the top of the glacier was about an hour with stops. We were shown fissure and water gushes through them. A definite to-do if you want to know about glaciers and more!
