- M9045MXalisonb0 contributionsBeautiful experienceWe spent a lovely couple of hours with Josette creating bath bombs made of natural products. It was a de-stressing and super fun experience. The items in Josette’s pretty shop are so unique. You can truly tell that she is so passionate and truly loves what she does. We also made friends with Daisy her gorgeous and super friendly dog. We left her workshop with a big smile on our faces loaded with the bath bombs that we made during our time there. Well done Josette and Daisy.Written 22 November 2019
- Andria B0 contributionsAll Natural productsGot sunburnt very quickly on the first day being back on the island. Josette had just finished a batch of handmade, all natural aftersun with soothing ingredients. My shoulders were so burnt they were untouchable until I sprayed the hand made after sun to cool the burns. Great products with a great aroma. Well worth it!!Written 12 April 2019
- Joanna S0 contributionsBest handmade soap ever! The handmade soaps that Josette makes are truly sensational. Non-irritant, beautiful aromas, especially the lavender and green tea one, which surpasses any homemade soap I have found in Provence, France. These soaps make the most perfect gift as well as for use in the home. Josette also sells the best local wine and other local delicacies. In fact there are too many items to mention. Visit this shop when you are next in Marsalforn, you will not be disappointed. You can also purchase the soap at Hair & Co. near Arcadia in Victoria.Written 13 December 2018
- HOS700 contributionsMarsalforn needed a shop like thisI have just returned from Marsalforn after a three year absence and was keen to discover how much had changed and what new shops had opened. On my walk up to the grocery store I came across Hakari and lovely dog Daisy beckoned me in. When in Marsalforn, it's well worth visiting this shop, and it's only two minutes' walk from the seafront promenade. The owner, Josette, is friendly and chatty, and has crafted some items for sale in her shop herself, such as the handmade soap which looks and smells amazing albeit being on the pricey side compared with similarly artisan, handmade soap available in my small local town here in Ireland. Josette stocks the Savina range of preserves and flavoured salts, handcrafted silver jewellery with a nautical emphasis to its designs, items of furniture and homeware upcycled by herself, and much more. If you're looking for a souvenir or gift from Gozo but don't like the usual tourist tat, there's a good chance you will find something really nice in Hakari.Written 20 October 2018

- Shaun H0 contributionsLovely little shopRecently staying in Marsalforn, I had a search on trip advisor about things to do around, and Hakari came up Now we were staying opposite the shop, so decided to visit. What a lovely little gem it is, lovely hand made crafts, local food products and gifts, and lovely service, (you'll even get the chance to tickle a willing belly!!) PS the patè is to die for Thank youWritten 22 July 2017
- LancashireHot0 contributionsHidden GemThe term 'hidden gem' must have been invented for Hakari. So many different but unique articles and beyond helpful. I have a tiny apartment (less than 30m) shared by 2 so can't have anything that isn't exactly right. In Hakari I saw the size, shape and colour and design of vase I'd been looking for, but they were four separate things! Josetta commissioned one for me and it is absolutely perfect!Written 17 June 2017
- ricean0 contributionsInteresting handmade goodiesLovely handmade jewellery and unusal gifts for you and your friends/family. The owner was very friendly and attentive. Obviously very creative items on offer. This little shop is tucked away - so every effort should be made to explore and buy from.Written 6 June 2017

- Desi P0 contributionsGift for ClairI cannot commend Josette the owner of this amazing little tuck away store in Gozo enough. I was fortunate to visit this store during my amzing holiday in Gozo last September. I was taken away by all the hand made treasures this store had to offer. This year I needed a special gift for a special friend. I was thrilled to find this store on line. To my surprise my request was answered immediately. I received photos, sugestions and customer service next to none. The emails were frequent and informative, given the time difference ( I am in Australia) I felt that this person was working beyond the normal trading hours. I felt confident for Josette to pick herself the items for my hamper. Not only did she exceed my expectations she added personal touches that I would not have thought of. The surprises did not stop there, she personally delivered my gift to ensure it was received on time for my friends birthday. Not only do I recommend this hidden treasure to be explored, I am looking forward to paying another personal visit next time I am back. Thank you for the experience. A very satisfied customer!!Written 26 May 2017
- Immy C0 contributionsA treasure chest in Marsalforn bay!I stumbled across this delightful little store when I was doing a food shop next door at Ta Dirjanu. The owner, Josette, greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel instantly at home whilst we browsed the lovely things she has in her shop. It's easy to find as it's just up from the bay, and worth seeking out if you're looking for something special and unique to add to your home or give as a gift. She has some beautiful handmade wares from all over Gozo, including natural soaps and creams, unique silver jewellery, delicious room fragrances and foodie treats by Savina. Worth seeking out if you're visiting the area (and do come and say hello to Daisy the dog!)Written 16 May 2017
- Anne F0 contributionsHidden GemsA perfectly lovely small shop with an eclectic mix of products from shabby-chic furnishings to gorgeous handmade jewellery, hand-turned wooden bowls, and Gozitan preserves and chocolates. But the best thing is Josette, the most charming, helpful, warm and friendly proprietor - she does everything in her power to help you find the perfect gift. The premises are compact and the products artfully displayed. Give yourself a little time to enjoy this unique gift shop.Written 30 March 2017
