A stunningly memorable tour across the centuries and footsteps of history. Our guide - Mr Camel - was excellent providing background information and ensuring we enjoyed the day. We were happy to have a guide in Sedat. He was pleasant, chill and shared good information on the places we visited, including personal anecdotes. In fact, we booked a 2nd tour to Famagusta after completing the Kyrenia tour. The lunch places we were brought to were lovely as well! We definitely recommend Sedat and Side Tours.

The driver was very knowledgeable. We had a full day and a delicious lunch in a local restaurant where Camel (our driver)knew everyone.

The tour was boring and, of course, expensive for what it was. They charge 140 euros per person and the guide basically only wanted to stop at the cafes and bars he knew. He hardly stopped at the monuments that were on the route, in fact we had to tell him that we wanted to see them because he left without even going near them and he had no idea of the history of the buildings. Very very very very boring guide. The company Sidetour didn't even contact us to ask if the tour had gone well. I do not recommend it at all. I couldn't wait to finish the tour because the guide was really, really boring. Our recommendation is to rent a car in the Turkish area and do the tour on your own.

We can highly recommend this day trip to Kyrenia. Cemal was the perfect host and guide who met all our needs: punctual, flexible, educated and open minded. He gave us a good and detailed summary of the cypriot history during the drive to the spots we visited. The tour was well planed and he was giving us enough time, as we required. If we come back to Cyprus again, we would book a tour with them again.

We had an amazing one on one adventure with our knowledgable guide Özgür. His presentation of the history, archaeology and architecture were fascinating. Our guide picked us up from our location, took us to an amazing restaurant with delicious delicatessens and dropped us off at the end of the day. This definitely beats going on a bus with 40 other travellers, well worth the money to take a private tour with a guide.

Ozgur was a incredible tour guide. Nothing was too much trouble. Spent time answering questions and giving us ideas of what to visit in our spare time. He explained every little piece of history and was knowledgeable. Transport was efficient and the hoilday went smoothly with a large group of us. Thank you!

We had a great great day with our guide Sebnem! She's the best. We enjoyed a lot our day visting Karpaz peninsula. What an amazing landscape, people and history. Sebnem was so nice that we're sure we have now a friend from North Cyprus. She followed our adventures as a friend :)

This was a highly interesting tour that we would recommend strongly if you would like to get a taste of Northern Cyprus. The tour itinerary was perfect, seeing some of the best sights around Kyrenia. Ozgur was a fantastic guide - highly insightful and engaging throughout the tour. We could not have asked for a more enjoyable day.

WOW what a great day! Hiked up to the top of Buffavento Castle and admired what felt like the whole North! It was steep but worth the effort as those views were 😍 Then Ozgur took me for a lovely lunch in Kyrenia, followed by a walking tour of the city and I learnt a lot of quirky facts. Then went to Bellapais Abbey which is Stunning. Ozgur showed me around and explained a lot of history. I was also introduced to an ice cream like no other.....strawberry but the BEST strawberry icecream i have ever had 🍦

You can cross the border at this point by car or foot. We choose to cross by foot after being drop off by taxi. We walked though both control points using our passport. There is tourist information office after Turkish control point We ask them to get a taxi for us which took us to the varosia ghost town €10. Once there we hired some bikes to ride around the town. You are not allow into or take away anything form the town (lots of sign and barriers) but you can take as many photos as you want. The bike rental was very cheap for a couple of hours and you will have to leave a photo card as security for safe return of the bikes. The ghost town is still part of the no man's land between Turkish and Cypriot people with the UN posts in between. All houses, shopes etc have been left as it was since 1974 (but time has taken is toll)

Well thought through tour explaining the history of Cyprus and showing the stunning natural beauty of the northern part of the island. Ozgur is the perfect host and guide: punctual, flexible (I was traveling with elderly parents and he adjusted the itinerary on spot for them), knowledgeable, educated, open minded, welcoming but discreet. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience.

We did 5 different 1 day trips whilst based in Kyrenia taking in the many sights of Northern Cyprus. They were all very varied and guided by Ozghur. All our trips were well organised with good hospitality inclusive of the tour prices. He had a great knowledge of all the historical sites we visited and introduced to some excellent local cuisine. Ozghur was flexible accommodating various requests. Definitely will book trips with Sidetour iin the future.
